wait didn’t they already take it
Yes, but there are two sets of makeup exams in June.
Thank you my mental breakdown needed this
You can do this
Jake's essential materials for AP exam:
box of tissues
emotional support animal
tea and candy
that one baby doll with a beard that you're afraid to get rid of
notes/cheat sheets
seriously this thing is terrifying
a stress ball
i think it just moved
a working computer or device to take the test on
it's got me oh no
a pencil
🤣🤣🤣
Are you still alive?
The one dislike is from College Board
🤣🤣🤣
I don’t know why I’m watching this. My exam is over
same lol
Maybe it's PTSD

Good luck fam
@@falcunt howd it go my guy? I feel like collegeboard is way overhyping the difficulty of the exams
Plagiarism software: (*exists*)
AP Lit students who had to use direct quotes from the passage: 😟
The plagiarism detection software is primarily to ensure that students don't collaborate on an essay and submit the same analysis.
hahahahhahahah
Marco Learning wait so sir, I used like some direct sentence from a CZcams video, would that be consider be plagiarism or this software is to prevent cheating among students
normal person: preparing for test by studying months in advance
me: watching review videos at 2 am
😂😂😂
John: "You're not creating works of art.."
ApArt students: say what now??!
😂
🤣🤣🤣
I am terrified for the Ap world history exam, my stomach hurts so bad
You can do it. Check out our video about test anxiety
You can't do it. I can't do it. Just have your mom on standby to shut down the power to the entire neighborhood and you're good.
@Gledis Miruku Ok, Hitler
hey how’d your ap test go?
@@nova_kaiser lmfaoo
Thank you for the free resources✨!! Everyone’s trying to make money off of the exam and nervous students; it’s ridiculous. It’s a lot of money just to take the exam
Happy to help!
Funny thing is I already finished my AP test before watching this
How did it go??
@@MarcoLearning submitted with 6 seconds left
Bravo!
College board: we'll see if you cheat
Dual monitor setup: helo
Why the heck am I watching this after I took the exam
Thanks for watching anyway!
me too...
Only thing I’m having on test day is the DBQ point breakdown and how to earn them, as well as my AP Exam study book that I have marked with some of the key concepts of each chapter for quick reference if I’m stuck. As well as my computer.
Same here man, except I’m using my own summarizes notes I took from my prep book to avoid getting lost in some of the extra stuff they throw in. Good luck 🙏🏽
DBQ point breakdown is PERFECT, ur right on track.
When i took APUSH last year, the first thing I did on the day of the exam once i got to the DBQ section was list all the ways to get the points and i just went down it like a shopping list
Our teacher made us organize notes on google docs from our whole year of notes. And all notes had to be written in our own words
Nice! Just make sure no one has shared access to your Google Docs during the exam
but we can’t have the google docs opened during the test right?
You can, but you cannot have anyone else in the document at the same time as you.
hell NO. I looked up one or two definitions and like spent under 20 seconds reading before going back to work XD not enough time!!!!
“You’re not creating works of art, you’re earning points.” That quote really shows how standardized testing wants everyone to think the same and be unoriginal.
That’s right, unfortunately.
Thanks, this was very reassuring!
Glad it was helpful!
watching this after I have already taken both my exams...
Thanks for watching anyway!
i wish i saw this before i committed all 3 traps on like all 5 of my exams i've taken already.
🤣
wait im actually so screwed bc for psychology i was literally pulling out definitions right off google....they dont grade ur definitions rather they grade how you apply them so i hope i didnt set off the plagiarism detection software
I used my notes that I wrote down, and I finished early. They just had the main points in the APUSH timeline. I even got 4 docs in and a conclusion
Nice!!
I wish I watched this before my AP Gov exam I was so running out of time to finish the questions :(
Sorry to hear that!
These aren't so much as traps as they are just things you are responsible for. But one thing that is FOR SURE a trap is this. So my friend was taking the AP Human Geography exam, and he had just pasted his work in the text box, and hit submit with five seconds left. However, it took really long to submit for some reason and it said they didn't get his first response. I feel really bad for him because it really wasn't his fault, since it's actually better to submit a test at the last second rather than with like a minute left or something, because you give yourself more time to check your answers and make sure they're right.
When I took my ap human geo My internet got stuck and wasn’t able to submit so I relate in some level. Hopefully he gets to take makeup if that’s even allowed 🙁🙁
@@selenachen7091 I'm pretty sure he'll be fine, and I think you will be as well. I think about 1% of students ran into that problem, which is somewhere around 10,000 people. I couldn't imagine Collegeboard failing all those students. If they do, we all riot :)
Thanks for sharing!
only using the internet and notes for double checking dates was what made the apush dbq easy, thanks to weeks of studying i was able to finish well within the time. i think i might actually have a shot at a 10!
Excellent!
Yo thanks for those free study sheets!
Glad you like them!
Can you copy yourself? Like if you wrote an old context for a practice DBQ and it fits into the question, can you paste that material?
In theory, you could, but we don’t recommend trying to take content from one DBQ and trying to apply to another one with different documents.
During Exam day, it is allowed to look up information from the internet?
Yes, you can search the internet, but you cannot collaborate with others.
Will using a study guide made from someone online, that's public to anyone, be okay for the exam, as long as you're not collaborating with anyone?
Yes, you can access whatever documents you want. Just make sure they are not shared Google Docs or social media pages.
I'm sitting here watching this video, and all I can think about is that this guy's face is familiar. Then I realize he taught me everything I know about SAT math hehe thanks for the help
Hahaha! Yes, John filmed videos for SAT and ACT Math for the Princeton Review
What about the evidence beyond the documents points? Idk if my short list of notes will have stuff about my prompt lol
Good point. For evidence beyond the documents, open notes can be especially helpful. Have you downloaded our study notes for WHAP? marcolearning.com/free-study-guides
Can I look at my PDF notes on my laptop while taking the exam, or will I have to print everything out?
Either way is fine
When we take the APUSH exam, isn’t it on a secure browser? So meaning we are locked in the tab and are denied internet access temporarily while taking the test?
It is not a lockdown browser or secure browser
Marco Learning Ok, and would it be considered cheating to google something, let’s say a doc we don’t understand so I know whether or not to do it?
It would not be considered cheating to google something during the exam
so the software they're using detect when you search something up, or when you're using communication software..?
Not necessarily, but you should not be on social media sites during the exam.
Do you have any sources for common outside evidence for the AP EURO exam tomorrow?
Yes, check out our free study pack at marcolearning.com/free-study-guides
@@MarcoLearning Thank you so much!
If I'm taking the exam on PC, can I switch tabs to access my google docs notes?
Yes, you can switch tabs. Just make sure that your Google Docs notes are private and cannot be accessed by another person during your exam.
Marco Learning Ok thanks, I was worry that I had to print all those notes and that my printer might break 😅😅
Does this still work when the entire school system has access to everything in your google drive or no?
Do you not have a study guide for Physics 1?
We don’t at this time. Sorry!
So are we allowed to use the text books?
Yes
IF I QUOTED THE CONSTITUTION IN MY AP GOV TEST DOES THAT MEAN I PLAGIARIZED
Quoting is not plagiarism.
Everyone good luck
Good luck!
Wait, they can detect plagerism on the textbook?
Yes, they could. Even though you can use your textbook, be careful not to let it get in your way or slow you down. Focus on the exam in front of you. Good luck on test day!
CB's Reddit was the funniest thing.

what happened on there?
can we use grammarly?
Yes, you are allowed to use it, but the Grammarly plugin can cause problems with the College Board's software, so it's recommended that you uninstall it.
If you copy from the question would that set off the plagiarism
The software will not allow you to copy and paste from the prompt. Also, you shouldn't quote long passages verbatim anyway.
I paraphrased something for outside evidence is that plagiarism?
It shouldn’t be if you didn’t lift whole phrases or sentences.
I fell for the first trap and I now realise I was simply underprepared. It feels as though I failed to be honest.
So sorry to hear that. It's really hard to figure out this new format of online, open book exams.
@@MarcoLearningdespite all of that, I still have many years to continue
I have a PTSD on it....
Can you imagine the feeling that you finished all the questions and just wasn't able to submit...?
Yikes! I hope that doesn’t happen!
Why am I watching this all my exams are done zkzjsijxjxj
👀
oh can we search on the internet during the exam?
Yes, you can, but you can’t collaborate online with others or post on social media during the exam.
@@MarcoLearning Thank you!
Can't we just paraphrase?
Yes, you can.
I'm more scared about my Gifted LA final exam than I am about the AP Human exam lol
Good luck on both!!

@@MarcoLearning I think they went pretty well

Who else has an open book exam due to the corona?
There are no other standardized tests that have done it, but plenty of schools and colleges have given out open book tests.
@@MarcoLearning For mine, it is basically a 'take-home' assignment where we are given exactly 2 days to complete it before the submission page closes. It's for a science based subject though.
