- I decide to move the welder into the basement workshop so I can work on it at night, and out of the blazing sun. Decided to let my oldest help me lower it down the stairs. Had one slight mishap, could of been much worse........as you'll see.
Unless your welder repair skills are more refined than moving the unit, your way over your head.
Boy Steve the boys have grown since I met them. I was thinking maybe you need to build a gantry over the bulkhead. That was a close call, been there done that.Well have a good time researching the new toy.
Thanks Doug. only way the wife would let me put a gantry there would be if I said it was to get rid of all my toys... ...and I'm not ready to do that.
Hey man, I have the same exact welding machine. I’m trying to replace the weld gun but I need help. Can you help?
we have several of those big welding outlets in the sawmill I work in.
Steve, if those drive rollers are reversed so you have one .035 and one .040 they would tend to slip on the wire giving the burn back symptom you described.
Cheers Eric
Imagine if they pulled this unit out of service just because some kid put one roller in backwards! Part 3 coming real soon.
Hi Steve I believe that only a short stout spring is missing from the hub holding the roll of welding wire the blue plug is a European standard that has now proliferated throughout the world blue being 230v yellow 120v red 400v orange US specific 230v split phase they ALWAYS have ground they come in single and three phase with and without neutral
other colours cover low voltages or other frequencies your brother in law must refer to the 3 phase no neutral red plug on reefer containers that travel by rail and sea I also left a comment on your last welder video
good luck getting the welder running again
Thanks. Reefer containers? ??
+Steve Watroba refrigerated. it just hit me lol
No schematic or parts list? Last time I had a birds nest, half an hour to get most of the wires back, PIA.
