Filipino Reactor. Keeping it real and natural.
I am Nephi Acaling. I am native to Bacolod City but currently living outside the Philippines due to job assignment. I’ve lived in different countries like Singapore, Japan and United States due to job assignments. I was in the US when I started this channel thus the confusion to some where I am truly based.
At a time, I was a band vocalist performing every Friday and Saturday night at a local bar chain but recently decided to quit from my band to focus on my CZcams Channel and my full-time job as an engineer.
I was a member of the Filipino Voice Symphony where I was taught by professional chorale singers (e.g. former soprano from UP Madrigal Singers). Our choral group actually bagged the Gold Medal in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011.
I was the Glee Club president and was a trainer for various singing competitions when I was in the university - all these were humbling experiences for me.
    WHAT IS THE GOAL?
My mission is to promote music among different regions and try to make people from different countries relate to each other through music and singing. I have always believed that even small gestures in understanding similarities and differences towards others may actually lead to greater awareness about countries and their people.
In this modern world full of things that divide humanity, it is but perfect to put efforts in re-uniting and building bridges among all of us.
I have come to a point of trying to find a greater purpose in life, something beyond just being happy for a moment. Happiness in life is more meaningful if we choose to be useful, be honorable, be compassionate, and make a difference.

fun fact is, Malaysia which sparked the idea of closing the Commonwealth Games in 1998 on a large scale in world sports events and then followed by other countries ... because before that the closing of sports events was done in a simple way..but Malaysia took a different step because it was considered one of the steps in promoting malaysian culture in the eyes of the world

Also care to react to Rindu Bayangan, Kau yang tersendiri, Si Baju Hijau, Cukuplah Sekali (won one of AJL side awards), and many more. I think in this event he sang Joget Angan Tak sudah, a traditional Malay tune. He won the earlier AIM award for the best male vocalist.

performing an irama malaysia assemble for such a prestige, worldwide event is really meaningful 😍 but i was thinking where was i when this was shown, dont remember to have watch this before and i was 6yrsold then, so must be i was in front of the tv everytime 😅
and during the dikir puteri, the song was inspired from a dikir barat performance registered from kelantan- my hometown, those steps and lenggok in singing and the lyrics is something that you can easily find in such genre. but sadly not many new blood for this genre nowadays 😔

Dikir Puteri by Noraniza is her popular song in Thailand back in the 90s. Till today you can still hear Thai people play this song on radio and in the club, even on their tv program.

I hope you will listen the one with translation of the "Dikir Puteri". The meaning of the song itself has a story and moral values. The meaning also sounds very festive at the same time to Malay speakers. I hope you can feel that

Her performance n Noraniza Idris' were impeccably cd quality at such a huge venue of Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil...
Cindai is until today the biggest hit song ever for the malay speaking region in South East Asia...
