That depends on how the car is used. My car is dual purpose both street and autocross, and I do rev it higher than a lot of people with MGB’s ( bouncing off a rev limiter pretty regularly). I am building this engine because of problems with my last on that may be due to oil foaming and a windage tray helps prevent that.
I have an adjustable rev limiter. Usually i set it fairly low at about 5600 for street use, but when i autocross I turn it up to 6000 and adjust up a little if I’m in a close fight for a position
Let me know if you need a less fancy windage tray built lol.

The old engine did have the high volume oil pump mod
