Man that thing looks so sick! I have a soft spot for Elcos. My grandad had like 10 when I was a kid and one was my first car. But I’ve never been huge on how they look. But this one looks epic.

Same here bro I’m not a huge fan on the way they look but at the same time they’ll always look good to me just cause of the memories I’ll always have being 15 working on my first project car with my grandpa that he bought for me it’d been sitting for a while and every day after he’d gets off work we’d go out to shop every night during summer when Id go spend the s summers down there and do a little work on it together it’s a 1968 el Camino original matching numbers on everything and I’ll always remember the first time I heard it fire up it’s just a 327 with built heads and cam with long tube headers that went hooked up to the exhaust just hearing it fire up being insanely loud with the open headers inside his shop ever since then I’ve always been and will always be a car guy and always have that soft spot for el caminos lol

I'm beside myself with pride from seeing the Mullet driving down the highway. What started out as the craziest build I'd ever been a part of turned into the baddest radial car ever has been very rewarding.
On one hand I'm bummed I didn't get to finish what I had started...
but on the other it would have never gotten finished to this level without Kevin and KSR Performance.
I'm really happy for you to finally realize this dream.

Ok. Mullet passed me on I75 just north of Tampa yesterday. I started screaming "That's Mullet!!!" And my wife told me to shut up. Then in unison from the back seat both my daughters, 12 and 15, started screaming "Hell Yeah Brother!!". It was awesome!!!

I thought I mis-heard 'cool shirt' but had to look it up now. I had no idea such a thing existed ha. Do they have these on all the cars or just Mullet?
@@ibulleti7948 Just mullet. Kevin added it because he has a lot of experience with them in road racing, and since he already has the intercooler tank there's a very minimal weight penalty for adding it, basically the pump, the wiring and the tubing itself. The tank and water are already there so it's essentially free, from a weight perspective, and gives huge comfort for those long Race Week drives.
@@u-wot-n8 He should rig up a 12v refrigerator/freezer (they are the size of an ice chest) so that they have cold water for the long drives. They could toss it in the trailer when they run down the strip. It would also keep drinks and food cold for the travel between tracks. A couple more quick connectors and power cable would make it easy.
@@CGT80 what’s the point when there is a water tank in the back already and all you need to do to get cool water for your shirt is dump a bag of ice in the tank
A little creature comfort thing would be a arm rest that clips on/off the door bar and maybe a little flip down hook off the roof for the headsets.

Yet I think mullet is going to really show you what its made of. my best guess is that is will hit very low 7s on its first run out out. If anything it gets in the 6s. I am not sure what class they are going for. Though mullet is a 2000 HP car. Right now its well above 1500 Hp on the last dyno. There is no problem that it can not put out 1900 with easy as everything is rated for 2000.

Cleet's happiness is so infectious. I'm feeling so happy for him right now, which is kind of weird. Kevin is such a nice person, and so cool with all his knowledge and ability - overdrive fluid notwithstanding. Blimey! I didn't know that 'notwithstanding' is just one word. So here we are are a day out from seeing Mullet on the drag strip, and possibly the most anticipated videos Cleetus has ever put out. I'm hoping it is a sensational success, for both Cleetus and Kevin's sakes. They so deserve it.

I really appreciate Kevin’s attention to detail. Aligning the car is obviously very important, and Cleetus rarely does it, so I’m glad someone is there to do it.

This is exactly my problem with Cleet. Kevin built this thing a hood and bed cover, Cleet should make sure Mullet wears them both and with pride. He needs to not treat this car like Ruby and LeRoy. This is a true drag car, Kevin put a shit ton of work into making this car the best it can possibly be, Cleet needs to respect that. I love Cleet but he is ROUGH on his cars and Mullet needs to be treated like the work of art it is. If he thinks somethings wrong or thinks somethings on it’s last leg, then he needs to not just send it and rip this car to shreds or it’s gonna be a lot of headaches for Kevin

Though the cool shirts are awesome. Though I wonder why they do not have a single plug rather than 2 hoses. ( single plug meaning a main plug with 2 lines in it)
@@kameljoe21 Kevin should have setup a 12v ice chest in the bed for the long drives to keep the water to the shirts cold. It will cool food and drinks also. They can take it out when they race.

@@CGT80 Yeah you are exactly right. Those coolers are pretty pricey yet they will cool stuff faster than your normal freezer from some of the test I have seen. That is a super idea. I hope that he thinks of that and add a location and a hatch cover in the bed for that as well. Super idea and something the guys could not live with out.

I picked up an international 4900 shorty flatbed from an Ohio municipality and then drove 1300 miles back to Denver with no plate back in Oct.

This car is so beautiful. KEvin made a very mint work on this - everything so tidy. No cables hanging loose, the turbos are placed exact the same. He definitely works on another level. Even if you have to pay more and wait a couple of weeks but the resulsts are just mind blowing and worth it

Why would a bed cover matter? Only two states require a hood specifically, and it has mirrors. Turbos are considered a muffler in Texas at least, but Florida actually has very strict exhaust laws, surprisingly...
