Either you need the unlimited plug-in version because of the bigger file size or even the target host is blocking the transfer. Have you ever had these problems? Just a word of precaution to all. If your Account name on Windows has any kind of special character in it (cyrllic or å ä ö, for example) Local WILL NOT WORK. You will not be able to install a local site, cause Local can´t read your hosts file. I cannot believe they don´t fix this. According to them, it is a "low priority" issue. Are they aware people speak other languages...?

Why do you use Local? Is it not possible to download and install WordPress then simply execute WordPress? I tried to download and install local. It downloaded along with a .exe.part file; however the local.exe file would not install on my Windows 10 machine. What's up with that?

You can setup a local WordPress installation easy with Docker Compose. Does Local have any advantage over Docker?

You can't. You can make a duplicate using all in one wp migration and install the same website in another computer using LocalWP.
