Another great video - I am just waiting for my new bar tape to come in and I will follow the wrapping video that doesn't require tape...LOL. Keep the great videos coming.
brilliant thank you very much just what i needed, one quick question though, if you want to double wrap the bars is their any speific tape to use underneath ? can you just a cheap ugly one first and wrap the good one on top ?
awesome video. When possible could you try to do a video showing how you clean a chain and cassette without having to wash the entire bike? keep it up!!
Just what I needed to see. I'm adjusting the hoods on my Roubaix and needed to know how to re-wrap the tape. Glad I can get rid of that extra piece that covered the hood clamp. But when I put my new tape on, I'm gonna do it reverse style, so I can get rid of the electrical tape at the end. Hope it works for round bars too!
Good man. Nice follow up. It isn't that it unravels, the thin edge of the tape frays. Your hands just move forward from tops to hoods, it's natural. Not after 50 miles or a hundred miles. After 1000 miles.
Just give it a little extra tug on there don’t be afraid to break a tape one time just so you know the tolerance of it. I’ve broken tape a couple times but now I know the breaking point and it helps a lot
Hey GC Performance, may I know whether is this the tape that always come in factory stock for Specialized bikes? Do you know the product name of the tape because I find it is so comfortable.
Right now....... nothing/anything I don’t own a road bike but I have demo bikes I can take out. But I’m more riding mountain bikes right now, I go through fazes and when o don’t ride something I sell it
@@GCPerformance18 Yes... the drops should be wrapped inside to out because your hands (on the drops) whether in a sprint, etc. you tend to twist or apply the torque from your hands twisting towards the outside of the bars. Hence the wrap in that direction. You did top of the bar correctly (front to back) as typically when you’re hands are on the top of the bars and you’re climbing, you tend to twist your wrists backwards. Hence the front to back wrap.
This helped me a lot! 57 years of riding and I have done lots of repairs but never bar tape.
Hahahha he’ll yea
This is a really good video. I still watch this every year when I replace tapes and forget everything.
This is the way I run my tape also. Best how to video I've watched regarding it too.
Thanks so much for watching!, I appreciate all the support
This is the best vid I've seen to wrap bars.
Thank you so much!!!
Thats perfect like the Pro Teams Buddy! Couldnt have done it way better. Love the detailed explanations and content!
Thank you so much!!! I tried to go slow for the figure 8 but thanks so much for watching!!

Helped me out for sure. Thank you for the expertise.
thnaks os much!!! I am glad I helped
Nicely done and described. Got mine to do soon.
thanks so much and glad you enjoyed it
This is wonderfully wrapped
Thank you so much :) I appreciate it
Great vid if I ever switch back to drops on my single speeds I will rewatch this!
Thanks so much I appreciate it :)
great video
I usually tape my bar this way, I tend to prefer it cause it also last longer, the hands don't ruin the tape profile that much !
Yea a lot of people like it like that. But also that’s what everyone only knew for so long
another informative video.
Thanks so much 😁😁
Excellent! 👍
Thank you for watching
brilliant thank you very much just what i needed, one quick question though, if you want to double wrap the bars is their any speific tape to use underneath ? can you just a cheap ugly one first and wrap the good one on top ?
Yea you can use whatever. I put like $15 dollar tape on the bottom and the nice tape up top
awesome video. When possible could you try to do a video showing how you clean a chain and cassette without having to wash the entire bike? keep it up!!
I could for sure 😁 still trying to figure out how to set it up but I can do it for sure
Perfect video, do one just like this for the right bar please 🙏🏻
I got you!!!
what's the difference between the regular specialized alloy drop handlebar and the expert drop alloy handlebar (which comes in some tarmacs)?
I think it’s shallow drop which means it’s a little more sleek and more aggressive bar.
Will you have the upcoming specialized bike to review when it gets released? (Great vid)
Of course. If there is one I don’t know
Awesome. Does the S-Works Tarmac SL7 come with the Supacaz bar tape?
Yes all of them come with supacaz bar tape for the tarmac sl7 even the expert

It works great!!! I am running no tape on my round bars now
I can build a bike, bleed the brakes, get it to shift as smooth as butter, but always mess up the tape at the end cut.

I got you 100 percent man, just wanted to do it both ways so people can choose lol
Wish u were local would love to have u work on my bikes
Thanks so much😁 that means a lot, I try my best to make it enjoyable for everyone
You forgot to mention to stretch test your tape, to get a feeling for the limit of the tape.
yesss this is true, I have broken tons of tape in the past and its a good learning leson to know when you stop
I always have problem with to short bartape!
Why they can just add 20 cm?

yes that is called the specialized roubaix tape
@@GCPerformance18 Great thanks man, seems like it sold out everywhere 😂
Love your vids man, are you going to show us some other lower end bikes?
Thanks so much, and yes I have more bikes coming this week. A lot of them
@@GCPerformance18◇No such thing as lower end bikes.lol All are very pricey to my bank account. Pinerelloporn🚴🏿♂️🚴🏼♀️
The Emperor lol they have like Allez and stuff which are $800 and by no Means cheap but financing makes it more affordable
Can you put on a new plug on the non di2 charger side?
yes u can
Any chance we can get to know what you ride on the regular ?
Right now....... nothing/anything I don’t own a road bike but I have demo bikes I can take out. But I’m more riding mountain bikes right now, I go through fazes and when o don’t ride something I sell it
So because it's got di2 you can't reverse wrap?
You can’t but someone said you can and he just superglued the bottom of them when it came to the end and he said it held up
Great
Is that buzzing noise from something at your shop? It's loud in comparison to you.
Lmao that’s my AC unit above my head. I work with that all day
If it is not DI2,begin from the top without tape.Max Style !
Yea, I agree did you see my tape job on the sworks sl7? From the top?
Hey GC can't you do wrap without tape or is that just a myth? Love the vids!!
He has a video on this. Posted it a few days ago. Check it out
czcams.com/video/YSiDLtGCqVg/video.html
Yes you can check it out. And thanks everyone :)
Kind of leaves a bulge at that first wrap. Why not angle cut the first one to make it more flat?
I like the the bulge it gives more girth on the hand to let you know where the bar ends
@@GCPerformance18 Makes sense. Thanks for the response. Great channel BTW
What is the tape brand?
Tnx
Supacaz bar tape
Do you have a used bike??
Me personally or for sale?
You’re wrapping the wrong way...on the drops.
naw

How to wrap handlebars... and then proceeds to wrap them the wrong way, awesome!
How did I wrap them wrong?
@@GCPerformance18 wrong direction... at least you managed a proper figure eight though. 🤷♂️
@@troybrowning839 Thanks!!
