The great thing about Deku is that this is him at his absolute lowest (putting too much responsibility on himself, always on high alert, feeling guilty about what happened in the battle with Shigaraki, seeing himself as a danger to his loved ones, etc.). BUT he still continues to be a kind person. His sense of heroism never falters and itâs a part of him that he never loses.
I think that honestly makes him one of the true heroes of this day and age.
So many heroes, well-written or not, end up becoming evil because they were pushed over the edge. But Deku here is constantly being pushed to the bring of mental breakdown and possible insanity and he still manages to be a hero, and I think that's one of the most admirable things about him.

I like how gentle Deku sounds. Heâs got All Mightâs power, but heâs a very different kind of hero; the one his times needs.
This reminds me of Spider-Man and I know he was inspired by Spider-Man with deku but itâs the gentler side to there being a hero trying to make people smile that really make me live these characters

Yeah, the difference between the two is that All Might shows his kindness through his friendly and courageous looking demeanor, often smiling in the face of danger in a, âwhat you see is what you getâ, kind of presence. While Deku shows his kindness in more of an individual level, where he ether encourages the people he wants to help or talks about how much heâs willing to sacrifice his life for them, always saying these things in such a serious tone in a, âyou mean the world to me, I will do everything in my power to save youâ, kind of way.
Even with all the trauma heâs gone through, Dekuâs spirit hasnât diminished at all. Heâs definitely a true hero

FACTS
This isn't edgy, far the opposite. He is sacrificing himself in a way because the world was launched into Chaos because of shigaraki. And if he's a target, he won't be allowed to do anything. But since the duty of the next OFA, he has to do the right thing, and that was to save everyone he could. It isn't edgy, it's selflessness.

@@setsuna200 No he has a provisional license. He's pretty much a pro minus that he can't do hero work on his own initiative legally, but he's not breaking the law as far as I know as he is working under pro heroes as bait.

Absolutely not. Neither are the strongest respectively. Deku is superman and lost his Spidey cred with all these quirks
Even with everything that's happened to him, and his borderline self-destructive mission that he prioritizes, Deku still goes out of his way to help a scared person. He doesn't even fight the people attacking her, he tries to diffuse the situation as calmly and peacefully as possible.
That is a true hero right there.

Horikoshi gets that citizens putting the law into their own hands, becoming vigilantes, isn't always a good idea. For example, some will start attacking someone based on their own personal biases. I can also see the Horikoshi is a huge Marvel fan. Getting all X-Men up in here...

All Might chose his successor perfectly. Deku was weak all his life, and it helped to shape his view of the world and how it treats the weak and helpless. He truly is the hero that the world needed.

That's mostly because he looks like an official hero, villain or vigilante, his attitude showing yes a hero. That means he's trained and considering his age the best they can hope for is 1B and they would still be screwed

Deku is really one of a kind. Thats one of his biggest strengths. He's never quick to judge anyone.
This is why deku is my favorite anime character. Even when heâs suffering inside, he still has a pure and kind heart. Heâs so willing to help others that he forgets to even care for himself. Incredible!

So many characters, when going through their âdarkâ arc, lose sight of who they are. They get a hard edge, they start crossing lines they shouldnât, etc. But Vigilante Deku is the exact culmination of everything he already was. Itâs proving true his very conception of being a hero. His only fault is that heâs not taking care of himself, and even that is also who heâs always been. Of course the guy who would sacrifice his limbs early on would also sacrifice his mental and emotional health. And just like with his limbs, in the moment heâs probably correct to make the sacrifice, but it isnât sustainable long term.

This is why I love him, despite crisis after crisis, him not even having the time to taking care of himself, and so much more burdens on his shoulders, he makes sure that anyone he sees in need of help is okay and at the least knows heâs gonna make it better â€ïž

what I love about this is that despite everything Deku has been through, he will always selflessly help those in need or know what is right or wrong. Deku truly knows what it means to be a hero.

To be fair, they aren't "allowed" to, and everyone in the setting already has an inbuilt genetic weapon in the form of a quirk- even if their effectiveness varies. It's just that the government has failed to uphold it's end of the social bargain the government itself put into place, and can't even keep the villains in check anymore- how are they going to crack down on normal citizens too?

All-might is a symbol of "peace" while Izuku is a symbol of "kindness" because no matter what anyone does to Izuku himself, he never hates or pities anyone for any reason, He sees the good in others & sees a chance for them to be a better person than they are right now.
Izuku chooses to *FORGIVE* even if he can never forget it or get over it, because Izuku will *ALWAYS* be selfless.

This just reinforce the very truth. True heroes can only reveal itself in times of hardships and despair. In peaceful times even if there are 'heroes' running around, it's hard or if not impossible at times that Real True Heroes can be seen. Their time to shine are always more noticeable in a world in darkness such as what's happening now in MHA.

I really want to see more from this polymorph lady character. I don't know what it is just something about the design of the character and the personality is really unique and I honestly think the character is adorable. It's not a feeling that I really get from characters very much. It's like the gentle giant feeling you get from whales and elephants. You just look at them and despite their size you know how sweet and innocent they are...

That was my first thought when I saw her manga debut. If not for the ears, she would have definitely looked like a shark.
I thought so too, but in the manga, she's drawn in a way that you can see she has fur.
