I had to make a quick edit of these two. I finished watching the finale today and the feels I got because of these two.
This should have been uploaded hours ago but rendering was a bitch.
Remember, the reason why we like the new Sauron is because he wants us to. He plays everyone, including us to paint himself as a romantic anti-hero in love with Galadriel, when in reality he controls everything like a puppeteer. He even convinces us all to think that Galadriel accepting his proposal would have redeemed him. He's the pure definition of Silver-tongue. Sauron the Deceiver's power of deceiving goes beyond the screen into our hearts, making him seem likable. He manipulates our thoughts to make Sauradriel a reality. This Sauron is the perfect smart cunning pure evil villan ever. Voldemort can go dig himself a ditch and grovel.
I still like the idea that at some point he wanted thevrings to be a pair of engagement rings.
Excellent. That is exactly right
While he is a deceiver his motives were genuine with Galadriel i even think she could’ve been the light to his darkness.
Refreshing to see somebody else that gets him. Most are really convinced he just wanted to stay and smith in Numenor and that Galadriel made him go evil and that she could have kept him from evil lol. As much as we don't want to believe it because Halbrand was so likeable.....Sauron is Sauron at the end of the day.
Now we need a fanfic ship where Galadriel accepts Halbrand/Sauron's offer.
Yes..
People complain about Galadriel as a warrior woman, proud and reckless, focused on revenge. They seem to forget that is a perfect description of Feanor, and he was even more powerful than she. Tolkien was at his best when he depicted the Elves as creatures not with human faults, but angelic ones, the foremost being Pride.
Feanor was the most human Elf Tolkien ever wrote.
Power couple galadriel n Sauron 😍
halbrand is skirting the line of villain and anti-hero, and the fact that we both hate and root for him is a testament to the nuanced writing of the character
Ok, why am I like, on Sauron’s side now, he’s just that good of a deceiver to make me think he’s misunderstood .. Ig that’s why he’s called Sauron the Deceiver lol
I need Celeborn to come in. Because I am seriously shipping Sauron & Galadriel so hard right now 🤦🏽♀️😂
Celebron has no charisma like sauron😁
THANK YOU FOR THIS. ❤️🔥 Yes. I love everything about them. And yes, it kills me.
I liked it. Galadriel was a short sighted individual. She needed to see the big picture, if he loves her in Halbrand mode, then that's better than he being in Sauron, Dark Lord mode. As his wife, she could have prevented him creating the great ring, the creation of the other rings outside of the three Elven rings, she stops his war against Celebrimbor, which ended with his death and the slaughter of a large number of Elves. She can stop the downfall of Numenor, as Sauron caused it, which he wouldn't if he, the greatest power in Middle Earth is content ruling Mordor, happy with the only woman he ever loved at his side, one of the most beautiful beings ever to live in Arda. Using his power and ancient knowledge as a Maia of Aule to enhance the lives of the denizens of Middle Earth, and be lauded for it. In time, he would realize it's better to be loved than feared. The big difference between Sauron and Melkor, is Sauron wanted to be a true King, loved and revered by all of his subjects, he wanted to be King of Arda, technically what Manwe Sulimo was in fact, but more hands on, direct, dominating his subjects as opposed to acting more like someone who didn't have much interest in the position so he didn't actually rule, like Manwe's approach. Melkor also didn't rule like a proper King, he was really about being destruction, corruption, killing, and darkness incarnate with a mind and calling himself a "King". Sauron on the other hand, had the potential to be a good or tyrannical King dominating Middle Earth. Eru himself must have thought this as more powerful beings who could easily have stopped him weren't allowed to, as if Eru said, "he shall have his chance as the dominant force of Middle Earth". Eru didn't allow, say, Orome or Tulkus to just go to Middle Earth and retrieve him and dump him into Mandos prison. In the Amazon variant reality, it's actually all up to Galadriel, his fate, the way Middle Earth's history would play out from this "Halbrand" mode onward. He will now revert to "Sauron" mode, he doesn't need it anymore, he isn't trying to live in Numenor anymore, Galadriel has decided to reject him and to not treat with him, so he will go back to darkness, broken by losing her. Like with Anakin fearing to lose Padme, he turns to the dark side, fully goes dark when he loses her, Halbrand will now fall into a dark pit of despair, nothing of light to keep him from going full dark side. Halbrand seemed to enjoy, be happy working with Celebrimbor and the craftsman Elves, happy with the prospect of being with Galadriel, he seemed to have no intention of becoming a great and terrible Dark Lord. He had almost fully reverted to his craftsman Maia of Aule self, all gone now, nothing is left to him but to be the Dark Lord of Mordor.
Sad 😢
This needs an alternate universe where they both fall in love and then she influences him to be good.
@@aileenlanuzo2002 Yep. It could have been this one Amazon is depicting, but for Galadriel's rash, and hasty refusal.
Um, nope. His repentance is a guise. Not genuine. She can't 'fix' him. His future choices are his and his alone.
@@dutchkel No. It's canon that his repentance was not a guise. He didn't return to villainy for over 1,000 years after the fall of Morgoth, until deep into the 2nd age with his "Rings of Power" scam. That is the Canon, here, this is really an alternate reality, so, I'll take Halbrand's word for it, she indeed fixed him, he was happily working with Celebrimbor in developing the rings of power. Without his help they wouldn't have found a way to save the Elves. He was a craftsman Maia of Aule that Melkor, the true Dark Lord of Arda, ensnared/seduced away to his side. It seems Galadriel made it easier for him to revert to something closer to his original mode.
Did Amazon REALLY try to make a love story between Galadriel and Sauron?
LMAO
Galadriel has also been corrupted by the darkness also in the PJ trilogy
naaaaa, I think that was part of the "secret"; people were supposed to root for Galadriel and Haldbrand, but given the fact that everybody was pretty sure that Halbrand was Sauron from the start, it didn't really work.
In the dream sequence/confrontation scene, I think he was simply trying to corrupt her. Sauron's an evil and cunning dude. Galadriel told him right to his face that she will never stop hunting Sauron - and thus, he tried to make her his alley by digging into her "soft spot". Galadriel - even in the books - has a weakness for power (she wants a kingdom of her own which she gets later when founding Lothlórien) and is a prideful and strong-willed (or stubborn) character.
It is only fitting that Sauron - who is a master manipulator - tries to exploid this weakness of hers.
This is why they took lines from the temptation scene in the PJ trilogy.
In my opinion, this isn't really much of a love confession. It's simply a trick to manipulate her and make her his alley - when it doesn't work, he turns against her and leaves her to drown.
Sauron was just using her, he's a complex guy, he's not like the one dimensional Peter Jackson sauron, which showed a big guy in a suit. He's the master manipulator
It's never a love story. Merely mutual respect. Charlie Vickers said in his Sauron interview that Sauron does not have any love interests. He only saw Galadriel as a potentially powerful ally he can share power with.
This is son good
Now when I will hear this song I will ship these two 😘😘😘
😂❤
there are shippers for them? wtf.
Apparently there is. This is literally worse than what a lotr fanfic would be
