Ryan Toth That's some serious piano programming! I know it wasn't played, it's all drawn and MIDI sequenced and stuff. I would love to hear someone try and fucking play that live, that would be insane. Some of the ways you programmed that piano's, like, technically impossible to do.
The way you take a basic chord progression and a “basic” baseline idea and turn it into this flavorful masterpiece is just insane

He's saying it's technically impossible to play on a bass, ie only possible through software.
@Xovion he actually didnt believe this bassline could be played live. Thinking that there would be too many notes for one bass/bass player to pull off, its an honest mistake as he clearly far underestimated the skill of many bass players

I can NOT stop listening to this. I'm not even a big fan of EDM or house music or electronica, although I have a soft spot for some old school DJ Keoki...but this is the shit!! That bass line plays in my head constantly!! Brilliant brilliant work! You have this punk rocker's approval.
Well hey I started my musical journey as a "heavy metal guitar shredder" and now I'm doin this kind of stuff! Glad you enjoy it and I'm glad this appeals across genres.
I mean really this whole bass-line thing has been a great thing for all three parties:
1) Deadmau5 gets some promotion about the fact he streams, and the fact him and his music exists (and especially introduces those who had no clue about him.
2) CZcams channels like Davie504 (as well as a couple of others) as he gets to "prove" deadmau5 wrong (although he did say technically) and have potential growth themselves.
3) Most importantly, the artist (in this case, Sparkee Music) gets recognition (okay yeah arguably through the deadmau5 stream anyway) but there are a few people that will look up the song because of this technical bass-line fiasco, which I think is nothing but great!
(I mean this could confirm the illumanitti as they may have put this thought into deadmau5 but we'll not go there..)
Annnd thats another 10 minutes of my life I will never get back...

Been a classic metal head, classic rocker, and classic country boy my entire life, but this is really something else. So many layers, and that bass is the funkiest thing I ever heard, paired with the ambient feeling of that piano is also something I never heard or felt before. I have to dig deeper into this type of music.
