- This is a video tutorial on how to replace your front brake pads only on a 1997-2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ 4wd. I replaced my rear drum brakes earlier this year and now I’m changing my front brake pads because the driver side is wearing faster than the passenger side. Hope this video helps, if it does please subscribe.

I can’t believe I’m actually even considering doing this myself with no experience. 🤦🏾♀️
Hey thanks for watching. You can definitely do it. It’s not as hard as you think. Just make sure to take the brake fluid cap off before compressing the caliper. Just follow the steps in the video and you’ll be golden.
Real nice, thankyou.
Hey thanks for watching. Happy to hear my video helped. Hope you subscribe!
Can you do this with a lifted jeep? I have a 99 XJ
@@TheMsBriggles hey thanks for watching and yes you can. This Jeep XJ had a 6 inch lift.
what holds the rotor in place?
Hey thanks for watching. On this one the spacer does. If you don’t have a spacer then those 5 nuts do. Hope this helps and hope you subscribe!

@nathanmccumber8965 Hey unfortunately I never had any of those issues so I never made any repair videos for them.
@@ucanfixit1 wat about A/c I got recharge it blowing hot air still there no leak.
@@nathanmccumber8965 I have a video on how to diagnose the a/c it’s for a Honda but the steps are the same.
@@ucanfixit1 I'm check it out should I check a/c relays fuses.
@@nathanmccumber8965 definitely! There’s a fuse that has the snow flake on it that goes bad sometimes and will make the vehicle blow hot air.
