Major respect for the drummer dude that dropped his stick, picked it up, kept the beat and came back in without missing it. Well done, sir!
he's a bloody legend that kid.
xaqshunr true
2 times, lol
Yeah. That was great. I've seem people who have played longer than that kid has been alive not come back in so well.
xaqshunr that was adorable!!! I was laughing and yelling into my phone, “just get another from the basket!!!” ...then realizing those are probably his only two sticks. Haha!! I loved it!!!!! These kids make me smile, I’m so proud of them all.
This kid at the drum could have panicked after dropping his stick, but he stayed focused and managed to go back in the game. At that age, this requires nerves. Congratulations!
Florent Diverchy He is on that beat too! Great timing!
He is the beast drummer 🥁
he is the kid with sticks on 46 and 2 video (Tool cover)
Definitely the highlight of the video. The 46 and 2 cover is still the best.
@@shoebunny check out Victim of Changes. Little girl singing is the whip❤
Ive been playing drums for 30 years. Regarding the little dude that dropped his drumstick, he did what any of us without a stick depot would've done. And he did great! Watching this 8 years after the fact, I bet hes an absolute drum monster today.
i'm a guitar player...but, i've seen it done. at that age, and to have the presence of mind, the fortitude to go on. i love it
20 years here and I couldn't have done better with or without a depot!! Kept his cool for sure.
I love that the mic’s picked up the stick falling.. then rolling 😂.. too funny (wouldn’t of heard that in the audience😂) They could’ve edited it out and also not shown that on video.. but they chose to.. which was classic .. cause it does happen all the time, lol!
Mad respect lil dude👌🏼🤘🏼
@@Skellabunny420 The stick clatter and silent roll off sounded as if it was intended. I've listened to this song since it was released. Well done!
I’m 65, and I’ve heard this song a hundred times…, but when that “kid” went into his solo….GOOSEBUMPS. Fantastic job, all of you, keep it going, you have a great future ahead of you.
First time for me to hear it. I'm 66 and I think it's well executed and I love it. Great job, I'm very impressed.
First Ozzy sober album.
Definitely in my top 3 Ozzy.
Kids did an awesome job on this
I couldn’t replicate that solo and have been playing for 45 years.
The kid on lead pulled off that solo off perfect....
adam berndt thanks!!
@@misterdemerol SO GOOD!!
@@misterdemerol dude that was awesome.
Had to watch it twice. First time burned my face off. That whole build up, transition & solo was sick!
That solo would make Zack proud
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like the epic monster drummer from the 46 and 2 video is playing kettle drums in the backup percussion section, and the little kid that played the sticks is now killing it on the lead drum kit.
That shows awesome improvement from the little guy and the older guy being a gracious mentor. This school is SUCH a great example of what education should look like!
@rmcaniel423
ONE THING I HAVE NOTICED about these videos, in every video, there is a different "STUDENT" on a different instrument for each song, RARELY do you see the kids playing the same instrument, which in turn leads me to believe, they are being taught DIVERSITY thru music, teaching them to EXPAND their talent to different areas of music, not just "you play "this", and you play "This", and that's all you're gonna learn"....... MAD PROPS TO O'KEEFE MUSIC FOUNDATION for allowing these talented, young people to showcase their talent like this.... BRAVO!!!! and to the Young Stars???? KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!! YOU ARE ALL TALENTED IN MAY WAYS!!!
AzuuleFiredragon101 Very cool post bro. Nicely said. These kids are fuckin awesome.
I call it like I see it, I don't beat around the bush.... never have , never will. These videos showcase kids of all ages, playing different instruments, and doing vocals, which makes me think Okeefe Music Foundation is trying to broaden these kid's talents to more than one thing, which is where I believe all schools should do to begin with.
Damn right. Music to me is as important as fuckin food, lol ! So kids should be able to be taught any instruments in schools.
hehe, monster drummer dude is epic .. see 4:24 haha
I bet Ozzy has seen this and maybe...cried a few tears because of the talented young people that took this song to a different level!!! 🙌
And sharron probably wanted to get paid
Zack would be proud of this guitar solo!!! Well done Son, Well done !!!!
Let’s give the bass player some credit as well he did good.
Slayer
OH HI MARK
Definitely, he was amazing. I think a lot of people always overlook the bassists in a band.
Without one, it wouldn’t be. They all killed it. I was probably still struggling to write my own name when I was the age of the drummer. 🤘🏼
Iam frian cook in hotel Aliyana indonesia temanggung
that drummer boy losing a stick and gets back on time is epic!
Its what made me instantly subscribe to the channel haha.. bit like the cardiacs live jibber and twitch rehearsal with the dog barking in background :] must watch too
its not messing up that matters, its the recovery. Cant panic and he did great
Drummer Kid Epic Boy !
It was actually trash asf ngl
it was cute, but in the real world that would've been his last gig. :o)
I can never wait for the guitar solo when I hear this song. I wasn’t sure what to expect building up to it but when he cut loose I new right away I wouldn’t be disappointed. That kid was awesome, as they all were.
Best part of the song. And he did it justice by far
2:32 as a guitarist that would make me want to set down my guitar and leave
The kid nailed the guitar solo and I was impressed with all of them.
Found this video 5 yrs ago and I come back once in a while just for that guitar solo. Perfection.
Don’t know if they DI’d and then reamped or used the cabs in an isolation room and cranked the overdrive, but both those guitar players had some phat, phat wicked tones
I’m 52 years old and that’s one of the most talented. group of kids I’ve ever seen. We can never underestimate the kids
Stellar recovery from the drummer. True sign of a pro.
hahahahahaha...did you see that? Smooth young blood, smooth
wheres his extra sticks?!?!
+vinny Indeed. Every performance is a lesson! Little guy learned one there. Always have spare sticks in reach! That being said, kid did a great job of keeping his cool!
These kids kick serious ass. Check out "You Will Be Mine" and "Cowboys From Hell".
Got the stick back, got the beat back! Twice! Awesome sense of rhythm. Only advice is yes...get a stick bag, hang it on your floor tom. And if you don't loose a stick you will have one to give to an adoring fan!
Esa Edvik ŽQzz
The chicks singing backup , headbanging . Metal lives on !!
I'm so proud to see these kids keeping actual music hands on alive..they all rock and deserve everything life has to offer...I love it..keep it up kiddos go for gold
Exactly my thought.
Totally agree
i love all the kids but you see that is directed to be that way. The boy one time is with glasses other time without. Still love the video.
Best cover ever. Way to go guys. From an old farmer sitting in his John Deere, that grew up on this music. You guys are great.
Please help keep music programs alive in public schools!
I second that. Too much money spent on athletics, and not enough on the fine arts, imo.
I've been saying the same thing. 1000 likes if I could.
Let's keep them busy with satan and his demons, wtf....👍💯
The reason there's so much shitty music out there is due to public school music programs. Id much rather donate to things like this.
@Meka Leka Himekahineyho my point was that I don't think personally, that little kids should be listening TO or even PLAYING Iron Maiden and Slayer music, I mean c'mon give 'em a reason to live why don't you? I think it's a little too much too late and nobody gives a flying SHIT. SO pEace..✌️... 🤪💯👍
the kid drumming is epic! best come back ever!
It happened 2 times 👌👌👍
OMG LOVE THEM!!!!!! The drummer child recovered real quick and picked up that banging stick and kept going!!!!! Love that child the most. Maybe because of all instruments drums I love the most. He going to be phenomenal if he keeps it up!
In my opinion drums are the hardest instrument to learn. All 4 limbs doing something completely different yet in time.
I love that they give the little kids a chance to play with big kids
Skill has nothing to do with size.
little dude dropped a stick but recovered and kept rocking, the base line was smooth as butter...and kid played that solo like he was walking to class..a and the little dude playing the kettle drum that threw up the horns..all reasons to love this!
The kid that 🤘🏼totally killed the performance in 46 & 2 from tool on the drums when he played in that video... But this group other than the bassist and the backup vocal chicks seemed to have lacked any enthusiasm and was very bland for me ...😕
and dont forget the "trill" at 6:15, the guy is playing in open D with a slide.
that was a different kid to play forty six and 2 .
+hogensan I said that a month ago
better than a lot of the studio versions by the actual artist. these kids have been practicing for many years and the amount of discipline (and fun) and classical training, and the videography makes this a classic I will long enjoy.
Ozzy would be proud and Zakk would have to appreciate dude's solo.
+Phillip Eaton agreed
have to appreciate dude's solo... have to appreciate dude's solo... have to appreciate dude's solo... a lot!
He would not appreciate lack of pinch harmonics :D
Tommy Dixon, you need to stop drinking. Kid knows how to play guitar but you need to be hammered if you say that this solo was better than Zakk's..
@Tommy Dixon ... no one who has followed Wylde in his career, or seen the insane solos he pulls off live, or have witnessed his versatility would make a statement like that.
I have to watch this every couple of months. Brings tears to my eyes. Such a wonderful foundation and such great music. Anybody who hasn't watched the other songs by the other kids that this foundation has done, is missing out!
i'm not a huge youtube bloke (let alone instatwiktok) as busy as but ye these give good vibes. seeing as i'm on break and in a nice hotel chillin i guess i must sort it out and get back. cheers kids
I'm the metalest of all metal maniacs, and I too got a lump in my throat.
This is what Kid's Bop should be.
That comment made me cry joy tears
my faith in humanity and the human race just kinda got restored
This is the way Kids Bop should be
+Shane McCollum lol they did GOOD
Its in our SOULS to SING~Bravo kids~Should be done in every school and that will demolish Hip Hop garbage which teaches HATE and FEMALE ABUSE~Bring Rock BACK~
The little guy on the drums, kudos little guy, you dropped the sticks but kept the beat going. Nice recovery!
This is the coolest school on the planet, I'm so jealous. Aaron Okeefe, you're a genius.
No doubt Moon! Major kudos to this program!
Definitely.
every city should have one, instead of spending money on war machines, invest in childrens lifes, now trumpster closes down for music in schools

@@motorlife7037
@@motorlife7037 Proof, please.
Bless that little drummer's heart! The drumsticks outweighed him by 40 lbs! However, he quickly recovered, and as some of you pointed out, he didn't miss a beat! Great job!
This was funny
@@wallacewhite9830 cutest thing ever. they all so great wish other countries had this (all i mean don't say)
Who greased that rock legend’s drum sticks?!
This just proves that a great song is a great song. Change it up, strip it down or make it your own and it'll continue to be so. It doesn't hurt being talented and compassionate musicians like these kids as well. GREAT guitar solo!
PROPS TO THE DRUMMER! MAD RESPECT! Little dude lost his stick, but he didn't panic, and got back in just in time!
He is the dude playing the bones on 46 and 2 cover.
This kid fuckin nailed the solo like a PRO. Whole band did fuckin well :D
I’d love to shake the hand of everyone involved with this video. The song, great, the kids did great and I love the errors too, it makes the video.
Special hats off to the kid on drums.
I'm sixty and played in a metal band in the eighties. I love this! The little variations were a nice touch. Flawless guitars. I like they never cut away from thar drummer dropping the stick and how he kept on keeping on. Good job little rocker brother. The chorus with childred voices were haunting. Awesome killer cover. Aloha from Hawaii.
Little Dude on drums has the heart and soul of John Bonham. Wait and see. Kid doing the devil horns and the girl playing air guitar tells me rock is good hands!! Well done!!
Hell, I'm just glad they're teaching real true rock to these kids. Folks, this is the next generation of rock; for Christ's sake lets hope they put out some great music. Is that litttle drummer about 6? Little guy is a real pro - great recovery kid.
amazing recovery, made the whole video better
I'd love to see what that little drummer is today in 2024. Now that it's ten years later. I'm hoping he's an absolute beast on the drums, still to this day!
Guitar solo was killer I'm sure Zach Wylde is proud. Bravo great job kids 👏
Awwwwww, little dude doing the spoken word part melted me!
I am 61 years old. When I was in high school, there was a program I signed up for that was a magnet music program for all of the high schools in my city. We had a similar experience many, many years ago. The influence that had on me caused me to become a closet musician while I pursued my day job to make a living. The beauty of musical talent is that you can share it or keep it to yourself, just don't stop the music. My day job has funded my passion for music for many, many years. I am nearing retirement and now have more than 45 instruments in my collection, mostly stringed but I have a couple of keyboards, 6 or 7 amps, 40 or so guitars, acoustics, electrics, basses, mandolins, banjos, violins, ukuleles. It all started with my mother making me take piano lessons as a youth for 6 or 7 years. I hated it at the time but I went on to play the trumpet, first clarinet, and then got in to guitars. The first songs I learned were Stairway to Heaven and In Memory of Elizabeth Reed listening to am radio because they played them over and over again. I memorized those two songs and played them by ear. I am so looking forward to my retirement to dust the instruments off and play until I drop dead.
64 and an arsenal of axes drums oh hell a regular bar and stage with lights PA AMPS guitars everything we need to rock. Never stopped EITHER. Never will ever stop rocking.
I LOVE watching these kiddos! They make me happy! I can’t wait to see what they do when they’re older!!!! The future of music is what they are!!!!
It's a joy knowing how timeless Ozzy is, watching the youth enjoying his music is just another "Rock N Roll with never Die! " testament.
How can they not like these songs? Good music is just that, it really does not matter *when* it was made, to deny this fact you're only going to miss out. And also it's important to study music such as classic blues songs if you're learning to write your own music.
I mean, if you think about pretty much any band you like, they were inspired by musicians before them and they usually had a fairly diverse range. Some are classically trained. They understand something about music that should be acknowledged.
I love how the Drummer counts himself back in after dropping his stick. It didn't even seem to phase him. I'm jealous! Production quality is first class, just like the talent in each student,
A subtle part was where the more aggressive drummer (see previous videos) was given a literal industrial (strength) drum.
Little drummer mans sense of timing is AWESOME
I'm the C.O.O. / Exec. V.P. of a nonprofit that works with teens and young adults. I LOVE WHAT YOU ALL ARE DOING!! In the past I've had kids in my programs that wanted music lessons. Until now I had nowhere to refer them.
I love the work you’ve done in the studio as producer of some of the most iconic songs from a lot of the legendary bands that I grew up listening to.
THe Drummer drops a stick and recovers it in tempo ! Bravo !
Man the little drummer boy is WICKED! I'd watch videos of just him! Also, lead guitarist nailed the pinch harmonic squeals and trills. The rhythm guitarist also hit the trills and did that unique metal slide sound really faithfully to the album. Sooooooo jealous of you kids getting this kind of experience which I will never have in my entire life!
He doesn't play the pinch harmonic; it is pinched at the second fret in the actual recording. This guy is playing the actual note. Amazing playing though; great solo work.
Only Zakk can make the squeals the way we hear them, that's "His" thing on every song he plays on. But this kid nailed it completely. I wish there was a program like this when I was a kid.
Syclone0044 Have you seen them do Meatloaf ? and concrete blonde, the kids are like 5 yrs old and rock
Brannagan O'Brannagan b
Syclone0044 love when he drops the sticks and gets right back in it.🤘🏼😜
Kid drumming never quit and still kept the beat. Well done!
God knows how many times I have watched this vídeo...and I cried every single time !
Bring it back 9 years later cuz that kids are just so fkn amazing
NAILED that guitar solo. Everything these kids produce is absolute gold.
When the camera cut to the drummer and he dropped his stick I almost spewed my coffee. So cute.
+No Lie hahahahaha. doesn't he have any extra sticks? LOL.
+Heu T lol Good thing it didn't fly off too far.
+No Lie ... and dude handled it like a boss, stone cold, pick it up, back in the groove and play on.
I'm so happy they didn't edit that out. Every kid handled it like a pro. Very cool indeed!
+sween1911a1 damn right it didn't faze him 1 bit
Looks like the future of rock and roll is good hands 👍‼️
Drummer is gonna be just fine. In life sometimes were gonna drop a stick, you pick it up and jump back in! RESPECT !!
At 2:32 - the girl, who does that air guitar, is my spirit animal!
I love that. She's rockin that air guitar.
No doubt she rocks. Great group of kids.
True
Seeing the kids love this song makes me so happy. There is hope
Six people have no taste in music, no real life, and can't possibly seem to help promote a child's love and interest in music. How can anyone dislike this? You guys and gals did a great job! I loved it!!!
That kid jumped right back in on the drums without any hesitation. He got his beat and kept rockin'. He'll be a rock star someday.
I had the rock n roll fantasy at that age then something called life took over. Love watching these amazingly talented boys and girls rocking out❤❤
This was just KILLER!!!!! The kid playing lead totally nailed the solo! Zakk Wylde would be very proud! The little guy doing the spoken word was sickeningly cute. Very cool thing you folks have going on there, music is and always will be a very important part of all lives. Thank you.
O'Keefe Music Foundation the best school of rock
Now without Jack Black :P
@@AdariousMistdancer I'm on a highway to hell
Absolutely love this... As a life long Ozzy fanatic, this brought tears to my eyes. A wonderful job.
Ozzy rules
No more tears!🤣
The drum recoveries were the most professional parts of the whole video. Not phased a bit - grabs the sticks and plays through. Perfect. That's a true showman! You're all so talented, and I hope we see great things from all of you for years to come.
butterfingers on the drums! lol... j/k he does a great job getting right back at it. great work from everyone!
Man I feel for the drummer. I remember when I first started playing I was chucking sticks left and right! 20 years later and not much has changed lol
+Josh Feazel Not a matter of if but when it happens and at the most inopportune times!
Same, not the playing for twenty years thing but the dropping sticks thing.
+Josh Feazel I used to drop sticks every time I played. Finally got fed up and wrapped my sticks with hockey tape and then grip tape. I haven't drop one since.
+Josh Feazel My first reaction was.. man, that sucks... I hate when it happens.. always at the worst times too.. BUT he recovered well and hopefully he learns from it. Keep grip on them sticks AND always keep spares on the floor tom and Hi-Hat side... :P ok ok and stick one on the bass drum too lol
+Josh Feazel lol... me too bro... he did a damn good job ..... i always hate breaking a stick and not realizing it.... ruined a few skins that way
Salute to the Rocker Babe, Who Could Not Resist The Music, Sound, Anymore, And Had To Start Playing..GUITAR..Air Guitar..Salute You....Hope You Never Change....
💞💞💞💞
They give me hope for the future. God bless them all...and, thank you!
The drummer was the little kid who clicked the sticks in 46 and 2.
Those were claves, sir.
Curtis Moss was also the drummer in the Number of the beast video
Kid has rythm what can we say
No he wasn't he's on the kettle drum
No he wasn't he played kettle drum dude
That kid on drums dropping his drumsticks is just priceless. I'm glad they kept it in and the kid on lead guitar seriously nailed the solo. Well done !
God bless that drummer. These kids killed it and the drummer showed perseversance.
Wow man when my guy drops the stick, picks it up,AND COUNTS THE BEAT AND KILLS IT AGAIN RIGHT AWAY!!! Is so awesome super impressed with that
This is the greatest cover of an Ozzy song ever! All it needs now is a post song interview where no one can understand a word the lead singer says.
The little boy saying the speech was sooooo cute!
My guitar playing has Improved in ways I couldnt have Imagined with just CZcams !! Being able to attend a School like this in the mid or late 80's would have been a Revelation ... These kids are truly blessed to have this opporotunity !!
ok, I'm starting to see trend: this Foundation has great drum teachers. All videos that I've seen have outstanding drumming. I mean sometimes guitarist shines, sometimes bassist, sometimes vocalist, but drummer plays great every time - and these are different young drummers!
Man, all I can say is wow, little dude on the drums your going to be a hit one day, you dropped the stick but didn't panic, you picked it right back up and got right back to it. That is a sure sign of a pro!
Lawrence Rouse walked right back in on the beat! Excellent timekeeping!
I wish I had a program like this when I was kid. It got pretty cold rocking out in my parents garage!
Agreed lol...
They are some of the most talented musicians I think I've ever seen at this age
Frickin awesome…….their is hope for the younger set……”Rock On Kids”……👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
The second time little man drops his stick might be one of the funniest things I've ever seen online. I'm still laughing as I type this. Not at him -- these kids are amazing and I respect all of them very much -- but at how innocent and charming it is. This little guy kills it with the claves in the 46 & 2 video, btw. God bless you kids!
The girl in the girls just want to have fun video does a great job as well. Better at me than multitasking. I see a shiny and I'm like *SQUIRREL!*
Adult already
I feel young again watching this. Remember when you were young and would get that feeling you couldn't describe from real music like this? I'm very grateful to these people for letting me feel it again.
I love, love the flute and clarinet along with the spoken verse.
I've been listening to Ozzy for 37yrs absolutely brilliant well done , you guys are so talented 👍
Their voices in the chorus take it to a darker level!
Haha, one good reason to ever become a father \mm/
These parents should be really proud of their kids
I’m so impressed with all those young people. I hope they are all still involved in music.
Drummer is playing with tree branches! so awesome, great job all of you🤟🤟🤟
This...is education. Having kids of all ages make a cover of awesome songs. Art, music, computer, sports....every kid is capable in doing something if they put their mind to it and have an awesome educator to teach them.
kid killed it on that solo. I am so impressed by these children!
kayd thanks!!
Yea the kid singing is great!
awesome amazing well done loved it
The kid drops his stick and keeps the count!! Epic!! Keep doing what you are doing OMF
The back ground singers add a level both dark and beautiful at the same time
Each one of your vids bring a tear to my eyes Aaron.I love how your young vocalists sing with so much Heart.I lose myself, watching these kids nail it.God bless u all.Keep rocking.LET THERE BE METAL \m/
anytime Im feeling down or a hard day I listen to these guys and it lifts my spirits. Amazing school/project big hugs to all the kids involved :)
This.video came out 8 yrs ago. I found it 2 or 3 yrs ago and I’ve watched it at least 4 times now and it’s always awesome. These kids are likely out of college by now if that was their path. I hope they’re still playing and playing rock.
Thank GOD that kid dropped the stick, now I have some grounds to believe they're mortal after all
I think Zakk Wylde should give this kid a signed bullseye les paul. he deserves it
which kid? they all did a great job on a song that isnt very easy
your pretty generous with zaaks stuff... I think you should give him one now
Yes indeed he does. Quite impressive.
Zakk's Original "bullseye" Les Paul was stolen. That is so bunk!
Pretty sure Zak didn’t play that originally
WOW..!!! what a surprise jam session of these ..."dudes and dude-ettes".....WOW... i wish and/or hope ozzy himself has heard this track. coming from a 67 y.o. guy who has seen hundreds of concerts since 13 y.o. (including seeing Jimi Hendrix live twice !!!... once in my home/birth town of baltimore md./ and i was at that infamous new years eve show at the Filmore east in ny. and i can still hear "machine gun" in my ears today...right now)... but these young folks did a fantastic job with Ozzy's cut here... great job... i don't know where they are now in life... as this was produced 9 years ago from now... (5/19/2023)... but this was a great rendition... way to go folks..!!!!
I'm sure most people missed the whale sound part, but I was listening for it seeing the Ozzy video has been one of my all time favorites forever!! It means so much to me that they care about what happens to the whales.
