  • Today, we are going to compare 2 of the smallest Wired Outdoor WIFI cameras. We have the newly released Eufy Outdoor Cam Pro which Eufy also recently changed the name to eufy Security Solo OutdoorCam C24 and I'm not sure why they made it more confusing...and we will compare it to the Wyze Cam V3. We will compare its features, video and audio quality and do some testing and see if one or both of them can be a good option for your home security needs.

    They are both nice cameras, but the Eufy is so much better! Would love to see a comparison between the Eufy Cam Pro and the Reolink lumus. Camera tech is reaching a point where the differences are small, but now the manufacturers are trying to out do the other with additional features. 4k is just around the corner for these small cameras. I have 3 Wyze v3 cams and one of my biggest gripes is with the app. I use the motion alerts to narrow done the time of an event then go back and check the playback from the sd card. Wyze doesn’t give you any control as far as playback speed so you can play at 2x or 5x to scan through footage. Using the time stamps from clips works but what a pain. Well I have star link internet. Then outside my house I have a tp link repeater, then 200 feet away, I have another repeater that has dual band Mimo. I have tried Toucan cameras, they all connected but did not have good pir sensors and the record time was too low. I am now trying out a Lorex l222a81-6-cm-e system. It's much better I can almost go any where on my 1.5 acre property and the cameras work. Picture quality is not quite as good as I'd like and the batteries drain fast one needs to be charged and it's only been a week.(high traffic area) I expected much better picture quality for 879$, but the system came with 6 cameras. A big let down also is that the spot light only works for about 10 seconds. I was thinking I'd be able to walk around at night and use the spot lights to light up my property. There has to be something out there that won't break the bank but still get a good picture quality with good details, and good triggering.

      @@djogoku1 If you're able to format with the camera then your Wyzecam is already recognizing the sdcard and the file system. The original question states that their Wyzecam does not recognize any sdcards which they've purchased. So what I'm saying is if your Wyzecam doesn't recognize your sdcard, then yes, you should put it in a pc or linux device and format the card to FAT32. I believe Windows 10 no longer gives FAT32 as an option, so you would need a program such as MiniTool Partition Wizard or similar in order to do this.

    I have 2 of the Wyse v3 cams and they are decent cameras for the money. The firmware upgrades are useless though. The Wyse community has similar tales of worthless zoning. Wyse is def to its customers begging for resolution in their own web pages. I think I'll get the Eufy ones next thanks.

    I'm still confused about the Wyze Cam v3 cooldown period of 5 minutes - if you are recording to SD Card and not have cloud subscription, does the camera record all events to SD card or only events that happen 5 minutes apart from each other? Or is the cooldown period just for notifications?

    • @LifeHackster
      @LifeHackster  Před 3 lety +2

      The cool down is just for notifications. All motion events or 24/7 footage are recorded in the microSD card.

    I purchased four Wyze eary v3 cameras in late 2017 for $20.00. I had to see if they were even real at that price of four for twenty US dollars. I was very impressed but being a Windows PC user; I Could Not use them on anything except my iPhone and iPad. I also purchased a pan cam a few months later and then joined the Wyze beta tester group the pancam operates really well on all settings as do two other v3 cams. I still have one v3 cam in an unopened box. I also have an unopened box of the first Wyze Remote home automation device???
    I have not used because of no Windows program. The Wyze cameras are good but the other one in your video probably would be my choice due to the quick notification.😊. Good video.

    Wyze Cam has the starlight sensor for color in low light and it looks better then any other security camera when there is very little light. Seems you did not turn that feature on. If the Eufy had the starlight sensor then it would have been the clear winner.

    • @LifeHackster
      @LifeHackster  Před 3 lety +1

      The starlight sensor is always ON. You saw it several times in the night footage. What I didn’t do is compare it to the eufy without the spotlight ON which is not practical because if you buy the eufy you will always set the spotlight to turn ON when it senses motion.
