Thank you for making such a beautiful video about one of the most iconic and beloved characters of FFVII. I really appreciate your take on Vincent, and your editing is excellent.
You're welcome! I had a lot of fun making this video and getting to uncover as much as I can with Vincent. Hopefully Rebirth will give us more insight and development to his character.
Great video! I agree. He needs more character building. As someone who has studied him for years, he is very intriguing and has a lot to offer. But they are all so obscure. Casual fans will not know those attributes. For example, Vincent has exceptionally strong will as opposed to Cloud. They are alike yet opposite. Vincent in AC admits to visiting the pool where Aerith was laid to rest. He also goes out of his way to get a phone and only really talks to Cloud through it. Those attributes shows his soft side. Yet again it is hardly noticed.
On the topic of Vincent being the fathet: I will say that if Vincent was indeed the father, they would have said so in DoC. Secondly, it really doesnt add anything for Vincent to be the father. If anything, it just makes Hojo more innocent and makes Vincent a jerk. I think what does add more to Vincent’s character is that he takes pity on Sephiroth, even though he is the son of his worst enemy. Now that speaks more to Vincent being selfless. Now I wouldnt put it past Hojo artificially using Vincent’s cells anf Rebirth could go that route. But they have always confirmed Hojo as the father. Frankly makes Hojo way more disgusting.
