If you were aparrently so in tune with their discography, you would realize that Psycho isn't a departure for them at all.

@@jacintareicandor5812 they both are but as you can see Wendy had a very strong and well developed head voice despite having a vocal nodules. Well if your using your head voice more your using your throat less wich is the technique Wendy is using to not irritating her nodules which could be verry painful for a singer. Seulgi is using her headvoice and falseto but due to her excessive practice in the past she said that she couse damage to her voice . It's becomes more nasally which it fits in the song. Adding to that mysterious vibe.
I love watching your growth from metalheads who knew nothing about kpop to being metalheads who are genuine kpop fans, because I relate exactly lol. Pretty strictly metal until I got into kpop.

that was my thinking till I talked to a classmate in my year who loved linkin park and Justin Bieber and I was like yeah why can't I like both, I dont listen to either of them but that has helped me keep my genres and music tastes open cause you never know where the gems are.

Sky Min same, growing up i mostly listened to pop/punk/alt rock, post-hardcore, and metal. i avoided kpop in highschool because i didn’t get what the hype was all about. I couldn’t wrap my head around it when i saw a dancing boy group that had more than ten members (my friend showed me EXO lol). I went to college and got into pop and edm. I got curious so listened to kpop, which i thought was a fusion of the two. Then i just got hooked and discovered a variety of concepts and genres. I definitely missed out.

Welcome back, glad you returned with Red Velvet's Psycho. The song is the group at its best, its just sad that Wendy was injured preventing us from seeing the five perform it live.
Breakdown and bridge part are always unique when it comes to SM Entertainment songs. I noticed that from EXO, SHINEE, Suju, NCT and RV
Edit: TVXQ as well. I don't know abt SNSD. I haven't listened to their songs yet

Nope, the song in the physical album version is totally same with the MV version
The radio version has no bg synth. Reason: for easier to listen.

I would like to recommend you a young and talented China Singer. Hua Chenyu is one of the current top Chinese Singer in China Mainland. He participated in many singing programme， Singer 2018 has allowed him to showcase his capabilities because he has proven his creativity and abilities in rearranging and composing of songs. The wonderful part of him is he sing very well too. Please do reaction videos “Nunchucks” in Singer 2018.

During the filming of TV program "Singer" in 2018, "Hua Chenyu" has spent 48 hours to make an adaptation of the song .
He put in multi musical elements like vocal, rap, chinese tradional opera & rock. His stage performance was awesome & also amazing. You would never regret.
