It's really hard to get a feel for just how fast they go and how loud they are until you go. Make sure to bring some ear protection because after a while it can get pretty brutal on your ears. I live about ten miles from Charlotte motor speedway and I can hear the cars going around the North end of the track in my backyard.

The day before the race seen in that clip, a car flew into the catchfence on the final lap in a different race. Debris flew into the stands. A whole wheel landed in one of the seats. Some fans were taken to the hospital. They have since upgraded the fence so that doesn't happen anymore.

He says he stopped exposing him to danger in races, where a loose piece of rubber from a tire could kill him. He also mentioned that filming NBA players from a short distamce could also cause injuries.
