Mick said this song came to him at 3 am apparently from "a higher power". Just as Lou Gram was to begin recording the final cut for this song a beautiful woman appeared in the studio apparently out of nowhere. Lou said her presence was a great motivator for this final version of the song. Upon completion the beautiful woman was gone?!
Kelly you have an incredible voice and if I had never heard Lou Gramm sing that song you would have been the voice going down in history. I’m glad that your able to continue the great songs of Foreigner.

You do know that this singer is not who did it originally, right? As much he *sounds* like Lou Gramm and does a great job, Mr. Gramm had incredible inflection and phrasing.

Feels good to hear this again. Churns up old forgotten memories when this song came out when I was 15 and recorded it on our VCR from Good Rockin Tonight or Video Hits. Give Kelly credit where credit is due. He pulls it off vocally and emotionally.

This song was number 1 all over the world because the original lead vocalist Lou Gramms voice made it famous. Lou could bring tears to you eyes when he sang this song...Lou had soulful voice filled with so much emotion. This man is good but will never touch the famous voice of Lou Gramm. Lou could sing the house down and bring you to your knees.....His voice almost operatic in nature and he had a range and vocals that were unbelievable......when that choir sang with Lou you felt like you were in Church...After Lou went through brain surgery in 1997 to save his life and then was able to sing it again years later...It was emotional for Lou and anyone else listening. God Bless Lou Gramm

Your statement is true regarding how Lou felt about the song . It is not documented anywhere that the band broke up because of his feelings about the song. My statements concerned the successfulness of the song. Lou Graham had one of the best rock voices in Rock and Roll history. This ballad will stand the test of time. Here it is 2017 and there is proof of that as we are still listening to it today. Thank you for your comment. At the height of his career Lou could sing the phone book and it would become a hit. It is a blessing that his dislike of the song did not interfere with its success.
