- This will show you how to replace the headlight bulbs in a Volvo S60. This car is a 2012 but should be the same for 2011 or other years that are close. On a difficulty scale of 1-10 (with 1 being easy enough for a 10 yr old kid to do and a 10 being something that requires many years of experience), this is about a 2.

Awesome video was stressed out and get me angry and frustrated and almost punched my cat after I knew I needed to change my headlight in my S60. It was a Sunday and I don’t like moving on Sundays because I work six days a week. This video was phenomenal. They put me in a good mood, and his lighthearted and humor telling me it’s very easy got me through. God bless this man I shall continue.

Thank you for showing the physical unplugging of the old bulb. I’ve gone through at least 4 other videos that skip past that part because they assume it’s obvious for my car that was actually the toughest part.
It is obvious. It's literally the same as every other car since like 1980

Yeah; I ended up giving up (as I don't have those screw drivers easily handy, and was juggling 5 other things this weekend and couldn't devote 3 hours to trolling CZcams). Ended up paying about ~$75 for the O'Reilly's Auto Parts to change it for me (in future I may try this on my own though).

great video, any ideas how to clean the haze of the lens that is really bad?
@@alexandraboff6632 - If the haze is on the outside then check any local auto parts store ( or even some place like WalMart) for a “headlight restoration kit”. The Meguire’s brand kit has worked well for me.

Don't you need to re-align the headlights afterwards? Or disconnect the battery beforehand?
There is no alignment / adjustment possible on these headlights. On the HID headlights I think you have to disconnect the battery but not on standard halogen bulbs.

I don’t know but i suspect it is. If you open your hood and see those metal rods then the answer is “yes”. 🙂

Yes, they both turn counterclockwise to take out.

No you don't. I would, however, do it with the engine off and the lights switched off to be safe.

I’m afraid that if a bulb change didn’t work you might need a mechanic. It could be many things. Sorry I couldn’t help!

My plug is not like that.
It’s possible that you have HID headlights and these are regular halogens. I’ve heard that changing the HIDs is different so you might have to go to a shop. 😞
