I went to a good spot put my sticks up climb the tree and went to screw in a hanger and that was the hardest tree to get that thing started lmao. I was soaked in sweat by the time I was settled

What would you guys plant in a shady area with no machinery? I have a small spot that the deer love and Im trying to get them to stay in the area longer through out season.

I am having a bit of trouble following you guys in terms of your hunting. It sounds like you are primarily hunting with outfitters. If this is the case, what is the primary element of preparation in that scenario? Is it aligning hunt times with rut phases and weather forecasts or are those hunt times set and you just hunt the week that you have scheduled, no matter the weather? Or do you have some latitude with the outfitters you associate with? Good luck this fall.

@@richarddean3154 I hunt permission farm in SC and Ohio, personal farm in Kansas (or lease), lease in Kentucky, and if I go to Alberta by law it had to be a hunter host or outfitter….Intel and weather 100% are the deciding factors on when I where

@@JoeMilesMWT Thank you for the clear response. I have often wondered how persons who primarily hunt using outfitters manage the dates and locations of those hunts, given the circumstance of other clients, the phase of season, weather conditions, and travel considerations. Intel and weather are smart reasons to decide where and when to go. Thanks again and good luck this fall.

MOMENTUM from the Bear setup you committed on is greater than the MOMENTUM at 5 yards from your light setup you were talking about.
MOMENTUM is key at the animal impact .(Lethality)
Speed, trajectory, kinetic measurements of the arrow/bow combo are red herrings in the debate we've experienced recently.
    Jus sayin

@@todlew3238 completely disagree….speed, trajectory and KE are SUPER important when hunting whitetail……the last 11 animals I have shot in the past 60 days were with a 470 grain arrow and that includes a 2,200 pound water Buffalo
