I think she is telling stories as opposed to conveying a message. She’s not trying to sway you one way or another. All of the songs are just from different perspectives of women of different situations/ walks of life. That’s how songs like Price Tags and Put it down can coexist. Could you imagine if every song had the same perspective? Love your videos, btw.
The Album Is Her Telling The Stories Of Different Women, Hence The Title And Why Before Every Song There Is A Tale To Give You That Connection. The Other Side Is Not A Miss,It's The About Being Tired Of Being Broke,The Girl Is Tired And Wants The Luxuries Of Life That She Sees Other Girls Enjoying On IG All These Baddies. The Album Is From A Woman's Perspective And Is Just Immaculate

Women** not “females” but anyway. Women are allowed to do whatever they want with their bodies after a relationship ended. It doesn’t matter. I feel like y’all missed the message and point of this EP completely. Some people like material things from their partner because it’s their love language.
Also, there’s a lot of deflecting and finger pointing going on in between the songs. One sided and close minded point of views don’t pair well with this EP lol
idk if you noticed the pattern but the messages of the songs are based off of the tales preceding the songs.. she’s giving different/a variety of stories.
Also, sex work is the same as real work. The working people sell their bodies (aka labor) to the capitalists in the same way sex workers sell their bodies. There is nothing wrong with a human wanting to make money by having sex since there are the same working class laboring in fields and factories just to be exploited and paid lower than minimum wage. Nothing is different, but patriarchy brings shame to one side of this work over the other because some genders are shamed over their lack of “purity” over others.

I'm glad y'all did this! I knew it would spark some good conversation. I'm low-key bummed y'all didn't like "The Other Side" though. Listen again but think of it more as 'social commentary'. She's writing about how nowadays some people work but can't get out of their struggle, so they dream of getting out the way they see other people getting out "move to Atlanta" "marry a rapper" "be a housewife" "have babies by a surrogate" etc. that's life on 'the other side'.

This was totally a 100 out of a 10!!! I greatly appreciated y'all reaction. This was a body of work! Even with all the performances she's given us, the album with the Tales included gives the songs more of a context. But it's when you listen to the whole entire album that you realize that these tales are interchangeable. Even the goldiggers started out just loving a man, then our hearts get trampled on, our feelings get hurt, we become insecure and jaded. Then we switch up on these niggas. They don't value us as we are so we set our own worth. No longer the heart on our sleeve type. At least that was my perspective on the album.
