The neighbors' cameras, just like the library's and the police station's, amazingly weren't working that day, or at that time.
Because none was seized by the state to present as evidence in this trial against Karen.
My favorite from day 14, of Lally’s continuous irrelevant questions: “So they dated before they got married?”
And the judge talks about not wasting the jury’s time!
She wants to know more about youth basketball and whether they have live music at the Waterfall Bar & Grille.
He’s also said to people “so you woke up sometime that morning”?
Yeah, KR has 2 slick lawyers from LA and their whole team trying to keep her from being convicted, but Lally is supposed to find justice for JOK practically allone? I wonder why the state doesn't have another lawyer helping Lally?

This judge is extremely unprofessional, with her continuous sighing and paper slamming on her desk. Hope the jury is picking up on that and feels as disgusted as some of us do. She's probably upset that the defense is proving their case. Wtf is her problem.
I think she has the same mentality as the “mainstream media” and sees her role as maintaining a perfect balance between the two sides, regardless of whether one of them is advancing a theory of the case that defies the laws of physics.

Being from the area, I believe she is blatantly bias for the prosecution. Brian’s younger brother and Colin’s father, back in the 90’s, hit, killed and left the scene while driving drunk and “Auntie Bev” ( as the Alberts call her) lawyer brother defended Chris and the Alberts rent her Cape house every summer. So yes, this is probably why.

Why did Matt McCabe need to remind the group to “tell them the GUY never came in”…. I don’t need to remind my friends what they ate for dinner. They were there, they know what they ate already. I’m not saying Karen didn’t accidentally hit JO, I haven’t seen enough evidence for that conclusion yet. I don't know how things are done up north, but MY husband would have insisted I stay home where I would be safe and HE would have been the one to go out in blizzard type elements to find his friend. He would never be okay with me taking the risk. Matt comes off with car salesman vibes. He was just glad he didn't have to go out.

Well, he isn't concerned about safety at all since he testified to having about 5 vodka drinks at the bar, then went to the house party, which I guarantee he drank even more and then drove them all home, while remembering a comment about a sandwich, which miraculously more than one of them remembers making a comment about said sandwich.
He seems very defensive for an innocent person. Innocent meaning not being involved in the cover-up of a murder.
We drive in blizzards in New England. This is why we all have SUV’s with all wheel or 4 wheel drive. If you live here, you know how to drive in the snow.

From watching the testimony, to me it sounded like he was trying to tell them to make sure that the media understood the fact that "the guy didn't even go in the house,". since the media didn't know JOK. That that was the important part for everyone to understand.
Judge Bev keeps apologizing to the jury for how much time some of the testimonies are taking which is a huge appellate red flag, keeps restricting the defense and telling them to move on, If I'm on the jury, don't fricken mind, into the High Profile nature of the case, 15 days so far of mystery fame, want to see justice and want to hear answers

If she knew karen had a dark suv and saw an suv outside why wouldn't they go outside to check and be like "hey we're here you're at the right house"

In other courts if a attorney objects they have to give a reason for the objection on the record . But yhis Judge just sustains Objections without hearing the reason or rule of court for the objection. Why? Thats not normal . Any lawyer here to explain?
A lawyer on another chanel explained its because she doesn't want 'speaking' onjections so she is guessing what the objection is and deciding herself if it should be sustained. Could cause issues if there is an appeal because she may have wrong reason for sustaining etc

OR maybe Karen Read was drinking a lot of vodka that night, which might have mixed with her MS meds and made her blackout drunk and if she was angry because they were fighting, and he got out to go in and she slammed it into reverse and ran him over knocking his shoe and hat off. He might have turned back to look at her right before he was hit and walk back toward her and slipped and then he could have gone under the car when he was lifting his head up it could have hit him in the head and his arm could have been scratched by something underneath the car

the missing shoe is damning evidence against the prosecution IMO.. it means the shoe must have been inside the house or somewhere on the property (like the backyard) and the Alberts/Higgins got rid of it. How else does the prosecution explain a missing shoe if he was hit by Karen?

My opinion is this: Karen backed up and hit him and had no clue that she did. Keep in mind that when they took her by ambulance around 7am, they drew her blood and it was a .07. That’s wicked high for seven hours after the fact. I think she did it, had no idea that she did, guessed that she did when he was found at the last place she saw him (hence the “did I kill him” comment) and then is using this story to clear herself. I truly believe that she thought he walked in the house- there were a bunch of people going in and out at that time. She was drunk and maybe she mistook someone going in for John? That video of her at the scene the next morning is NOT the reaction of an intentional murderer. She was literally the definition of “running around like a chicken with its head cut off”. She was hysterical and in complete shock. That was not fake. She was gutted, grief stricken and completely blindsided when she found him.
If I were a juror there would be NO WAY I could find her guilty of murder in the 2nd degree. Intentionally hitting him to kill him and then leaving him to die?? No way. If they had gone for vehicular manslaughter they’d have a much easier chance of getting a guilty verdict. I really can’t believe that anyone would find her guilty at the 2nd degree level after watching the videos at the scene.
Also, it is completely implausible that someone would intentionally try to kill their partner and then leave two horrible voicemails on their phone just minutes later, saying how much they hated their partner. I think they completely release her from any intentional death…she would have to be a legit sociopath with extreme psychopathy in order to manipulate the event like that. I don’t see a sociopath or psychopath on trial. Nothing in her past alludes to anything sinister or evil.
I don’t think John ever went in the house. I did at first but Matt McCabe, in my opinion, was completely believable as was his daughter, the one who came to pick up Colin and drive him home.

So all of them that expected John to come back to the house- gave him directions, text him, saw Karen pull up, but never called or text him to see why he didn’t come in? That makes no sense. They would have text asking where he was. He obviously went in.
Jen opined that they might have had a fight. No one would have imagined what happened.

At 5:59:05 she says when they got to John’s house, Karen shows them the tail light. Then at 6:12:34 Lally plays the security video of them arriving and going into John’s house and that does not happen. Can’t keep the lies straight.

People who have genuinely gotten emotional during this trial while talking about John have been his brother and a couple of his friends. It was not over the top, out loud crying and yet the pain was there for everyone to see. On the other hand, Jen resorts to this crying drama wanting to show how sad she is about John's passing. Nobody is believing that.

Let alone driving in blizzard conditions w/o a taillight!! Driving in the blizzard is dangerous as it is and something you only want to be doing only if you have to. But if you know one of your taillights or headlights is out, you’re really not going to want to go out or want to go in another vehicle.

I’m still waiting for car collision analysis, forensic evidence, cell phone records etc, then maybe we’ll finally get to the purpose of this trial. So far just a bunch of people with inconsistencies and contradictory statements.

When Jen and Kerry and Karen went to John's house at 5 am. to search for him. They noticed that the bed was made. Contradictory to Karen's statement that she woke up and John wasn't there. When Brian and Jen came down stairs the police, brought in with Jen were there and questioned them.
Karen already said she laid down on the couch, and was waiting for John. Jen’s Apple Watch didn’t get her going up any steps to check the bedroom. Jen even lied about Karen showing them the taillight when they got to John’s house. I blatant lie according to the video they showed just 10 minutes after she said that.

Funny, the 3 people who arrived a few minutes after karen, saw the intact tail light and karen waiting for john alone, no jeep eithere. These 3vpeople had no ties to these families.
