To anyone who has more then one level in their game, if you promote the level name to a variable and then make it public, you can change what level you go to next every time you use the actor. It's under the "default" section in the "details" tab. Hope this helps 🙂
We have to change the name default by "public" ? Or it's a case to activate? Because when a wrote public in default I see any difference
No. The variable has an eye icon next to it once you create it. Click the eye icon to make it "visible" or public. Means the same thing. There is nothing you have to write. Just promote the level name to a variable

I mean when you use the "open level" function unreal automatically will close the other level to free up resources?

thank you for the tutorial, do you have a tutorial for archviz like a building then highlights on the floor area, then once the client clicks, it goes into another level which is an interior.

You should pause at least +1 seconds when you click on field. And maybe highlight the field with a circle overlay.
Also maybe add a quick static slide showing the steps for adding things like the "fade to next level"
Example,
1)Add Fade,
2)Set Alpha to 0,
3)Set Alpha to Default
4) etc...
Pausing a few seconds to Do a cursory "verbal" overview of what your about to do BEFORE doing it.

Could you make a tutorial on "doors passing between levels" for an RPG game except the game will spawn you outside the door you've just left so that it acts like real doors between levels, so that you can transition between levels, please?

Guess you just could add a door on the second level and rotate it like the one you left, and then put a player spawn close to the door

I recently started to get to know UE5.2, my problem is that it spawns the character randomly between the levels, if there are several spon points. they didn't work in UE5.
So, no matter how hard I try to follow your tutorials, they always seem to fall short. I can get them to kinda work, but there's always something not quite right

I have a game project that uses both third and first person views which the user can swap between using the "p" key on the keyboard. Does this tutorial only work for Third Person View only or can it work for both 1st and 3rd person views?

Im using the standart VRPawn, i have set the world settings to standart VR game. My project has many levels and i have put PlayerStart in a position inside a level, although whenever i play the project and a new level is opened through interactions, the player is not placed where i placed the player start. What is the problem?
Hello, how to spawn at a spicific place in the new level? Is it possible to determine more than one place inside a map to spawn? F.e. player start 1 and 2 and 3 ? I want a direct tunnel between two doors from lvl1 to lvl2 But when I have more doors in lvl2 I want to spawn in front of the correct door.
Nice Video, now how would you make a system like this modular? I know we may have 30 different levels and instead of having 30 different blueprints, you can just create a system where the blueprint can have a dropdown and was curious how that system would be set up
You can simply promote to variable the "Level Name" field of the "Open Level" and make it public. This way you are able to define the level name for each instance of the blueprint

i tried to export my game but it was unable to load other levels, instead the game shuts down. I also tried the load stream level node instead of Open level and packaged all of the maps and yet still not working. Is there a way to fix it?

I have an issue where when I open a level with AI they stop working. But if I load it straight from the level they work fine (it’s not navmesh)

Make the door collision trigger the trigger box so that when the door opens into it, the player transports levels 🎉
