  • The engine of this 2009 Ferrari F430 SC burned oil and made unusual sounds, so it needed to be disassembled for repair.
    Let's see how Cus Racing's mechanics perform engine repairs on this supercar.
    How do you see the workmanship of these mechanics?

    I've been working in a shop from scratch not knowing anything about cars and now I understand a lot about cars this is my 4th month and I think I'm doing ok. The funny part about cars is the fact the more you learn to more you realize you don't know. I've rebuild a couple of engines and run dozens of diagnostics here and there I understood how to change most parts of a car.

    Mechanics in the comments already know, but this video exemplifies why when you receive a “rebuilt” engine you have to completely tear it back down yourself to measure every single bearing clearance and check every single part to confirm it is actually ready to be run.

      @PatricioGarcia1973 Před rokem +6

      Who has time for that? Or who is going to pay for it? If I have to tear it down and build it back, I would just rebuild it myself. I buy rebuilt engines from Mercedes, BMW, Honda, and just as they come out of the box they go into the car.

      I am not saying I am correct, but it's an educated assumption.
      That being said, it may just be that particular engine builders method of assembly, because putting oil on a head gasket, I wouldn't say is typical, nor ethical. But also wouldn't say a thin layer of oil would hurt anything either.
