    After the video of Levi´s 501 150th Ann, I decide to make a video about the shrinkage, also I promise to try the size 34 but to not be redundant I attach the link for the original video were I try the size 34.

    Thank you for the detailed video🙂 But the back patch is not leather, it does look very much so though. You could tell by taking a good look at its backing and the cross section, it is too uniform for the leather. It took three cold water soaks for my two pairs to settle on shrinkage. 2 inches for overall length altogether, the first one was obviously the largest with subsequent soaks adding a little each. The forth soak was a wash, no pun intended.

      @@UrbanLadUK In the EU-version the back patch is definitively real leather, it's even written on the care label. And thank you UrbanLadUK for the great review, it was spot on, these jeans are very nice, especially for true Levi's fans. Your enthusiasm and passion for denim can be seen clearly from your videos, keep up the good work!

    Really nice detailed review. You covered the sizing and fit and construction in a useful way. I had a pair of the stf salvage 501 and noticed that they were like the boxier 1955 model.

    These are a steal. Picked up 2 pairs myself for $60 each. As crazy as this sounds, I believe the construction may be superior to my Made in Japan LVC's.

    Thanks, those precision really help me to buy mine (in my regular waist size). You should do a resume on the difference from an Original 501, the washed 1947, 1955, 1966, 150th... And your final tought on wearing them for day to day. Would like to try a LVC, but the current fit on the Original cut 501 in regular, Premium (non stretch) and selvedge are really easy fit to live in.
    Edit; Those 150th in 34 are the exact same size and mesures of the "36" LVC 1966, except the 150th have a higher rise of 1/2-3/4 inch. Both look similar quality.

      Careful not washing jeans for more than 6 months can increase crotch blow outs. The dirt and bacteria on jeans is abrasive.

    in the beginning of January, this model was on very good sale in us, somehow i was able to get couple pairs of them, for 44.37$ with tax(each)
    First one i bought about 8 months ago was 34x32 (for 78$) do not fit me well and after a couple of washes inseam shrink and its look short for me, i thik i’ll sell them
    On sale i get couple of them 33x34 much better, its baggy at the beginning but they shrink, should be better with time,
    because all experience before i have with 501 stf when i usually go with my size, after 1.5-2 years i can not put them on literally )) was so tight,
    So for people who say they dont shrink, you need to go minimum plus one size
    People say here they dont shrink, wait )))

    • @UrbanLadUK
      @UrbanLadUK  Před 5 měsíci +1

      HI!! They do shrink but in my experience not as much the LVC edition. In the LVC edition I need 36x34 as minimal ideally 38x36 (I relay in the stretch), but with this edition I test 36 and 34 and they shrieked but not that much, between 34 and 36, I have stayed with 34, because they are larger in measuraments too, the 34 was loose on me. I believe it is both things not that much shrinkage and larger measurements.

    How do you get Levi’s coupons? A size 33 in regular shrink to fit ended up too tight on me after a bunch of washes. Should I go size 34 on these or do they fit larger than regular shrink to fit? I’m a size 33 w but I usually fit in size 31 w for Levi. 32 is usually a touch big.

      Hi, I have a club card from my profession that gives me a discount also here in the UK there are sales online and in mortar brick outlets at Levi’s you can find good bargains, with the 150th anniversary buy your normal size, the LVC version 1 size up and the Chinese cotton and hemp probably one size up too

    I personally bought the 34x34 and were actually 36x34 and couldn't imagine shrinking enough to fit well, they were huge. I returned them and bought 32x34, still a little loose pre shrinking but should shrink down nicely I think. I measured my waist and im a little over 34 so im jot sure whats with Levi's sizing on these?

    • @UrbanLadUK
      @UrbanLadUK  Před 5 měsíci +1

      To my surprise, the shrinking of this model is not much. Usually, I’m size 34 in Levi’s, and I was advised to buy 36 in this model and after soaking the fitting is on the loose side that's why I bought size 34 too

      Yes definitely one to buy, try and return if necessary. I love the jeans, they are great especially for the price but glad I decided to size down, I don't think I would feel so good about them if I kept the original pair.

    I just ordered a pair on eBay. Is there a way to slow down the shrinking? Would cold water slow down the shrinking?

    • @UrbanLadUK
      @UrbanLadUK  Před 4 měsíci +1

      If you wash them in the washing machine using a cold cycle and wool program, with no spin, and let them dry in a hanger probably, you are going to minimise the shrinkage; if you are worried about shrinkage, wear the jeans without washing or soaking
