  • Well, the Van is out of action but the Journey continues, Dennis creates a new category for the day and turns a walk into a bike ride. It's just the same but a rebadged format to keep up with the schedule. After the hustle and bustle of the retirement village that is Weston, the mare continues up the first Hill of the day, with a rugged ride off-road ride, arriving at Loxton Hill trig with hidden views of Somerset. Following a slimmed down Picnic of 2000 calories, its off downhill narrowly avoiding a wipeout. The next hill is the big one, so why not do it twice - idiot alert! Finally, with Wavering energy, has Dennis mis calculated the ride home or is it just a massive detour to a Timothy Taylor's pub…….

That first trig you bagged is one I've never quite had the balls to bag, because it is ever so slightly on private land! Looks like it's worth it though. I've known others get there without incident. Hope your van's okay after all those miles. Carvertarians is a brilliant term for the common Sunday walker! 😀

Thanks Olly, Van is back in service and the journey continues!. I’ve seen you do a lot of exploring yourself, Have you any recommendations for future Trigs I should do? 👍😎

@@NorthbySouthwest Best one I've done this year is Shoulsbury Castle on Exmoor. No video of it and a bit of a challenge to get to. It was also my first of the year.
Closer to home, maybe Nyland Hill. See if you can find the one down at Steart Marshes (though not a hill in sight).

@@WalksWithOlly Ah yes, I’ve done the Wall Common trig at Steart, I’m thinking of doing some wild camping for the Exmoor & Quantock trigs to add a bit more of a challenge 👍
