this came out incredible!! I too made my dress before I saw the movie and didn't realize it actually sparkled just from the trailer shots so I sewed it with just plain tulle, the red glitter glue is genius to fix that!
I have been struggling with the mesh fabric and how to place it, as well with the base of this dress. This really helps! That’s so much! I now have motivation to work on this dress again 😁

So for the ruffles I can just layer them right? Asking since I have my own Harley design with a dress that layers it's ruffles and I'm not sure on how to really do it yet I'm in my 2nd half of 1st year in job school

They could have had her find the original outfit and change while escaping but I think it flowed better with her making do with the dress. Still though there was a point where all the others changed from their civilian clothes into their original outfits for the final fight, they could have maybe done the same but then there’s the question of how she got it back.
It’s an absolute joy seeing you create the costume and make up and then totally and joyfully become the character!
You did any amazing job with Harley’s dress. Love the ruffling and the glitter glue application was a neat technique. ♦️♠️

How do you know the black dark wash paint will not completely ruin the colour? Do you test first or have done previously?
I do this all the time, so I'm really use to it! But I would definitely recommend testing it in scrap fabric first!
