I'm considering the Pact timer. I like the idea of the lifetime warranty.

For a basic workhorse of a timer, the regular pocket pro is great.

Just listened to Practical Shooting After Dark Episode 8, which is multi-time practical shooting champion Ben Stoeger's podcast. Listener question about timers on the episode, and everyone on the podcast preferred either the Pocket Pro or the Pocket Pro 2.

ive had nothing but bad experiences with the pocket pro. construction is really bad and the electronics inside are basic level soldered. if you pull on the battery just a tad harder than normal the wires will seperate and then its downhill from there. mine also had a battery chow malfunction. for the first 3 years it would eat a 9v battery within 2 weeks. i was going crazy. so I had to remove the battery when not using it. just horrible

Nice to show whats out there, but buyers should read the reviews on amazon to get some actual data on how well each one works.

I got a PP2 brand new. It has the shittiest electronic design ever. Start button malfunctioned because of non-supported pressure on the start button on pcb card. Returning asap... Pact forever... CED is unreasonably expensive, you pay higher for ced yet you need to pay extra for a belt clip... nope sir, you can't take my hard earned money that easy...

This thing is so unfriendly to the user. The setup is way more complicated than it need to be. If I had my time over, I would not purchase it. There are no decent vids on the net on easily setting it up. Disapointed!
