    Can you help me? Something went wrong with me and I don’t know why! I recorded my song on buffer size 128. Then I started doing the mixing process on buffer size 520. Then the session started to change its course based on the rhythm. Then I went back to put it back as it was on buffer size 128 again to fix the error, but to no avail. It has completely lost its correct path... Is there a solution?

    Perfect tutorial. I have a question that should I check resample in sample settings for 48000 Hz since my sound device only supports this sample rate? If yes, then how can i have this checked automatically everytime I drag samples into the channel rack?

    I have a problem and it is that when I am listening to a sound in a loop and put another one on top to see how it would sound, it glitches and starts to backfire at the time I play it but after several times the backfire disappears. And another problem I have is that if I have several sounds from different plugins, I don't know if it's because of the plugins or why it will be, but it depends on what it is, it also backfires. If you help me you are my savior. I don't know if it helps but I do it from a Macbook and I don't have a sound system only my headphones…

      What audio device are you selecting in the FL Studio settings tab? And what buffer size are you selecting? Those will likely be the cause of your computer glitching

    • @mixwithjerry
      @mixwithjerry  Před 2 lety +1

      1)Right click your hi hat channel in the channel rack
      2) select piano roll to open the piano roll for this channel
      3) this gives you more flexibility to place more hi hat notes on the grid
      4) there is a toolbar at the top left of the piano roll that contains a magnet looking icon. Click that to select the type of piano roll grid you want

    Thanks Jerry this is really useful 👍 I have an issue that I can't resolve, when opening up the splice app when fl studio 20.9 is open I can't hear the preview samples in splice through my headphones. I have the auto close feature enabled in FL, but there's still no sound when previewing samples. I'm using a focusrite 2i2 interface and have my headphones plugged into that. Cheers 👍

    Hello. Do you know how to create a set of green notes inside the piano roll, and then have a single key from a midi controller (i.e. Akai mpk mini keyboard) activate those notes? I could not find this information online anywhere. Thnx

    • @mixwithjerry
      @mixwithjerry  Před 3 lety +1

      You could assign it to a mixer track and render that to a wav file (arm the mixer track to record, then go to top left of mixer and select disk recording) or just export that specific pattern. Then bring that audio file back into your project and load it in a plugin called SliceX that comes with FL Studio. This plugin allows you to chop an audio file and assign it to a single note on the piano roll.

    • @The_JP251
      @The_JP251 Před 3 lety +1

      @@mixwithjerry Best answer(s).Thanks a lot. I appreciate it. I use Edison plugin or Audacity to chop wav files and then bring them back into single FL Studio channels in the sequencer when needed. I use FL 8 and FL 9 and am going to try the SliceX and the method you mentioned using the mixer. Thanks again =o)

    Great video! Can I ask you, would any of these settings have to do with my files having a glitch after I export them? Everything sounds great until I export it, then there are these temporary glitches I'm having.

    • @mixwithjerry
      @mixwithjerry  Před 2 lety +2

      If it’s in your exported file then it’s likely one of the 3rd party VST plugins causing an issue. Are you using anything not made by FL? If you are.. turn those plugins off and do a export to see if the glitches are still there. If they’re not then you will need to further troubleshoot which plugin it is that is causing it.

    • @artzbeatz8321
      @artzbeatz8321 Před 2 lety +1

      @@mixwithjerry Hey thanks for the response! Well I am using a few 3rd party plugins. The thing is my mp3's and wav's sound fine when once their exported out of FL. • @mixwithjerry
      @mixwithjerry  Před rokem

      Well there’s really so much that goes into getting a loud song and it all starts way before mastering or exporting. Gain staging, EQ, Compression, Saturation, Parallel Compression, Limiting are all things that will help you get there.

      Might be your computer specs.. if you have a lot of sounds and plugins loaded then your computer might not be able to process everything.. 16gb of ram will help and also I’d suggest having FL Studio installed on a separate disk than the disk you save all your files to so that your hard drive can focus on only running FL.
