  • This new credit card news is big trouble for Wells Fargo.
    In a recent news article by Wall Street Journal, It stated Wells Fargo has been losing a reported $10 million per month due to their co-branded credit card with Bilt.
    The article suggests their may be big trouble brewing between Wells Fargo and Bilt regarding the Bilt credit card.
    I decided to dive further into an article recently posted on Pymnts regarding this new credit card news.
    In this video, I go over the article, as well as give my opinion on the relationship between Bilt and Wells Fargo.
    There are certain things to be expected when there’s a relationship with co-branded credit card partners and I discuss those things in this video.

    Business is Business. I do have the Built card but I only have it for the transfer partners. I don't rent so I earn Built points slowly. I can see 2029 being the last year that Wells distributes the Built card.
    Like you said, this happens. Don't forget Goldman Sachs also is getting rid of the Apple Card. Partnerships don't always workout

    Great video Nell. At the end of the day WF will not lose money in the long run. I can see as part of renegotiation with BILT change program terms, I.e. establish minimum amount spend as a qualifier to 5 transactions per month, minimum spend on rent as qualifier for rent day promo, etc.

    Too good to be free. Either lose value of the points or reduce benefits in the future if they insist no annual fee.

    Is that actual/bottom line 10M loss or a shortfall on projections which is a paper loss.
