- My friend let me know about a ‘mother load’ collection of about 200,000 baseball cards at a thrift store, so my brother and I went to check it out.
Check out the video, see what I offered for it, and please subscribe!
Would you have bought the motherload? How much would you have offered?

As always, love the video, and thank you for posting it for us. The "Traveling" videos are always fun and informative. Thank you
Thank you for what you to and showing us so we can stroll down memory lane with ya!!
Really enjoy your content. It's amazing to watch your brother and you share your love for cards.
Thank you for the reminiscing! I started in 1980 collecting before collecting cards was really big. I was 12 then and man, looking at the highlights of your finds, I found myself saying "I have that one, I have that one, Mine is in better shape, I have that one" lol.
Really great box of 70’s cards. Love the 1971 and 1975 cards. My son and I are One card away from finishing the 1971 set and then we are going to build the 1975 set.
Pretty much every card in this video would make great kindling for a fire pit! Great Video! Love the actual live searching! Very entertaining! Subscribed!
Love you videos I always watch them as soon as they come out keep up the good work
Erik that was SO cool man! I have been looking for those years myself but they are not easy to find for me! That was really fun to watch you go through those cars and see all the old cards! The Rod Carew was awesome, big Carew fan. Great video!
It's been a while since a collection video. LOVE IT!
KingArthur Baseball yes!!
Awesome stuff I like watching these kind of videos
Great video! Look forward to these every day!
That was a pretty awesome box of vintage cards. Nice find!
That's a lot of cards! The hunt is always fun but I've noticed most big collections like that have already been picked through.
That was fun and worth the wait. Thanks Jabs.
Nice finds in that box of 70s cards, especially the Lou Brocks!
That is a cool bin of 70s and 80s cards you bought. Good price on the 68 Clemente league leaders card!
That’s a fun bunch of cards, nice! Would like to have seen the rest showing on the screen!
Always fun going through 70's & 80's cards..
That’s lot of nice Football cards... that was Steve Largents Rookie
yup i noticed that too !
Love the fact that you can chase that whole pallet. So much time to go thru but what a thrill.
i love how honest you are erik!
My eyes bugged out when you showed the stack of football cards from the 1970s. There were some terrific finds in that stack!
Take care of yourself and your family.
that was a great find in finding the 1970's star cards and some of the 1950's and 1960's cards
Love those Munson cards, I've been toying with PC'ing him for some time...right after I finish my Jeter PC!
Wow. That's a great find! Sweet older stuff
Wow very nice 70's cards love the all nolan Ryan's and ur two Roberto Clemente cards, if u ever decide to get rid of the football cards I collect those too, thanks for the video Jabs 😎🇺🇸
Awesome buy on that tub dude!! That '76 Brett is tuff to find in good condition. Carlton traded from '72 is sweet also.
Check out the 1974 Willie Stargell. It's at 27:11 The original owner whited out the "outfield" and wrote in "1st Base" with a pen. That's exactly what a kid my age (at the time) would have done. LOL
Some of those, particularly the 1980 cards, look like they’re in Incredible shape
Too cool, glad to see some older cards reenter circulation.
How can a man who buys cases of Fairfield re-packs refuse to buy 1,000,000 early 80's cards???
Ok, but would you buy cases of Fairfield re-packs or Topps High Tek?
Wow that’s a lot of cards
It's his money. Its none of our business how a man spends his money.
I couldn't agree more. Too many hours to sort and search. At what point is it worth the labor? The cards I've found like this are always picked through anyway, the stars left behind by the original owner are usually in poor conditions.Few collectors, except beginners perhaps, want mid-late 1980s early 90s cards anymore, that's why they end up in Thrift Stores.
I'm starting to truly appreciate cards from the 60s and 70s
You can always give those trashy cards to big brothers and sisters, some kids will love them?
My wife and I stop in there at least once a month! Nice find!
That was a great score for 22 bucks! Great allstars and notables in alright condition. As a starter in 70s collecting that is a great surprise!
Nice score! I really like that Willie Stargell. May have to send some of my doubles I have to you, maybe get that Stargell
another fine video, looking forward to payday, so i can order the new packs :D. lokking forward to your next video :D and keep it up
Amazing video!!! That is awesome you got all that once again great video
Nice baseball cards and football cards! You did good with both!!
That guy did seem eager to see what was in the boxes. That musta made his job a bit easier. Feel better. Keep up the great work.
Cool video and love the box of 70s cards
Nice find with the Clemente’s! It’d be nice if they let you buy a couple/few of those other boxes vs the whole lot for $1800. Great vid!
great video , some nice older cards another successful adventure
That tub of janky cards was well worth the $22! Lots of HOFers, both baseball & football, I would have loved to find that on a hunt. Way to keep your eyes wide open. Thanks for posting.
You got quite a few cards that are on the Show 18. Super cool.
I would've loved to find that tub! Sweet score!
I bought a tub like that a few weeks ago, and found TONS of vintage football and baseball stars and Hall of Famers, though not in good shape, of course. I'm going to use them for through the mail autographs. There are several guys who sign through the mail for $5 - $10.
Old timer here,..I'm so tired of the overproduced years, most commons, & damaged, banged corners, edge wear, and creased cards that one day I'm just going to purge my whole collection down to mint stars & sets only (on the 1975 & up cards). One day when you walk into the thrift store by me you'll see a whole isle of my rejects and I guarantee you'll not find one card worth more than 5 bucks, but lots of them will have book prices of !0, $20, $50.00 or more. Too many people don't understand that in today's "mint only" market that the big buyers, the hard cash paying collector no longer wants a damaged card in his collection anymore. Many will not even look at a 1986 to 1993 unopened box, at any price over 5 bucks each. The 1980s brought me into collecting, the 1990s amazed me with the clever inserts, the 2000s awed me with Relics and Signed cards and the 2010s taught me the value of PSA 10 graded vs non graded nrmt. The money is in graded cards kids. Don't bother with the rest. Except complete sets from the pre 1980 era,
harrelson and koosman bring back super memories to a long time met fan. my dad took me to a game even before they played at shea
Awesome score! I’ve been posting all over up here in Alaska in search of Baseball cards in different place. It’s really hard and when you do find them, they are way over priced and hard to bargain
Hey Erik! Another great video!
Nice haul! I'm a Tigers fan and you pulled some nice ones.
Nice pick ups!! To bad that pallet didn’t work out but you did good with this bin
Nice pickup with the older cards, to bad that huge bundle didn't have all older cards!!!
Man, I wish I could find deals like this around here.
Nice! Those Largent football cards are worth a little bit!
Please patent your ball-trick telescope stick grabber! You will make a million dollars! Its that good of a idea! It will change the ball hawking community forever, you will be a legend
After reading the title, when I saw all those cards, I tought they were all 70s cards!
If I saw that collection in person I would be drooling over the counter
That trip looked like it was a tiring experience. But you did check it out. Thanks
That's so many cards. Must've taken forever to go through. I was looking through a 10 cents box at a store recently and somehow like an hour and a half had gone by
Holy geez, I'd buy in a heartbeat if my wife wouldn't find them. No room as it is with two little ones running around. Great find, dude.
I bought a guys collection last weeke d for 400 dollars. my whole truck was full of cards and boxes and bins. he hadx some nice pete rose cards and a griffey and montana rookie, those cards were almost worth what I paid for all of it. Im going through it watching your videos.
That was a sick Clemente card from 67
Well played reaching over counters and tearing boxes open!
They wanted $1800 for that massive mound of 80's junk cards-- LMAO! They should have taken your $200 and run with it. Would have included free haul-away by you guys!
WOW! In my dreams I do this with boxes of hockey cards all the time! Musta been awesome!
Nice find, you got some really good cards.
Hey Erik, Some decent cards I seen in the Football lot are the 77 Largent is a Rookie (Last time I looked it up, it Booked for $50), The 77 Lynn Swann is his Last Card from his Playing Days (Due to a Dispute with Topps I believe) That books for $25 last I checked. and the 78 Walter Payton is $20-$25 I think. Of course there Mid Grade but anyways, You have an idea. The rest of the Football are in the $2-$5 range Roughly. 57 Herzog is a HOF Rookie. George Kell, Great TTM Grapher up until he passed. The 2 old Team Cards are from the 1957 Topps set.
Been up in Phoenix this weekend. I went to a few shops. Found a few cards to send you
It would take my days to go through all of those cards but it would be so much fun to go through them
Largent rookie and 2nd! Nice!
I laughed when he said “1989 topps rack pack, that’s cool!!”
A.D. It is cool if you remember them. Nostalgia.
Really starting to love vintage cards...
Started off slow ended off with major pop glad u found some gems
Eeeks ziploc bag, and thrown in a storage box!!!!!
🎶 Insert Jeopardy theme song here 🎶 I'll take "Run Away" for $200 , Alex.
Wowww, what treasures in that box, despite the rubber bands!!!
I believe the 1973 goose gossage is his rookie, sweet lot of 70's cards.
I was on a flight with Goose recently but did not realize it until I was at the bag pickup. He must have been heading to the Hall of Fame for some event during the induction weekend. I had been at an Oakland game while traveling out west and had an A's ball. Unfortunately his bag came and he left before my bag arrived on the belt. Such is the case with so many things. Several years ago I was picking my nephew up at the airport and Wade Boggs walked past me while I was looking for my nephew. You never know who you'll see at the airport.
I found the whole 81 Topps set for $8 at my local flea market, damn good condition too
i remember watching them all play when i was a kid good score
nice vintage baseball cards amazing find
Love the vids keep up the good work
that was a lot of great cards-i love the football cards also

It's good they were actually organized so you new what box was what
that clemente alone was well worth the 3 bucks. i have that set. really nice design
Awesome finds
You could send them to your Patreons!! I certainly would not complain!
John 3Sport food idea
I like the MJ frame! i should collect some of his baseball cards
enjoy all ur flea market an breaks
A diamond find of the 1968 Roberto Clemente '67 Batting Leaders in an otherwise cowpie of a bag with banged up football and hockey. That was a motherload of boxed cards but seemed high priced at $1800. I like the bin of cards but cringe when people use rubber bands to bind them.
Hi o love your channel .I used to collect in late 80s and when I was.a child in the ,60s
I wondered what you are going to do with the football and hockey no cards. Also do you ever come across old hockey cards like 60-70. Look forward to your next vid thanks Patrick.
Thrift stores in Australia are call op shops(opportunity shops). I definitely haven't found a pallet of cards in them though. Not worth the money they are asking, but cool to see anyway. At least the trip wasn't a total bust.
There are some nice cards in that bin!
I have a mint 1968 topps #1 just got it 2 days ago that's funny that you got it at like the same time haha.
Nice find on the Clemente!
I went to our local thrift store the other day. I'm the "local Financial Advisor"....so, I avoid the store (possible clients seeing me at a thrift store?). Anyway, I was blown away by the amazing items that I found for little to no money! I found a number of Nike Polo type shirts that still had the price tags on them, they were selling for $0.99 each ! You're talking about shirts that run $30 - $60 new!! I also found a number of vintage items 4 ridiculously low prices! I've come to the general conclusion, we live in the most wasteful country on planet Earth ! People often buy things, or receive gifts, and never ever use the item ! Instead of trying to sell it on eBay or even a garage sale, they just simply donate it to be done with it. Needless to say, I will be going to that thrift store a lot more often!
Most people shopping at thrift stores don't have financial advisors. But that being said if you're an advisor worth anything then you'd know thrift stores are a good place TO SAVE MONEYYYY! And if any potential customers saw you they'd probably think "this guy likes to save money, he'd make a good financial advisor. I'm choosing him." Just a question are you under the age of $25?
@@JerkyJones100- no, I'm in my forties. Our thrift store has volunteers...there's a few of those ladies that are very good clients (have a lot of $$ with me). Yes, I've reached a point where I kinda don't care. I love saving money on items that I use or wear all the time!!
The Walter Payton 1978 books for. $25
Oh man that Walter Payton was sweet
Love this
The Steve Largent was his rookie!!
@@JesseBookout Thanks just saw that. I hope he didn't just throw out all of those football cards.
