Gentlemen. As I wind my way farther from the start and closer to the end of this walk of life, one of my best pleasures is to dig through this site looking for good versions of the songs that make up the soundtrack of that stroll. And there are many. The search has taken me across the country, and all around the world. It never ceases to amaze me how many talented people out there are willing to share their gifts with all of us. This song is one of the best I have found. Now, I'm no expert in anything...except what sounds right to me, and I don't believe I have ever heard anything that sounds more right to me. It is sublime. Thank you.

This brought me to tears.
This was my dads song for me.
He would sing it to me all through the years, especially in hard times like my first heartbreak, to the time my husband battled cancer.
He sang this song to my beautiful baby daughter as she slept in his arms just like he did to me.
Then as my dad took his last breaths it was my daughter and I that sang it to him. Thank you for loving us daddy. Ox

@@scottdann5736 Yes. My father was special man indeed. I wish we got to have him longer but cancer took him from us to soon. 61 to be exact 😢. But we have these precious memories that will last us a lifetime ❤.

I listened to the Bee Gees version of this song back in the late 60s at the age of 16-l loved it then and l love it now. To my surprise, Water and Rust turn out the best version of "To love somebody" to date. The extra lyrics ( I can't see nobody, my eyes can only look at you)", the great harmonies, the violin etc, make this version of this song my favorite. If they perfect their skills, even more, there is no telling how far they could go.
I liked it so much I was trying to remember who did it originally. When I remembered I was even more impressed
