Not sure how architecture entered my CZcams algorithm but I’m sold. Casually learning about architecture through your videos is now part of my weekly schedule! Subscribed~
Right!? Same here!
Make sure to also watch videos which cover the negatives of the profession
😂😂 you just described my exact state.
Same dude
same
Watched this in my first year of architecture and now about to graduate it has never failed to inspire me to sit down at my table to start designing. Despite all the stress from job hunting, comparing myself to other designer, my vision for architecture as a career, watching you talk through the design process really has made me realise why did I start and how much I love architecture
Hopefully any architecture student see this comment can stay strong, keep calm and all the best luck to all of you out there
Is this video a repost of a previous video?
@@Shyknit I was thinking the same lol, Im in a 5 year program and most programs around the nation and probably the world are around that range. So it was strange to read this comment with this video only being over a year old.
@@salvadorarellano900 yeah mine was a 5 year program too lol I still wanna know, maybe it's an updated version of a previous vid
Fake comment? Hahahah
Thank you
Congrats and thanks for a clear and concise explanation of the design process...often a lot is taken for granted when one sees a 'finished model', especially in the context of an open competition. I hope you and your partners continue the journey of 'becoming' in the best possible way.
as a kid, I was fascinated by modern architecture especially of large skyscrapers. I designed buildings in sketchup from the moment I could get my hands on a computer ever since I was like 8. Im looking to get back into it as a hobby again after a long time. Nice video
I recently came across your videos and started watching it. I'm a rising second year in School of Architecture, and your video is very helpful! THank you!
What the- I swear she's getting too powerful, it was literally impossible for me to tell that I was watching an advertisement take place, I just thought it was a regular part of the video like oh yeah that's kinda cool! I didn't have a clue that this video was sponsored and honestly I really like how seamless the transition truly was. Love the work you guys do for this channel as I bet it is a ton of hard work! I'm not even super interested in BEING an architect but a lot of the ideas and processes involved could certainly help me in my major of Game Design! Thank you
my career path is so far from architecture but I JUST LOVE THE WAY SHE TALKSSSS!!! like the way her mouth moves, her voice, and NOW im really interested in these kinda of videosss!!
Hi, just wanted to say that your channel is a gem for those of us who are just really curious about architecture and urban planning. Thank you so much for uploading such well crafted and informative videos !
I was looking for architects who share some life experiments on youtube. But there aren't anybody better than you. Thanks for the content😄 wishing all the best
as a current 3rd year civil engineering student while having an architectural practice, this helps a lot. never regret to stumble upon this channel and subscribe to it.
I'm a architecture student in Brazil, I love you videos, I learning a lot. Thank you!
Wow these kinds of videos are so amazing! I have always wanted to know how architects design homes and this one really explains everything. So thank youu.
Going into my second year of my B.S. in Architecture and I'll be taking a class on architectonic systems, so this was very insightful!
love how well established this video was made. you did great showing and explaining.
Your quick hand drawn diagrams are really good.
Felicidades Colega! Soy de habla hispana y te agradezco muchisimo por tu explicacion muy acertada ya que no se necesita hablar ingles para entender tu mensaje!
Dami, I like your videos!… I once heard Chris Do from ‘the Futur ‘ group speak about people wanting to be consistent through out their life and I believe you are consistent in all aspects of your life from what I have seen in your works, starting from your educational and practicing journey, to your desire to deliver high standard contents in all your social media platforms, I hope you enjoy making this contents as much as we enjoy devouring them! …
This is your viewer from Ethiopia, Addis Ababa by the way😅
start to finish in 11 minutes ! WOW. Great video Dami.
Love your content. Just showed up in my recommended and I love the way you speak. You are clear and confident and I connect with your word choice and pauses 💯
Thanks 🙏
Great video Dami. I'm also a lover of automating in Revit. I just created a room schedule that calculates glass area automatically. Pretty slick 😊
i really appreciate this !! i'm a first year student and we're doing our first comprehensive design so i'm trying to prepare
You have been very passionate with your work. Great for you and keep it going.
I like your vibe and your professionalism. Thanks so much for these videos!
Thanks 😊 and my pleasure!
@@DamiLeeArch 👍👍👍 YOUR A PRO.!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Honestly the best channel for Architecture students right now.
I would love all the materials used to design a building like that to set up a display of the whole process. All iterations of sketches, designs, renders, everything from start to finish. I think that'd be neat to hang on / take up an entire wall (bonus points for being the process of designing the building it's placed in).
I've been living in US since 2017 as an immigrant. I had to figure out what to do because I can't continue my study which was classical vocal in here US. Very enlightening.
Thank you.🙌🏽
I love watching Dami's show because I love watching her body language as much as I enjoy her vocabulary; her "rhetoric" says a lot about her in how she explains form and function.
Very nice content Ms. Dami, looking forward for more of your ideas in the field of Architecture, learning a lot from you
I love the colours and tones of your videos ❤
I've been waiting for this kind of video for a while!
Yeehaw, finally your other vids allways hyped me up for this

Just got into architecture school today, Supper excited. Scared but excited hope I don't actually completely suck at it haha.
howd that turn out for you?
Loving the vids, keep it up!
This vid makes it so easy to understand! Are you usually provided with site layouts for Revit already when starting a project?
Omg no way! I am interested in architecture and I want to live in Vancouver, BC, what a coincidence I found you. I AM A NEW SUBSCRIBER!
Amazing that you’re sharing that
This video saved my sunday !
Hi Dami, nice video working on one of my home designs myself, first real world project so passing by to see what people opinion of the subject. Nice video🤔
Terrific overview, Dami! May I ask how you do your physical 3D models? Do you make these by hand or is there a service that you use?
Hey there. This is so helpful, Would be very interested in a video detailing the massing/diagraming process.
I'm a first year architecture student and I'm really struggling with creativity. When I look at other people's projects, so innovative, so clean and beautiful I feel architecture wasn't meant for me. Even though I enjoy everything about it, I just can't come up with new ideas and therefore I don't know what could I possibly offer to this field. As a result I'm slowly slowly losing motivation. I'd appreciate a piece of advice! ❤️
Well, I can relate to this. My first year (or even 2nd year) in architecture, I also lost motivation for 5 months. But I always go search some architecture videos on youtube or any videos that I want my architecture style to be ( particularly Japanese) because it brings me back to why did I pursue this course in the first place. It gives me purpose to move forward. Just give it time and you will get back your motivation slowly. Cheers to us, future architects 🤗
Idk if I can help much I know little to nothing about this field, but I do know that creativity sort of just comes to you. I’m not saying this to discourage you at all, but it’s a state of mind that gets nurtured, till the point it can be easily retrieved. I think you have creativity within you, you just need that spark to start it going. Don’t force it and don’t look for it, just be calm and look at projects in its wholeness. Even outside of work, practise moving things around and thinking “differently” it’ll come man, don’t compare yourself to others, it’s the fastest way to diminish your self confidence
It'll get way easier with time. Just put in the work- practice, learn and research.
Have a clear concept of what you want to do (and why) and go with that.
There is no one right solution, so anything you'll do is fine as long as you can justify it.
Not every project has to be a circus. Longer you'll do architecture more you'll appreciate simple solutions and forms.
Just do a project you would like to experience and have fun with it.
Hi Dami, I’ve always enjoyed your videos! can you please share your experiences in preparing for the exac exam? and would you recommend studying for the ncarb instead? (as it is a slightly faster route and well recognised in many countries). many thanks!
This is such a cool insight!
an attractive video, a good edition and a very interesting thread, you have a new subscriber!
Hey! Currently doing my own Building science masters at Ryerson/Toronto Metro U.
I learn more from Dami than I do in school.
Really Love your content and career
informative video ... thanks for sharing
Love it and learned a lot.
i have always wanted to be an architect, however i got to do civil engineering which is harder to do in my country but i still want to go through architecture.
Dami is just awesome!
11 minutes video, lot of fancy scenes of cool working environment, nicely places coffee mug and laptop, one huge ad for Autodesk and zero things to learn.
Another great content😍
Thanks for creating the great videos. Can you share which thermal flow simulation software used typically? Thanks.
Aslymu alylum (peace be with you) Damele. I would love you to make a video about how to design (from A to Z) the building/structure and talk about all the different engineers and architects who are involved in the design and how they work on it and the level of work for all the professionals involved in the construction......
Thanks sister I really love your work And the way you make videos, you are my idol.
Believe me I became addicted to your videos 😅
It is informative and interesting content at the same time.....
Hi Demi I'm really enjoying your channel, BTW I'm just south of you in Seattle. 😃
Thank you for this :)
Can you do a video on how you did the context / roads / trees in the revit massing model please. thanks . great videos
Hi there, been such a fan of your videos and actually starting to feel like learning architecture in depth. Do you know if there’s online courses that doesn’t require me to spend years learning. Appreciate it 😊
I don't know how I got here.....but as a high-school student learning architecture I'm glad I found this
This you tube channel came to my feed❤ so interesting!! I’m really interested in it.. outside my confort zone!
step 1: what can i do to mess with the engineers
@damilee Do you use manufacture specific BIM content for your models?
Nice video and clean explanation. May I know what mic did you use int this video? Super crisp sound.
Let’s go Canada, really like Architecture, glad I found this video, subbed.

I am a high school student and an aspiring architect. These videos have been very helpful! Reading a career description and numbers is one thing but hearing from someone who is actually in the profession is totally different and way more helpful!
Much thanks to you. I'm also an aspiring architect, I just finished my diploma in structural engineering. Hearing from you who is already an architect have provided me with direction.
Good afternoon. I hope this comment finds you well. I wanted to reach out to you because I have a question… O sent you a dm on your Instagram account. Can we talk on there?
I love your videos!!!!
you just earned a suscriber
Amazing 👍
What is the job prospect of an architect and how much are you expect to make in Canada coming out from an architecture school?
Like your dress selections ❤
I Hope you see this!!!!: I want to learn about Architecture so I can design my dream home. I know I could just give it to someone else to build but I would want it to be a personal project where I take my time and build a unique home that works with the natural environment. Then I'd give it to a Architectural Firm to review my design and they let me know if there are problems or if there are improvement that they would add to it and then send it through the process. Would this be an inconvenience to an Architect? To collaborate with a client based on a personal design.
I can't tell you how much , but its alot 😎 I like it alot 😊
Nice video.
I have to say, though, that there is a massive area of design which you didn't mention. It may or may not be so important in north America, but here in the UK, and also in Europe, the age and design style of the adjacent buildings is a huge deal. Infilling between two Georgian-style buildings, or with a Tudor building adjacent, or a Gothic, or Arts 'n Crafts building nearby is everyday stuff for me, and for thousands of other architects here in the Old World. Being responsive to those buildings doesn't necessarily mean copying them, or building in the same architectural style, but it does mean that we have to take into account the relationship, the form, the massing, the dominance or subserviance. The overall streetscape is considered, not just the new building. Otherwise, we simply will not get planning permission.
You’re amazing!
hiii can you explain how you handle your budget being an architect like all the stuff you need for your design process and everything
I don't know but I love her speaking voice 😆❤️
I'm glad that you made the video helpful and informative.
also I assume that you may need a professional postproduction artist
Thanks!
What do you do with all you're sketches when the design is done?
Great video!
Thanks
love your contents. listening also to sound of your voice is kind of therapeutic while drawing. frustarated architect here.
where did you get revit on your macbook ? As being a mac user i can't bring revit into my workflow 😔
I spotted building not far away from my home in london! 1:10
Thank you ma'am.
Thank you
wow amazing,.
hi thanks for this video, just wonder, whats the name of your mic ? it look so good
