unbelievable . . why are they comparing this to iphones and samsungs.. .. tsk tsk .. it's a budget phone for budget people like me .. go use your iphones . . . ....
i think because even as a budget phone this one play with the big boys
The pocophone will get 4k 60fps support. The developers are working on it.
Yes! Can't wait for this
@@vvoy Without
And better SOT battery
@@marians6490 What the hell? Why do they bring 60fps but still don't mind stabilizing the video?
Video is the only thing that the Poco just fails in. 1080p looks like cheap HD and 4k is shaky as hell. I think they should invest the time into EIS or at least make Open Camera compatible with the Poco
@@JuliAn-qj2ld you are right.
I think the same
Fun fact.., in my country poco costs 1/6th of xs max..
U can buy 6 pocophones for the price of 1 xs max..lol
Here in Perú is 1/4th
Here in indian U can buy 7🤣
In serbia 1/3
@@orgrimdoomhammer2161 in morocco u can buy 3
In Romania you can buy 3 for the price of one XS Max simple, not golden or leather edition.
Hi there is no link for the Google Camera APK. Could you kindly put it here as you said in the video thanks
Dude you are allowed to smile in the selfie pics... good video!
Interesting because I've always received all my notifications. Just wasn't on the top of the phone at first. Now they flash for a few seconds at the top and then disappear with the Android Pie update. The white LED light at the bottom of the screen still flashes. I get a slide down notification image of the App that last a few seconds. Plus they're always on the notification shade that pulls down. 🤷♂️
This was a really great in depth video. The notification thing though, as someone who is trying to get away from being notified about everything, sounds like a solid plus, ha ha. Like I go through and turn off notifications for most apps, even turn off the little badges. I definitely feel like this is the best bang for buck smartphone, I've not been as happy with my phone and wallet at the same time, in a long time.
Is no link for the google camera there, can you give it to me plz..thx
awesome review, really. no-nonsense- keep it up. what's the golf game at 5:57?
is it possible that you've got the china version with google services installed? China roms usually don't have a notification system suitable for outside china.
The Pocophone doesn't have a Chinese variant, it is intended for the Indian region, thus gets global treatment.
I think his issue is MIUI not enabling notification features by default. I explained in another comment that this might unfortunately require setting them up app-by-app.
The notification problem was solved long ago XD
I have the poco and don't have a problem :u
I'm going for one plus 6t in 2 days correct me if I am wrong.....
How can you compare this to a iPhone?
I love the Pocophone even more than my note 9 and iPhone Xs Max. Surprising for me.
what
How come can you have both expensive phones? I can't even buy a One Plus 6 or 6T
@@guesswhothis I'm a computer and software engineer. Secondly I fix and sell them as well.
@@shamhosein770 ah i see then. Alright you work hard for that and I respect it. And wow both flagship phones you sure are getting some of that money. Haha let's get joke aside. So I really wanna get into PC gaming mind telling me how to build one?
I just realised you said Software Engineer god I am stupid sorry
Button notifications are an option, they're disabled in my phone, try checking your settings
Is it good for pubg ,any touch issue?🙄
@15:32 If resolution and pixel count matters, it is not the case. At 850 bucks, anything below full hd is a ripoff. BTW you did not specify why it is a better display.
You have not shared the link to gcam
You forgot to put the link to the Pixel camera apk in the description. I tried it from other sources, unfortunately it lags so hard it's unusable... So I'm wondering if your one is working just fine on Pie
I think there is an apk for the new update now but idk where you can download it
I've heard that the pocophone has the same camera sensor that the pixel 3 has (IMX363), so if you install Google camera wich you can do it now without root, maybe a video to try to showcase this idea of the google camera for the Pocophone?
Buying pocophone 2019 still have bug?
Would love a custom ROM vid even if you don't get 750
Good video mate
Linus Tech Tips has it.
Can you post the link for the gcam apk?
Please post the link for the gcam Apk you used.
better to buy now or wait to pocof2?
Where's the gcam link
is 64gb enough or should you save up more for the 128 variant?
Save up a bit and go for the 128gb. It will be worth it.
I heard you can get Notification fix by go to developer option and disable Miui optimization
keep in mind that it will reduce your battery life though
how does snapchat go in this?
Have you tried looking into the app info sections of each app and checking notifications?
MIUI by default disables all kinds of notifications for some reason. It's a bit of a PITA to set them up manually app-by-app, then channel-by-channel, but once set up, this issue should be gone. :)
Am a Redmi Note 5 user, and this phone is also of such a good value...
I really liked the b-roll, nice editing, nice review!
Yes, I have a Mi5 and after updating to MIUI 10 in September it seemed to have started turning off a lot of my app notifications which I realized just recently. And also once I have changed the app notification settings it seems to reset those after I update the app!
On the contrary, the notifications r enabled bt default
At the top app level yes, but not at the app specific feature level, and certainly not at "Battery Saver" level which can impact any "always needed" functions like notiications.
@@jim8149 this is quite acceptable if you are looking a phone solely for performance. Poco loses in durability tests as they say...bt a sturdy cover can cover this
@@bullymaguire9318 nonsense. You have been taken by the marketing hype. It's really durable as much as flagships of a few years ago built in poly carbonate.. Much more than glass.
Not getting all notifications is perfect for me😁 I hate phones which controls my life😊 If I want to know I check it by myself🤙👍
Why does no one talk about the Face ID on the pocophone, I have the phone and the face unlock is faster and picks up from a farther distance than the iphone xs max. It even unlocks so fast most of the time it doesn't even show my lock screen one of my favorite features.

You didn't talk about the ir face unlock
The Notification problem, or lack of, seems to be a problem with Chinese phones. I had the same issue on a Xiaomi phone and all the Huawei phones I’ve owned, most recently the Mate 20 X. It seems like there is a block on Apps in pushing out the notifications.
Notifications are a must for me, which is 1 of the reasons why I went back to my iPhone X.
Great vid.
No case?
Can I get the Gcam link please?
Pocophone = revolution in smartphone industry
it wasn't the first one though lenovo's zuk z2 (sd 820) was actually the first who launched a flagship grade chipset back in 2016 with similar prices
So true
Yo, is at the AV40s? I have the same studiophiles :3
Notification gang 🔥
I really dont know how you can get high numbers on geekbench's multicore. Even if I'm at a cold room and hard reset my phone, My max is still 8200+
Hardware lottery. You must have gotten a gimped chip.
Got 291.xxx Points on Antutu Benchmark. Latest Android and Miui on my Poco

@@patrickchrist4770 Me too.. my max at antutu is 295k. But my geekbench's multi core is lower than what the youtubers show.

I own note 6 pro and Poco both..... Personal Poco is too poor in color, shapness, video refresh rate spacially on CZcams... Note 6 pro is far better than Poco..... You can compare the same with any colorful motion video running symoiltaniasly on both the phone...
I actually pucrchased Poco for spacially for CZcams but it's really disconnected with Poco and enjoying CZcams on note 6 pro
Great video!
yep that lock screen notification need to be sorted out.

Is that a "screen bleeding"???
Dave Elzacky looks like it
Yes it seems there it is.
yes all units of poco f1 has some light bleeding at lower edge.
if you have one get it replaced.
@@akashpaul4925 after screen replacement problem will be solve or not
Like the Subaru as your monitor background!
I previously had a Lenovo P2 which I enjoyed using and would probably still have were it not for the fact that I dropped it and shattered the screen glass (the first time in over 5 years I've ever dropped a phone). Since replacement parts would be expensive in the UK relative to other phones, I figured I might as well just get a new one. I did some research - in a hurry since I'm going on holiday soon - and concluded that the Pocophone would give me the best value for money in terms of specs and overall performance.
I've only had it for several days, but my experience thus far has been overwhelmingly positive. There's a very minor amount of backlight bleed in one of the corners of the screen, but it's easily ignored. Most of the quirks or missing features don't bother me, what I want from a phone is the ability to call, send texts, browse the web and play games, and it does everything par excellence. Seriously, ingame FPS and overall responsiveness are incredible, it's like a breath of fresh air to me. Thus far I have none of the dreaded ghost touch issues, and if only it remains as it is now for the next few years (touch wood!) then it'll probably be the best phone I've owned.
Ur video is superb bro
big up anki overdrive
Why you don't smile in photos..?
where is the night mode and slow mo 960 fps?
Is on camera app from the latest update
i have been using mine for more than 2 weeks and fortunately I dont have any noticeable screen bleeding issues
What's so good about wireless charging???
cheap ;)
Yours have a screen bleeding problem!!!
"Putting it higher than the likes of the OnePlus6"...... I'm confused. I have an OP6 (6GB RAM, 64GB storage) and got a single core score of 2389 and a multicore score of 8940 on geekbench 4 (slightly higher than what you posted but pretty much identical). I've probably misunderstood something or am not comparing like for like.
Edit: just out of curiosity, how does the pocophone's vibrate motor compare to the OP6. For me the vibrate motor is the OP6's biggest issue essentially making that setting useless as you can't feel notifications in your pocket.
Set the intentsity in the settings for the vibration
@@pijussimkevicius6149 Assuming you're talking about the OP6, even on 'strong', it's not enough for me to feel it (might just be my phone but I have seen threads of others complaining). I can only feel the vibrations when holding the phone. The vibrations are more audible than tactile.
I usually just have my phone on either silent or ring (the latter I will hear in my pocket) as a result. I was just curious as to whether the pocophone was any different.
@@JonathanJimbo Well for me it's enough. I have no problems on my OP6
Poco too feel less in vibration ... especially it's vibe on pockets ..but I don't know abt one plus 6

@@nirofeat708 Specs aren't everything. A mid range SD600 series provides good performance with basically no lag. Numbers and stats aren't everything. Plus I'd rather go for a phone with a far nicer display and sacrifice a bit of performance because I don't play 3D games so that processing power is not needed
notifications will be sorted in 2 week next release works great in the beta which is rock solid
The huge chin and notch is a deal breaker for me. I'd rather have the Meizu 16th, but I don't know about its customer service

Look up gcam pocophone F1 and find the gcam APK, it's the pixel 3 camera app and makes the camera on this phone wayy better, the image processing blows the default out of the water
You shouldn't clear all, it consumes more battery
I find Notifications do work 100% but sad to see another review complaining about notifications on MUIU. Very few, if any reviewers are familiar or technical enough with MIUI to understand how to configure its notification granularity or levels. The fact is MIUI by default prioritizes battery life above all else, and you have to change the defaults at a system and application level ( even instance of the app for dual apps ) if you absolutely must have immediate notifications above all else at all times. I don't blame the average Joe to not know how to do it out of the box and maybe Xiaomi need to make the make it easier to reconfigure the base case for app notifications. For me, a seasoned MIUI user, I do know so I can have the best of both worlds.. only get the notifications that I want for the apps I want without impacting the battery life. The only thing is the notification icons next to the notch don't stay on for long, but they can only fit 3 or 4 anyway ( due to the wide notch ), so its not that useful even if they did stay "live". I am more than happy with the number bubbles next to the home screen app icon tbh to tell me.
Where is that gcam apk?

Just to add to the pro's: the face recognition ultra fast and accurate, even if you not facing properly the phone. Its works in darkness as well, cuz its uses an infrared module, not the selfie camera. Much more secure, accurate and way faster. As a little trick, u need to set your region to India to be able to use this function. I love this function, dont miss it out.
The notification issue is from the android 9. It doesn't concern the phone
under 300 $ what can we ask for

My Galaxy s8 wouldn't even work properly with Bluetooth for my car stereo, random disconnects and I dropped the fker once and the screen exploded.... Poco just works. In my opinion it's pretty spot on for the price point.

Those screen are what kept me from this phone. I can get mi 8 at the same price and it got amoled. I'm a headphone user, but bought a $15 bluetooth one that i like. it's so convenient. I get it for the price $15 for the sound I'm getting is kinda bad, but i prefer this over a $15 cable earphones.
