    You're video was great. I set the cams perfectly. :) The AA battery looking thing in actuator actually exploded in mine. Caused a mess inside the housing. Thanks for your help.

    Great video. Would setting it more towards the spa side starve booster pump in any way? Thanks

    This is the spa valve i have. But when we turn the spa on the spillover doesn't stop. It did in the past so the spa could heat up.

    do you have to cam a actuator in order to turn on or off a spa spillover? I have brand new hayward system and my spillover always runs I'd like to have option to turn off or on instead with one pump that controls pool and spa

    Does the Jandy valve actuator attach to any 3 way valve? Our Jandy JVA2444 is operational however the 3 way valve below is leaking. So I'm thinking we can order a Jandy 3 way valve that comes with a handle and remove the handle and replace it with the actuator? I'm supper new to pool maintenance. Thank you

      Just about any manufacturer's actuator will work with just about any manufacturer 3-port valve. Changing the guts of the valve is not a bad idea, however you must stick the the exact manufacturer of the valve. In the case of Pentair, you will also need to stay with the same model/type. Here is a video on how to rebuild the valve instead of replacing the guts --> czcams.com/video/eGPE07Gp_XQ/video.html

    Should the switch be in the middle position during normal operation?

      no one be able to answer this correctly without seeing your pool plumbing system

    Why would you send the majority of the water to the spa? With such a small amount of water going to the pool, it would be difficult to heat it efficiently.

    • @thebluch
      @thebluch Před 2 lety +4

      Because in that scenario it would be a spillover spa. All the heated water going to the spa ends up in the pool anyway

      You wouldn't, he's made a mistake but for the purpose of the video its the same instructions. It's much more important to set 90% of the return to the pool and 10% to the spa. If you have a Aqualink or similar automation controller an even better idea is to have the return 100% to the pool and set up a spillover schedule to run everyday which is what it's meant to do. Having the water constantly spilling over is a sure way to raise pH and increase evaporation - silly idea.

      LOL... I know right? LOL my poor eyes kept trying to focus for him 🤣 I know it’s not his fault my camera does the same shit ! The only way he could have fixed the issue was to ether try NOT to MOVE whilst he is demonstrating this adjustment or he could of pr-watched the video to see if everything was kosher before uploading it 👍🏻 but it’s cool breeze I learned what he was teaching... ✌🏻
