Catching panfish on an ultralight rod has become favorite way to fish. I find myself doing more ultralight fishing than bass fishing the past couple of years. I work from home so I am in the house most of the week. I am fortunate to have a couple of ponds in my development that have a lot of bream, shell cracker and bass so I can walk down to one of the ponds after work or after dinner and fish for an hour or two and it's a great way to get outside, get some fresh air and sunshine and forget about life for a while. I once heard Randy from the Trout Magnet Man CZcams channel say about ultralight panfishing, "Anyone who says they don't like this kind of fishing, there's something seriously wrong with them." I agree, it is so much fun and great for kids to learn how to fish. God bless and thank you for your videos!!

I live in the sticks, but my friend lives in the city. He has a few lakes out there and even a river, but none of those spots have any fish that you want to eat. Lots of pollution. However, there are some nice sized bass in there! Once I get him out my way, we plan on doing a catch and cook of some bream. Good video!

I have to agree with you, bream fishing is a lot of fun. I started out bream fishing as a kid, moved to bass fishing, then to tournament bass fishing. To each his own, but for me bass fishing is no longer fun. Last year I dabbled with bream fishing, had a great time. This year, I've pulled all of my bass fishing tackle out of my boat. I'm solely going bream fishing with light and ultra- light lures with crickets and meal worms in the rotation. Thank you for this video, I'm now a subscriber.

Great content John- nothing wrong with panfishing, I don't pan fish as often as I do Bass fish, but when I do I enjoy it none the less
