    Awesome video you guys. I love watching the interaction between the brothers and the father son relationship. That is some of the parts that I enjoy the most. You all make me laugh. I really want to thank you for showing all that is involved with intermittent problems, how the tech feels about what he is doing, the real world problems and situations that we encounter while doing our jobs. The honesty and integrity of your repairs and processes if what keeps me coming back for more. I hate fake or editing to make themselves look all high and mighty. You all are just honest and that’s hard to find now in days. Thank you all so much for doing what you do.

    Needless to say that there's a GM TSB that addresses this issue which seems to plague many GM trucks/vans with early electronic throttle bodies. GM sent out a newer ECM calibration that should cure the problems.
    Buddy of mine went exact the same route like your customer by 1) replacing throttle body and 2) new TB connector, but it still went into limp mode on occasions. I updated him the PCM with newer calibration data using Tech2 and the problem was gone since.
    Thanks for the funny umbrella moments and oxygen heater theory 👍

    That was a nice find there with that butt connector. Was worth fighting that stupid doghouse, since that did fix it! On that note ... a poorly designed doghouse in a GM product. Why am I not surprised? I swear with the engineering they throw out there lately, that they're actively trying to discourage EVERYONE from working on them. 😵
    My grandfather used to say about McDonalds: "It's a great place to eat when you're not hungry". For me, it's the best laxative on the planet - anything on the menu is. 😂

DID WE COBBLE TOGETHER TODAY THAT I GOTTA FIX?"

      @ScannerDanner  Před 4 lety

      I showed the scan data, and on one of the TPS sensors, the signal went to 5v, so this was either a sensor ground wire or the signal wire itself. No question this condition would set these codes. Remember I read the description of one and it was if the signal was under .3? or over 4.8? (somewhere in that range) it would set that code.

      @@neilfantacone7534 if it comes back (power loss), look at your scan data and tell me what your oxygen sensor is reading at wide open throttle. It should be over 800mv (full rich signal). If it drops lean (around 200mv), then you absolutely have a fuel delivery issue (MAF sensor skewed or fuel pressure dropping off under load)

    6:27 .... oh come on ... tear it like a man .... bawhahahahaha You know I'm joking right. Best practical joke, hand the new guy the exterior tape and when they can't tear it pick up a roll of interior tape and show them how easy it is to tear.

    Out here in California, what you did with the upturned umbrella is illegal. Collecting rainwater is against so many environmental rules out here, plus there is a hate crime enhancement. If you guys are part Native American then you're exempt.

      The statement was not really meant to be political, but rather about common sense and decency. The bottom line is we know what right and wrong is and lets choose the right path and keep America the great country that it has been, regardless of who the president is.
