- Here's a look at the stock Superlace wheeled version of the GT Pro Performer Heritage bike.

In the new gloss black colourway, the GT Performer Heritage bike has all the stylings of the classic 1986 Performer BUT with modern technology & geometry like a longer 20.75" toptube frame, U-brakes front & rear, a Gyro, sealed Superlace high flange hubs, two piece Performer bars, alloy Power Series cranks. So to summarise, this looks like a cool 80's Performer but you could enter a Pro skatepark comp on it.

i just put mine together after having it sitting in my basement over a year in the box.. initial impressions were - it's cheap. paint is super thin and fragile. tires/tubes are big and heavy. the spokes are flexy. the cable stays for the rear brake that thread into each side of the headset were both loose and required removal of the cables to access the screws behind them in order to red loctite them back into the frame. the brake levers are generic/no name. cheap plastic GT pedals. the sticker on the seat post was way off center. the only things really worth a damn on this bike are the hubs and the cranks.. overall, it is made in china and you need to expect the quality control isn't going to be where it was back in the 80s when these were made in japan or something made in USA. this isn't worth $950 guys.
i actually ended up returning it to ALBES as the rear dropouts/subframe was NOT SQUARE, so the rear wheel wouldn't center.. no matter what I'd tried, soon as you tighten the wheel bolts, the wheel just toes into a brake shoe and locks the rear wheel.. it was completely unrideable. pretty disappointing. I'm done with GT products forever.. zero quality control. i thank ALBES for accepting the return.
And another fact about the pro performer is the tube that crosses the frame back below the seatpost clamp is goes from side to side not not cut off an angle facing back where the emblem that is is a performer not a pro performer

I had my mind set on getting a haro but seeing this being black, and the price I might have to look into getting one. A bit longer than what I would like though. also anyone know the head tube angle?

I hate that about new bikes. Small cranks. Pedal to about 8 mph and your done. Mountain bikes are really guilty of this fact today. Ooh!!!! One up front is so much better they say, BULL!!!!!! The reason they say that is because the cranks on them today are so damn cheap and they still charge three times for it more than it's worth.
