    Recently I found out that Azos added to your plugs will help feed those new roots instead of regular plant food. And, it's very important that you don't open the dome until they are ready. Otherwise you let out the moisture that is critical to those first few days of developement. And, too much water will drown your clones. You didn't mention that. I killed 100% of my clones in rockwool cubes bc I didn't squeeze the cubes after soaking. Fell right over and took a shit. Those premoistened brown peat plugs, like the ones you have, work the best. Had 100% success using those. Also, adding a little Root Excelurator Gold from House&Gardens will make your roots look like a body builder on steroids. Organic fertilizers are the best BTW.

    maybe not so much with tomatoes, but one should always do as much trim as possible BEFORE the cut to avoid air getting into the nutrient transport tube. I do clone tomatoes over the winter but its just, trim, poke a hole in medium, and cut and push in the hole. Done, very very seldom lose any. I've thrown trimmed suckers on the ground and had them root.

      rapid rooters have a silicon like additive additive that keeps them sturdy and retain moisture a little longer than straight peat cubes and a lot longer than rockwool

  • @abitofthisabitofthatwithda5379

    good info and all! but you dont need cloning jell for tomatoes! they will root on there own i 6 to 7 days any way. how about a harder wood plant like a blueberry or lilacs bush? im in the market for a good cloning jell. and yea im going through a bunch of clone-x vids.

    • @SKEC212
      @SKEC212 Před 5 lety

      Cloning gel or powder does not work on bushes that have a wood like structure. For anything hard you have to pin a branch to the dirt with a landscape staple. Cover a few inches of the branch with dirt. Cover the dirt with wood mulch to prevent erosion. Come back to it after about six months. I am a landscaper and that's been my experience when trimming bushes in people's yards. I have a pink lemonade blueberry bush in my yard. I put some professional organic liquid plant food on it from Foxfarm called Grow Big along with some Recharge by Real growers. Then in the spring I put some Big Bloom with Recharge on it. And, that's when I started seeing baby bushes coming up right next to it. I later surgically extracted the babies and put them into pots. Gave most of them away as gifts. The blueberry bush grew 2 inches in 2 years. When I gave it some Recharge it grew 7 inches in one month!

    Why do you remove part of the leaf 🍃

    • @dong9514
      @dong9514 Před 3 lety

      It makes it so the plant needs less water. I watched other vids that they remove 40% of the plant leaves that were left after removing all lower leaves. I guess less leaf because the plant has to make do until the roots coming in.
