Just love the kitchen, your wife Irena has great styling taste. The white with the brass & the granite & size of the bench is fantastic. You did a great job, the pendant lights really make a statement in a good way. It's added so much functionality & value to the house. Definitely your best & biggest project so far.

You could mount wedge-shaped blocks on the ceiling from which to hang the pendants/chandeliers. That way it can be installed level as intended with the block making up the difference between the ceiling slope and level.
My first thought too. Forget messing with the pendants, deal with the mounting surface. This gets even more fun when trying to mount a 72” ceiling fan with a 4’ drop rod. Of course, they make sloped ceiling adapters and such, but man it’s still a pain.
The kitchen turned out fantastic. Much more modern and way more functional.

As an American, I don't understand textured walls. It looks old. One of the textures I hate the most are popcorn ceilings. So hard to clean and in my opinion makes the ceiling appear lower.
I love smooth walls because it looks so modern. and simple.

Man, I love everything about this. One tip though, when you're spraying that orange peel texture from the rattle can, let the can soak in warm water for about 10 minutes before you spray; it really helps it spray better. Also, when you do spray it, use circular motion rather than a sweeping motion. Texture will blend much better when all said and done. Kudos on the job job well done though, its gorgeous!
May we all get his confidence on future projects of our own. Dudes got balls and I guarantee our significant others would not trust any of us with this type of stuff. Kitchen is sick, good job dude!

Homeboy is unreal! Not a builder and created one of the cleanest, most modern kitchens EVER! I can hear the screams from my wife now as I start ripping off the subway tile backsplash. You know that quarts countertop and backsplash make that space. BEAUTIFUL!

There are some design choices that I wouldn't make for my personal projects, but the way you executed looks great!
And you've addressed in previous videos that the kitchen didn't *need* a remodel, but the finished product completely transforms your living space. Love the larger island.
I feel I need your help in figuring out options for our kitchen.
That sloped section of ceiling finished in shiplap or t&g in the same finish as the island would’ve been the cherry on top.

Great job guys. Completely different kitchen. I love the general layout of the kitchen, the frosted glass upper cabinet doors, the unpainted wood on the bar side of the island, and the brass faucets and fixtures. Personally, I would’ve liked a wood texture on the range hood and a different color tile backsplash to offset all of the white in the room. I’m also not a fan of waterfall countertops. All that being said, this is your home and it suits y’all’s taste. Incredible work as always, and this channel is such an inspiration.

To even out the fixtures (other than the links) you could have made a wedged shaped box to mount to the roof with a remodel box in it to make the mount for the light flat and not on an angle. Make it decretive and paint it white to match the rest of the kitchen. either way a pain and you got it handled.

Aren't you scared of the residual steam that the extractor hood doesn't get, that it will swell up the wood from the bottom?

Hopefully he primed the entire thing. Meaning the inside and the cut edges.
Remember he always says "he isn't a professional, he is just not afraid to try and fail" this is likely something he didn't consider yet being as when you look at a couple of the shots the inside of the hood facia (box) is not primed and appears to be natural wood. I bet he will likely correct this in the future, as he has gone back to previous projects and fixed them back in his earlier videos (a year + ago)
@@Iamk2jones Primer wont keep moisture at bay for very long. That hood will warp and swell eventually. It looks nice but its not functional imo. That is why all hoods are some type of metal. The only way i can think that might last longer is seal it with polyurethane, but that wont last very long.
as a contractor this is the wrong type of extractor fan for this project, they make specific ones that are meant to be inlaid in cabinets or enclosed woodwork/platerwork. How do they access the buttons? Etc

It looks a lot better for sure. Not sure I would have gone with a color that white. It looks very sterile. A more creamy white is how we did our kitchen.
