With over 20 movies and counting making up the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we’ve seen so many of our favorite superheroes on the big screen. From Captain America’s superhuman strength to Captain Marvel’s photon blasts, we’ve also seen plenty of incredible powers on display, but despite all of this, comic book fans are still waiting to see how some powers will be used in the MCU. Today, we’re going to take a look at some superpowers MCU characters have, but for some reason, never use.
Captain Marvel is known for having some absolutely ridiculous powers. In fact, Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, said that she’s the most powerful character in the entire MCU. We’ve seen some of those powers on display in her standalone movie, specifically when she punched a spaceship, but believe it or not, she has even more powers that make her stronger.
Iron Man is known for not having any superpowers in the MCU, even though being a genius probably is one, but for a short time in the comics, he did have a power that may surprise you and, of course, it involves his Iron Man suit and advanced tech. Even Thor has a secret power that may very well make him every linguist’s best friend and don’t get us started on some of these other powers that, if used, could’ve changed the MCU forever.
There are so many other unused superpowers our favorite superheroes have, so enjoy the video and don’t forget to subscribe to CBR for more MCU content.

I have a note for this, Going back to the Hulk, one thing is abundantly clear: In Age of Ultron, Wanda didn't mess with the Hulk, she messed with Banner's head instead. When the Hulk came out and "attacked an entire city" it was pure, unchecked Hulk, Banner was out of the equation. This is why after the second battle of Sokovia, The Hulk was In control for 2 years before Banner resurfaced again. When Wanda messed with Banner's head she broke his connection with The Hulk, whereas before they both were sharing control, afterwards Hulk made his own decisions (which is why he refused to fight in Infinity War).

I'm surprised they didn't mention Captain America's decelerated aging (he should NOT have become an old man at the end of the movie, since he ages MUCH slower than regular humans.) And I'm also surprised they didn't mention the obvious Hulk's high speed regeneration, he's not just durable, but just like Wolverine he can heal fast restoring nearly all damaged tissue (including viruses and diseases), and thus the Infinity Gauntlet should NOT have rendered his arm permanently unusable, since it can heal and possibly regrow. Also, since Thor's new axe (Stormbreaker) has the power to summon the Bifrost, allowing him to go anywhere in the universe. However, ignoring the fact that the bifrost was destroyed on Asgard, he still seems to need a ship to travel anywhere, even places he's already been to (though this could be because of a number of different plot devices, so I won't stress it too much). Also, if Doctor Strange's sling ring was able to bring them to the battlefield from Titan, then why was he unable to get everyone back home when they were stuck on the ship in Infinity War? I mean, he's already shown he can use in different dimensions, off world, and on moving objects...

@Dillon Brunschon Alternate timelines are the one dumb thing about Marvel that can seriously screw with your mind. No other media ever really uses the concept of time travel creating alternate realities and stuff other than Marvel; and they only do it so they can retcon stuff or to escape actually fixing heroes' problems.

You could do an entire list of just Drax's abilities that aren't in the MCU, seeing as how they completely changed his character lol.Originally
    - Superhuman Strength, Stamina, and Resistance to Physical Injury (to a much higher degree than in the MCU
    - Flight
    - Project Concussive Blasts of Cosmic Energy...simular to Captain Marvel
    - Travel at high speeds in Outer Space and Hyperspace without air, food, or water
    - Telepathy strong enough to engage Thanos in a psychich battle and stalemating him mind to mind
    After Resurrection
    - Superhuman Strength, Stamina, and Resistance to Physical Injury was greatly enhanced even further but is mental ability and intelligence were badly damaged
    - Lost his telepathy but gained the ability to sense Thanos or any being that has been in contact with Thanos anywhere in the Universe
    - Precognitive ability to sense when any being would become in contact with Thanos in the near future
    - And of course in the comics he was weilded the Power Stone without any help to increase his strength to comparable levels of the Hulk
    Later Abilities
    - Intelligence and Physical abilities returned to pre-Ressurection levels
    - Lost energy projection, flight, and all psionic capabilities
    - Precognition now only allowed the moments of his own death
    - Gain ability to pass through Thanos's force fields
    - Also his power levels increased the closer he comes to Thanos
    - Gained accelerated healing
    - Enhanced senses strong enough to tell humans from aliens just by smell and could even sense a Skrull in disguise and detect energy weapons before they went off

    • @craigjomaia

True, MCU borrows a lot more from the Ultimate Marvel universe than 616, from the Triskelion and black Nick Fury, to Hawkeye and the Widow being current S.H.I.E.L.D operatives, even younger Aunt May. And the lowered (somewhat) power levels are part of that too. The first Avengers movie was pretty much the first Volume of The Ultimates with some cosmetic changes.

@@jonathanschaffer2594 most people I know dislike the actress for captain marvel but the character was poorly written in the movie. Ms.Marvel as she used to be called was one of my personal favorite characters but Brie Larson does not do her justice. Her acting was terrible in the movie with her bipolar emotions either too much emotion or too little, her choreography was terrible but that could be the cuts they choose to use for filming, and the feminist leaning of the movie was irritating. Captain Marvel uses brute force to solve her problems and is incredibly arrogant and aggressive. These are traits most people find funny when it's a male character because they are usually shown to be inept, but when captain marvel does it there is no joke to show why its dumb to act that way. Instead she is praised for values most people find unnattractive in most human beings. Every other MCU character has to overcome a personal flaw before they are a hero but captain marvel is written so that she was perfect to start with and had no flaws, therefore she had to overcome her enemies she didn't have to overcome her own failures like every other character did.

Disclaimer: I know the video was made pre- Endgame (the Ronin segment was in the trailers).
    1. Endgame shows how powerful Captain Marvel is. Thanos did not put a dent in her physically. But he gave her a pretty good Power-stone gut-punch. She felt it. Arguably, she showed a glimpse of Seventh Sense when she didn't flinch as Stormbreaker was summoned very close to her. You might argue she just wasn't afraid of being hit by Stormbreaker. I assert she might have known it wasn't going to hit her.
    2. Nano-tech is a non-starter. We already see him use it in Infinity War to patch himself when Thanos impales him.
    5. Hulk can resist mind-control to calm him, but that's not what Wanda did. She triggered him and let him rage.
    8. Black Panther's ability could come into play in either Multiverse of Madness or the reboot of Blade.
    13. All you're complaining about is the application of a power, not the existence of a new or unused power.
    14. Falcon was actually a mutant, and that's likely why his power was not included in the MCU.
