    Is it possible to relocate mine, it's a bit higher than it needs to be. I unscrewed it and there's this metal frame that it's screwed to. It's not a box, it's a square metal frame

      I’ve never seen a metal frame for one before, it should just be wires back there than you can easily splice and add length to.

    I have an old Wayne dalton garage door opener. My remote works the device, but the wall mounted piece probably needs a new battery. How do I get into it to change the battery?

      If it’s a Quantum, you need to use a flat head screwdriver to pop the cover off

    How do you replace the exterior keypad and how do you know which model to buy in 2023 if you have a much older model installed?

    • @GarageDoorGuidance
      @GarageDoorGuidance  Před 9 měsíci

      It would really depend on what you have there. If it’s older than 25 years chances are you’re better off buying a new opener with a keypad in the box

    Does this device on the wall require batteries? Or is it plugged from behind?

    For some reason mine isn’t flashing the yellow light, the garage opens and closes but only with the panel outside

    Mine stopped working last night after a power outage. Thoughts?

      Logic board likely, a lot of the times they’ll get burnt out with the surges. ( logic board on the motor, unless everything else still works )

      The door works with remotes. There is a flashing yellow light on wall mount but it won’t operate the door. I tried to pair it using the button but it didn’t work.

      I would try to swap the wall control. Amazon has them and worst case you can just return it
