If you play this at 23 hour 56 minutes and 15 seconds on 31st December you will enter 2023 on the drop

Same for 2024 ?
@@Dainis-wg3rlwas it?
Let’s try for 2024 such a good idea 👍🏻
This song is like life itself. Starts off slow and as a child you just want it to go faster. As you grow the speed in which life passes increases. You realize life is passing you by and you cannot slow it down or go back. As you start to grasp at life trying to slow it down it just hits you full force, but it's too late to go back to the way things were....When life was simple.
Amazing perspective of life. 👍
I get the same vibe with Sasha's 'Wavy Gravy' 👍
Pięknie opisane ♥️
Listen to this on acid.
@auser3998 Yes please 😂
This is no song, it's a journey.
+lorderik237 I totally agree
You have put it in the best way possible
A Life Journey. From start it goes nice and slow. As time goes by, it gets stronger, reaches peak, and then lost power, until the inevitable end...
😍
100%!!!
When I die, I want someone to take all the photos and videos of my life and make a collage to this song. Start w my birth, upbringing, personal growth and build to the best moments of my life, accomplishments, good memories and family moments and eventually go down my life as I enter old age to the ultimate end. Its been a fun ride...
I love this idea
👍👌
Whoa! Idea!
goosebumps
Its the ultimate up and down, we should all have such an opus
The song that plays when you finally realize what your purpose in life is and you start moving in the direction of your destiny.
Exactly! Like finally moving towards your highest goals in the fullest of speeds!

Thats really the story of Life !
There aren't many artist who manage to make me cry with their sound and Prydz has done it again. This is insane, pure epicness, an emotional journey. This type of music is what I live for. I can only say thank you, thank you for keeping it real all this time. For doing you and for making life so much better. It makes me so happy.
Colyton KRV Agreed! So much emotion and feeling in this particular track, instant classic!
Colyton KRV cant explain it better :) musik like that is what makes life worth living
+Joyexer You just cant explain it lol, if ever human existance is compromised we have to make sure eric prydz is preserved to keep making music.
Dear Eric, I want to express my greatest gratitude to you. I fulfilled my dream of listening to OPUS live, at dawn. In Buenos Aires, on February 11, 2023. You blew my mind for 4 hours and you closed in an epic way in front of thousands of people and one of those people was me. Crying and jumping, thank you for giving me the best time of my life. This is one of the tracks, where you will look back and say: "The music was better in the old days".
+arithmetisches Mittel Absolutely true! This is actually a stand-out track of the current era of dance music and it still doesn't come close to the glory days of the early-mid-90s/early-00's!
the time music was released =\= the quality of the music.
+arithmetisches Mittel still im 93. generation but i really miss good old days of dance trance and techno music... music made with heart and soul... :/
+arithmetisches Mittel : Very good statement, a rare case that holds absolutely true mate!
+Brian Cha Seriously all these special snowflakes who were born in the "wrong generation" need to get off their high horse. Does nobody remember all the shit that came out in the 80's and 90's? Does nobody remember "Thousand" by moby?
I owe the best weekend of my life to this song. My wife and I live in the Netherlands and we were driving home from a trance party on a Friday night some years ago. At the moment we had to get off at a highway intersection to go towards our hometown, this exact song came on the radio in an amazing trance mix. Still in a festival buzz, we looked at each other and said: "What the hell, let's just keep going".
So in stead of getting off there, we kept driving south all through the night, across Belgium and France with this awesome 24h mix marathon on the radio. We arrived 1100km and 12 hours later on the coast of the Mediterranean, where we met up with a group of surfer friends who lived nearby. We crashed out on the beach for a couple of hours and spent the next 2 days surfing, eating, drinking, smoking, making love and music around a campfire on that beach, before driving back on Monday after the best fucking spontaneous weekend of our lives. All because your song came on the radio at the perfect moment.
That smile will never leave my face when I hear this song, so thank you!

This will be remembered as a "classic" in EDM.
It already is.
this is a classic since it was released
It's been the best year of my life. I finally got to separate from my abusive dad. I got into my dream college. I found people that care about me. I have loving friends. I finally am getting better at what i love doing. I am adopting healthy habits. I am learning to use my free time to read books. Sincronizing the drop with the new year made me cry so much because i saw my entire year through flashblacks. The sweat, the blood, these hours i didn't sleep bc i needed to do that one thing. Everything. It made me realize how lucky i am, how my life is good bc of the people that love me and bc i put work into it. Thank you.
Good luck

Caer y volver a levantarse.

This song is about the story of life. You start out small, a single cell .. a few moments later you are two cells at 3:43 you are born. Then it starts, your life. It get's complicated fast. You will experience moments of joy, moments of sadness. You will live you life to the fullest and then before you know it everything starts to slow down, you can see the end. Just a little longer. Things you did become a vage memory, you look back one more time and then it ends.....
Good analysis based off your opinions.

The genius..........Eric Prydz! This is divine!!
Eric Prydz closed his set with this at Creamfields last night, and words simply don't come close to explaining how this made me, and everyone else in that tent feel. This was 9 minutes of pure euphoria, every single person in that tent had a smile on their face; a memory to last a life time. Thank you Eric Prydz for such an insane experience!
+George Kershaw it was the best hour and a half of my life....the atmosphere in that tent was just unbelievable and this was the best way to end it

He was unreal playing games he must have gone to play pjannio 25 times but never played it, 3 weeks earlier he took me on a journey ill never forget in amnesia a 3hr set wow words don't do Eric justice he's a musical magician
I'd heard this at someone else's set that weekend as well, and Giuseppe Ottaviani started his set for the closing of Connect in ibiza, by far one of the best sets I've for a while, and a fantastic song to start it with.
+Matthew Roberts Steve angello dropped it on the Saturday night
To all of those who wonder how it works technically to make that kind of never ending effect in music : the loop used is on 20 (4 X 5) while in most songs it's 16 (4 X 4). It repeats itself in 20 times instead of 16, which makes this effect that it should not go that far and at the same time it should not loop so early ; seems like the loop has no beggining or ending (while it technically has) - Another exemple of this is La Ritournelle by artist Sébastien Tellier
Which is also a fantastic tune.
Eric Prydz created EDM's Godzilla. And it will never end.

@Iores Pyadzee it can be that way but i believe that music isn’t really the issue here. It is as if you were saying that physical activity is bad because it produces happy hormones and you now cant do it because you wont be happy otherwise and will be depend on working out forever. Thats the same. It is just a chemical reaction in your brain. If you feel you cant be happy without EDM, try some other sources of those hormones it really helps and there is plenty of info on the internet on this. then deadmau5 is the Bach
man none of you guys actually can comprehend how good those composers were back in that time period. they didn't have computers to do their work. and they worked their ASSES off, FAR harder than anyone in the past 150 years. NOT ONE single artist is even close to a fraction of what they were at in terms of skill.
these comments comparing modern day musicians to musicians of the classical, baroque, or romantic periods of classical music are so FUCKING STUPID. end of story. good day to all of you idiots.
I'm the only one who getting goosebumps in the build up ?

Wirtual bring me here
With this song, I feel like I can see the sound in my head. So simple yet feels like the whole universe is inside, connected.
Still can't believe he wrote this in 30 minutes..
I don't agree with you. Everybody can learn to mix and master but writing melodies can for many be real hard. Melodies require inspiration. Mixing and mastering do not.
couple that with the fact that most dont even bother with melodies
TheOleDahl hey bro
this melody once thought then requires only around that much time as the making of this wasn't difficult
sometimes something that has a simple making can also be so huge
lotta tracks have taken lotta time to be made and yet not so huge. some tracks like these take around less time and yeah it became huge.
like that generic martin garrix animals song took less time for that track but hey its huge track
so honestly as a producer myself I knw that opus didn't take long time to make
Writing melodies IS easy. Mastering is the hard part. As a producer, I take barely 30 min to make a melody... even though mine might not be as great as this one ( though this one is very simple if you think about it). The build up is also very simple.
if u are into music and u are gifted naturally then yes writing melodies will be easy and for those not into music who are into production they get to learn many things about music and in turn writing melodies become easy for them..... what you pick up in music that can never get fresh but the mixing mastering part can be hard and is always something to learn as new shit/plug-ins or stuff always keep coming up no matter what
I thought in my 44 years on this earth I had heard every dance track that could move me to tears but this is the one

A journey through life. Every 1 minute is 10 years of a lifetime. Birth to death.

Manuel Mena between this and Language by Porter Robinson.
Manuel Mena Hahahaha totally agree
Even more harder when you are high
This masterpiece makes me feel like something is about to end... something _unkown_ coming... something sad, painful doesn't want to go out...
I'm just saying. This the power of music.
Yeah.... something's about to happen....
The decade ended
