Happy 4th of July! Thank you for another great video
Hello, I woul like information for yor classes I tried but I couldn't find you thank you so much scannerdanner
These are the kind of guys i wanna hang out with
🍺🍺
these are the kind of guys you want to bring your vehicles to
Awesome video you guys. I love watching the interaction between the brothers and the father son relationship. That is some of the parts that I enjoy the most. You all make me laugh. I really want to thank you for showing all that is involved with intermittent problems, how the tech feels about what he is doing, the real world problems and situations that we encounter while doing our jobs. The honesty and integrity of your repairs and processes if what keeps me coming back for more. I hate fake or editing to make themselves look all high and mighty. You all are just honest and that’s hard to find now in days. Thank you all so much for doing what you do.
Thank you so much my friend. We think the best way to learn is to show everything the way it is, as much as we can, in real time and real problems. Of course my sons getting seriously good at editing but that just makes it more watchable right? Thanks again!
There's always something to learn from your videos , this time it's about the bias voltage check at the O2 sensor heater wire , good job Paul , you and Caleb rocks.
Thank you Tres Danners again. Good job. Have a blessed and safe week to you and your families.
Finly got a little money to get back on your premium channel, loving it its always yood seen your clips and what I love about this one 1 and 2 were there to see and may God bless you and your family, most of all keep up the good work
Thanks so much Paul! Truly appreciate the support
Needless to say that there's a GM TSB that addresses this issue which seems to plague many GM trucks/vans with early electronic throttle bodies. GM sent out a newer ECM calibration that should cure the problems.
Buddy of mine went exact the same route like your customer by 1) replacing throttle body and 2) new TB connector, but it still went into limp mode on occasions. I updated him the PCM with newer calibration data using Tech2 and the problem was gone since.
Thanks for the funny umbrella moments and oxygen heater theory 👍
Great job Caleb ... you have helped your old man get back into having fun.
Really loving the follow ups at the end
Another great job and fix thanks for share Paul and Caleb, the weekends are best with your videos =)
I love using the Sopoby Solder Heat shrink connectors. Never had a problem with any connection from them.
Thanks for sharing SD👍
Thanks Caleb & James😉
Stay Safe Guy's❤
thank you very much for the great work you doing
I really appreciate your vids ,all info ,and detailed explanations. Your vids are very informative as is your book.
Awesome! Thank you!
Aweesome!And..that Fibre tape from TESA is FANTASTIC;We used that excact tape at the Mercedes Benz Dealership when doing various electrical recall work etc.And i brought with me a bunch of those when i left the dealership..and been using them ever since.Great quality..and superb for electrical repair work in engine compartment etc. Anyways.Thanx for another great video. And a big up to the guy doing that wiring repair work.DOH :) Greetings from Norway ,Stefan
can not do any better, this guy is a master tech.
Yeah usually starting where someone repaired wiring, was a great place to start! Nice umbrella!!!!!
Your video production has absolutely increased in value due to Caleb. I hope you are paying him because he's making you look really really good lately. Video production includes recording, editing, and audio mastering. It is in fact a film industry job. Pay that man. Loving you new videos with Caleb behind the camera. He's very talented.
I am brother. He's 19 and buying his first house next week. He's made himself that important. Thanks for noticing and for confirming what I see too, that Caleb has developed a remarkable skill. I am truly blessed by him.
The man bun is borderline...since he's a Danner we'll let him slide...lol
@@paulholt8153 hahaha nice! The man bun is gone :-)
Very good job Paul, all good for you and your Family from germany.
Thanks for the lesson master
I’ll use the blue connectors and strip twice the length of wire and bend it in half so there is a doubled up loop in the connector.
Glad to know I'm not the only one that does that w butt connectors that are a little big....
Thank you for another perfect video!!!
You said, he said he had repaired those wires first, than after few weeks, problem returned, then he changed TB. The fact he haven't hadproblem since you repaired that wire, point me to think that wire was really the isue, and that he hadn't done it right in the first place.
Sorry for not so great English but you have fans all over the world.
I understand you perfectly. Thank you and I agree 100%
We have the same snap on crimpers. I love my red ones. Techs should always pulls on butt connector repairs before tape. I have had many bad crimps over the years. Crimp & heat tubing...yes brother.
Good video
Good Form Danner. Be safe on this, our day of Independence.
XDMonkey 100% AGREE down to earth guys.GREAT video Danner and always keep them coming.
Thanks! Will do!
Great job.
get the all new redesigned "upbrella" and spectacularly doubles as a rain collection funnel to water your flowers....
Paul your brother is a real character. Really cool guy. Good video guys have a safe and healthy 4th of July. Get your brother a new umbrella. LOL 🇺🇸👍
I like using splice sleeves too compared to solder and shrink wrap. Soldering can be a pain in tight quarters. I've used the NAPA sleeves before and they work great, just don't buy the ones at Wally world, LOL. I like watching your videos when you film at your brothers shop, it's like auto diagnostics and comedy central both in one.
Brotherly love! Ya gotta love it. 😊
Danner with that umbrella had me rolling!! 😂🤣😂 Looked like he deployed it off the back of a motorcycle at 70 MPH. 😁
That was a nice find there with that butt connector. Was worth fighting that stupid doghouse, since that did fix it! On that note ... a poorly designed doghouse in a GM product. Why am I not surprised? I swear with the engineering they throw out there lately, that they're actively trying to discourage EVERYONE from working on them. 😵
My grandfather used to say about McDonalds: "It's a great place to eat when you're not hungry". For me, it's the best laxative on the planet - anything on the menu is. 😂
Great stuff as always, Paul & Caleb ... and James with the umbrella! 🤣 Hope all of you had a great Independence Day. 👍🍻
Hi Danner, I was wonderingif you can show how to test a 5 wire wideband sensor
Eres chingon Danner 👍🏻
Very nice job realy
Strongly recommend heat shrink and solder for proper wiring repair.
To each his own. Many manufacturers use crimp connectors on there splices and they are not soldered.
Why 2 thumbs down? Paul is giving you free information. Sad a$$ people
Great diag👍electrical throttle bodies😔
Happy Independence Day to you Paul and Your Family! God Blessing.
😂 danner almost pocked an eye out with that umbrella
thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
you guys are great! I have learned so much from viewing your videos! I wish you could take a look at my 2017 ford flex i'm dealing with a shady dealership and i am about to trade my car in which i really don't want to but it seems like these techs now a days just don't get it.
Are you close to Pittsburgh PA? We can help you if you are
God bless you all...
Thanks you so much for the info.. I am in the process of buying a autel scanner maxicheck mx808ts can i have your opinion on that scanner.. I do not have alot of money to beable to buy another new one cause of economy sorry. Thanks for your time...
I do not, I'm sorry, thanks!
Ah an reverse umbrela. It protects the sky from the Danners xD
Paul any chance you have a video on a newer throttle body
I'm having problem understanding this 2016 express tps thanks
Not sure which engine you have but I just checked a 2016 with a 6.0L and it is just a single potentiometer and a reverse polarity DC electric motor (5-wires)
The 3-wire pot is tested exactly like every other TPS. Hope this helps
@@ScannerDanner ok great thank you
I'm sorry I kept bothering about this but I got lost in this one
Thanks for ur videos man they help me a lot and your book too
Hello ,what is the information for monthly classes thank you so much

It’s funny, at Nissan they actually use the heat shrink solder sleeve in their electrical class. They are quick and easy. I wonder if all stealerships are going to that now? Hopefully they hold up. Do you have any confirmed issues because of them?
I do not, the ones I've done seem to hold up good.
I’m a huge fan of your videos but I was wondering is there a way you can use a laptop to control onboard automotive systems such as door ajar switches or other things activated by the ecm ?
you will still need some type of scanner interface module, you will NOT be able to just plug your laptop into the DLC. I've never really used a laptop based scanner, so I cannot advise you further, sorry
I have a 2002 Chevy Express 3500 with the 57 it ran great started one morning move 3 ft and quit with crank over no start change a bunch of parts change the ignition coil it would start for one second and then die changed crank sensor crank position sensor nothing same change Kim position sensor same what's wrong with the van
Wow, it seem's like this case study was hard to edit because of the amount of time and film invested.
Some times we the viewers, overlook that. Thanks 👍
By the way, if you can yank a hair from Caleb's nose, he can stuff a straw in your soda. 😜👍
For sure, what we do behind the scenes is often overlooked, thank you for this comment. I read it to Caleb and he liked it too.
Hi bro , I have 2000 Astro van . I have a problem my mechanic changed the tps sensor twice and I drive it for one day and half . The check engine light come on with the same p0121 again. Mechanical said is an electric problem can you help. Thansk
If you have a voltmeter and can follow some recommended tests I can
Do you have a part number for those snap on crimpers?
I don't unfortunately
Might I recommend to crimp the connection a few more times in the middle
5:42 this is usually what ends up happening in my head, i just had an acura come in the dealer (work at honda, so i am familiar with the engine) and whoever decided to put a timing belt on this thing did a poor job putting it back together, when im repairing it still pops in my head, especially when looking at wiring like in that shot with the not-finished butt connectors "OH MAN, BUBBA AND THE BOYS WERE HERE, WHAT KINDA B.S. DID WE COBBLE TOGETHER TODAY THAT I GOTTA FIX?"
My car is making a ka-thump ka-thump sound followed by a tick-tick-tick noise. What do you think it is?...lol...just kidding. Great video as usual. Your bro is funny. Happy 4th....cheers from Las Vegas
Did he get the exhaust fixed? Nice job by the way
I don't think so, at least not yet
Would identifying the wire that came apart's function maybe give you a clue to if indeed that was the issue.
i was thinking the same thing. maybe leave it off to see if it gives the same codes.
I showed the scan data, and on one of the TPS sensors, the signal went to 5v, so this was either a sensor ground wire or the signal wire itself. No question this condition would set these codes. Remember I read the description of one and it was if the signal was under .3? or over 4.8? (somewhere in that range) it would set that code.
👍👍
Sir i have questions have a good relay and voltage on my terminal but if you install the relay it not energize can you help me for that thank u
relays have load and control sides to them, there needs to be more testing done on your part for me to be able to help you. Also, year, make, model, engine, what relay you are messing with, which side you tested (load or control), how did you test it etc etc
ScannerDanner thank you 1998 bmw 2.5 sir and im still looking for shorted and also my battery drained fast overnight the my problem of my is cranking to start im talking about relays fuel pump and air pump not energizing tried FP relay to dme working and bypassing thank you sir
Cranking no start no fire to ignition pack

...The life of a Cat cleaner is the life for me.
What is the tape name again Paul thanks
www.amazon.com/shop/scannerdanner I have it listed here, it is called Tesa tape Thank you!
And the exhaust leak ?????
haha. how many times have i ordered that for my kid....
Hahahaha. What a happy family..
Do you ever work on newer vehicles???? Like your videos...
13 and 14 would be about the newest due to me being an aftermarket guy and warranty with the dealer. I may have a few 16s on both here and my Premium channel. But I've always been 5 years behind the new stuff my entire career
I have try to get to your premium channel but for some reason i can get in ...any tips how to get in the page...thanks
Email me at support@scannerdanner.com and we can help you. My wife and I handle that inbox personally. Thank you!

It's an UNbrella!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏✌
Time will tell if the intermittent is fixed.
time has been good to us so far, it has been about 3 weeks with a few hundred miles driven, with no issues
I have a 2000 Chevy van 5.7 having intermittent power loss myself. Scanner not finding anything. Comes and goes.
Check your fuel pressure
That's been on my mind. Just changed the fuel filter this afternoon. So far so good! I'll keep you posted.
@@neilfantacone7534 if it comes back (power loss), look at your scan data and tell me what your oxygen sensor is reading at wide open throttle. It should be over 800mv (full rich signal). If it drops lean (around 200mv), then you absolutely have a fuel delivery issue (MAF sensor skewed or fuel pressure dropping off under load)
Changing the fuel filter didn't help. Put a pressure tester on it. Took a few seconds to build 10 psi. It got to 50psi after driving it. Then dropped to 38psi. Put the new fuel pump in today. Success!
always solder my joints & heat shrink :) wont use them crap joints
I've never had a problem with these. And if I had the good heat shrink, I wouldn't argue with you. The problem is, most of the heat shrink sold is garbage and does NOT have the sealant in it when you heat it. If it doesn't have that, I won't use it
Could cut that wire that pulled apart and see what codes come up
you could do that
Have you ever dragged your thumbnail down a wire and found an internal break in it? Your nail drops down into the insulation at the break. I have found several intermittent shorts in commercial equipment this way over the years. It’s easier if you know which system wires are involved in the circuit.
6:27 .... oh come on ... tear it like a man .... bawhahahahaha You know I'm joking right. Best practical joke, hand the new guy the exterior tape and when they can't tear it pick up a roll of interior tape and show them how easy it is to tear.
HAVE YOU EVER FIXED ANYTHINK?
Lol nope
Lol keep ur straw
What had ever happen to where you would order parts
From Napa auto parts I would get a really satisfying product
Know all I can say about them is they do know how to get under my skin all I can say twords them as a last resort it would be Napa mind I'll take my needs to a nother parts vender
Can't believe what I just saw...did you cut the Tesa with a knife? You don't use your finger nails to do this? If you need I'll make a video to show you how to do it... (just kidding)
Give me the names of the 7 dislikes and address I have had it. Time to hunt the haters down. 😜
Out here in California, what you did with the upturned umbrella is illegal. Collecting rainwater is against so many environmental rules out here, plus there is a hate crime enhancement. If you guys are part Native American then you're exempt.
🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July.....If everyone wants to keep this great country, you know you need to vote for Trump.
yeah unfortunately we have the most arrogant person ever as the only option to keep this s--t storm that the progressive liberal nut jobs in our country want to bring us
Everything is political now why what does that have to do with fixing cars was never like this and I'm 55 yrs old so I've seen some stuff in my time but this is unbelievable you have friends that dont speak anymore family's broken and divided like never before has anyone ever think that this was someone's plan all along if it is it's working even after this clown is gone nothing will be the same again and that my friends of you still are is sad and we as a society will suffer like never before.
Let's just wish everybody a Happy 4th of July for today. That's all.
The statement was not really meant to be political, but rather about common sense and decency. The bottom line is we know what right and wrong is and lets choose the right path and keep America the great country that it has been, regardless of who the president is.
@Troy Smith "broken and divided" indeed is the plan and what is to come will be a "new world order" of that I have no doubt
👍👍
