  • How to make Tin Shed Letters. Instruction to make these fonts from aluminum cans. Plus a tutorial on how to cut soda can, I used a Cricut Explore Air you can do the same process with most Die cutting machines. Make letters, numbers, shapes and emboss it with Cuttlebug Sizzix etc. Not only is this good for making numbers on a Clock its perfect to put names on wood, paper, scrapbook, etc. Great way to recycle soda cans.

Clear and concise. Easy to listen to you as you have everything ready to go and you know what you’re doing! Question re: blade. I heard you say blade style when you set custom. I’m not with my machine to check, is that the standard blade? Guessing it would be a good idea to set one blade for especially for aluminum?

Thank You for your kind words. Its the fine point blade (regular blade)

What a great idea. I never thought of using a cricut to do the metal. I love it! And what a super awesome idea to use pop can aluminum. I wondered how you got the corregated look. So smart! I am so impressed! You are so creative. These would make great address signs because they would weather really well. Oh the possibilities!

Very nicely done video! Thank you for your time and effort into making it and sharing your very creative idea. I just finished trying this technique and it came out awesome. I didn't have any of the wax on hand so I just clipped the aluminum letter in my Cricut tweezers, held it upside down and ran a lighter over the front side from underneath. It gave a cool effect. Just have to be very careful as the aluminum gets very hot but cools down quickly. Also have to be careful not to hold the lighter in one spot to long as it can start to warp and pull in on itself.
