  • There's a large amount of online music lessons available. I am comparing the usefulness of Musora (Pianote, Drumeo, Guitareo, Singeo) vs. CZcams (What I started with).
    I go over price, what is available, quality of content and other components of musora.
    Long story short: musora is the bomb.

    I got Pianote for Black Friday last year thinking I'd get a piano for Christmas. Well, things being as they are, I didn't get a piano until a month ago (July 7th). It's now August 13th and I'm about a month in and it's been great. I'm not progressing super fast, but faster than I expected.
    I also supplement with CZcams videos for certain songs I'm trying to learn, but the core of what I'm doing is on Pianote. Pianote is worth the money and I'll renew for sure.

    Hey man, thanks for doing this. I've played guitar for 30 years, but recently pulled an old drum set out of storage. I also want to expose my kids to piano as well. Sounds like something for the whole family

      Absolutely my pleasure! I firmly believe you'll get a lot of out it as I have. The pace at which you learn when you have good guidance is staggering. Youll have a family of musicians in no time!

    Yeah I bought A $250 Lifetime Pianote membership back in 2017. Forgot about it, it seemed to have carried over to the Musora membership, Great to see how the platform has improved, Lisa Whit And Jorden Liebel are like the key pillars that thought me How to play piano back in the day. Reviewed over the new curriculum to fill my gaps, Just really solid even for more advanced Players.

    Old drummer myself who had a teacher, after 15 years of not touching drumms i goy myself a drummeo sub , i think its muscle memory but i really got fast back at it , i think everyone needs an irl teacher at first to learn technic and basics

      I am actually in the process of doing this exact thing. I think it would be immensely useful to have someone point out my technique flaws immediately rather than identifying it myself based on recordings of myself (though that definitely works, too)

    You didn’t answer your question. How it is in comparison to learn an instrument on CZcams.
    Not what I expected :(

      Hey! So the big thing is that I did both while learning guitar. CZcams is much less efficient in finding what you need - in my opinion. Ciao!

      Dude, you already know the answer… there’s plenty of info to be found on CZcams but it takes time to research and arrange it, which takes away from the time you get to practice or learn. Pay for a membership with Musora and you’ll get everything all set up for you to start learning drums guitar piano and vocals… think about that… its the same price a month as what you would pay per week for a local hour lesson but you can practice all day, everyday, anything you want and get one on one feedback for all 4 instruments. Not sure why I don’t pay for a membership, I’m a drummer but I’d like to learn piano or take advantage of everything else

    Huge different skills level needed to learn amongs both piano and drums, right?

    • @MoXyiD
      @MoXyiD  Před rokem +1

      I’d certainly say that drums and piano require different skill sets - but they compliment one another very well. The rhythm sense gained from drums apply to piano as the dexterity and hand control gained from piano applies to drums.

    • @JesusPiano

      @@MoXyiD That's correct about the rhythm but other than that no comparison I would say. I play songs on the drums pretty much from day one and in just some 4 months I can "play" quite a few, while on the piano, after a few years still pretty much useless 🤣. I stayed 2 years on Pianote by the way. I left because they are ONLY into "chords playing" type of teachers and I'm more of a sightreader

    • @MoXyiD
      @MoXyiD  Před rokem

      it depends i suppose. I supplement most of my playing on piano by learning songs i like. ive been getting into ragtime lately - and it's a challenge because it mixes chords and bluesy riffs. Sightreading is a tough skill to develop - if youve got it, learning songs should be a breeze for ya!
