Landwasser Viaduct near Filsur in Switzerland

The Landwasser Viaduct of the Rhaetian Railways Albula line is situated near the village of Filisur. The impressive bridge with six arches is an architectural marvel and a must for a trainspotter.
The viaduct was constructed in the years 1901 and 1902 over the river Landwasser in canton of the Grisons (German: Graubünden). The bridge is 65 meters (213 ft) high and 142 meters (466 ft) long. In 2009 the viaduct underwent renovation work.
In the first part of this film you can see the Landwasser Viaduct from below. You can get there with the Landwasser Express tourist train from Filisur railway station or follow the hiking trail signs.
In the second part of this video we visit the southern viewpoint. Walking distance from Filisur railway station is about 30 minutes.
If you travel with the train from Chur to St. Moritz the speaker will announce the Landwasser Viaduct. I think it is more impressive to see the bridge and the train from the viewpoints.
