The difference is so subtle. But 13 pro is way more value for money and so is the case with 13 as compared to 14. In India 13 pro and 13 can be bought for approximately 92k and 52-55k respectively as compared to 14 pro (130k) and 14 (80k).
What people seems to be missing is the fact that if you compare both phones on the official Apple site, if you go to the processor it says the 14 has the NEW A16 chip whereas the 13 has the A15 and you could say that the A16 is way better but no, both chips are the same cuz they both have the same specs so that’s why they both perform exactly, so in theory if you buy the 14 pro you only get 4 new things: dynamic island, 48P camera, improved battery and a more bright screen (which to me doesn’t seem worth it at all mainly cuz I don’t use the cameras and ironically that’s where the main improvement is, not going to say anything about battery life cuz I don’t spend all day on the phone so I never have battery issues cuz it lasts me about a day, so maybe iPhone 15 would REALLY stand out with NEW features). Of course this is from my perspective but I feel like it is this way for some.
Same specs💀? Your just looking at core counts the same core counts doesn’t mean the same specs. The 14 pro gets the newer 4 nanometer process allowing it to sustain performance and have longer battery life. And that means their able to pack 16 billion transistors into it 1 billion more than the older 13 pro. And by the way you also get more features on 14 pro like always on display car crash detection and emergency sos. What you’ve commented here seems ignorant to information.

It's because there no need to update the app api to be compatible with a16, the a16 is backwards compatible with all the one before it. apples chips have gotten so stupidly fast that no normal use app is going to make it sweat. There's no need to try and make the apps faster.
