What is the versus mode like, is it multiplayer and can you play as the hybrid monsters?
Correct but you can't play "Versus Mode" unless you own a secondary N64 controller
Yes if you manage to defeat all 40 creatures in the main story after clearing the game saved once you can have all creatures unlocked even your character's level attribute will still be saved in multi-player mode
Assuming you have the time and a second controller, do you think you could eventually make a video of vs more with all characters?
