I've been building up these for over 5 years and I've gotta say for a "cheap" gun it's reaallly easy to dump 500-700 into one of these little buggers! I've built customs that have broke 840fps in.22, at a cost of $740, and I love them!

Awesome. I am modding and upgrading a 2240 right now and sky is the limit on these pistols. I can see how you spent that much already. I’m halfway there. I have an older 1377, I polished all the parts to chrome so I may change out the Barrel and Tube and fit on the 2240. Ordered brass parts off EBay

My brother had one as a kid in the early 80s. Took a coupla cottontails ! I enjoy high end springers, finally bought a 1322 last year. What a hoot ! A trigger polish, a piston tweak, dot sight..... I love it and glad Crosman brought these back into production awhile back. Great review !

A 1377 got me hooked on airguns years ago. I had no idea what a rabbit hole I was going down. : )
It’s my favorite daily shooter. I have a dot sight, a Steve Corcoran pump handle and some wood grips.
Ive split playing cards with my 1322. I have probably around 10000 shots in a few years and never had any problems. Best airgun for the $ .
Mine is from the 1970s (second edition) and still cranking fine. May have lost a bit of steam over the years, but still brings down squirrels and remains accurate.
How many pumps for squirrels?
@@johnwhodat8135 10 pumps. Used to be 7. If it sits after pumping, it loses steam. Needs to be rebuilt but it's good enough for now.
I like how he holds the breech while pumping, as opposed to most people who hold by the grip. I think this reduces wear and tear, and i suppose easier to pump too.
Noticed the Crosman 2021 catalog includes the 2289. Would love to see a review of that! Not too much different but it’s just not always available.

Rick, I picked up a mount off eBay from a seller in Michigan,, for dot sight. Clamps solid. I believe it's 3D printed and set screws added. I don't regret buying one.

Had that pistol for years now . It a great gun to mod. I got one with a extra stock. Under 20 yards it is dead on.i think crosman is adding a pump rifle onto this platform. If it come in soon hope you get to review it. If i can put on a steel breach, i will most likely add it to my gun safe.

The Crosman pumpers have always been a fun beginners pistol. I've had two. I wish they still came with the steel breech and a STANDARD dovetail rail. The plastic breech is just ok. Fiber optic sights would be an welcome needed improvement! Routing for Crosman/Benjamin Co.

That blister pack actually pulls right open without tools/shears. Good storage case.
I still have my Crosman Medalist 1322 my pops bought me in 1986 i was 8 years old.
The h&n pellets work really good in it the barracudas 21 grain baracuda pellets out of my 22
I recently received my Crossman 1322 from Pyramid Air. Your video was helpful in making this choice.
I did notice one slight inaccuracy in your video. During the accuracy testing you said to adjust
windage with the rear sight to loosen the retaining screw and push the sight left or right.
It is not a set screw. The rear sight uses a single through and through attachment screw.
So you loosen the screw and you twist the rear sight left or right to adjust windage.
If you look closely where the front of the sight sits on the pump tube you can see tiny adjustment marks.
To adjust the rear sight for elevation you loosen the VERY small phillips screw holding the elevation plate to the rear sight and slide the plate up or down. It can be flipped completely to use the notch or the peep sight.

I had one of these over 35 years ago. I just ordered one from the Crosman Custom Shop. It has a steel breach, 18" barrel and Williams adjustable sights. It's going to be fun!

36 years ago, as a kid i was the proud dutch owner of a Benjamin&Sheridan EB22 and had lot's of fun with it in the woods.

I put a red dot on my 1322 all be it a cheap plasticy gamo red dot it's been fun to play around with. I want to put a real one on soon.
I ordered the mounts from crossman. They clamp on the barrel.
I put a handgun scope on my 392 making it a scout rifle before that the same way before that. I put a piece of electrical tape between mounts and the barrel and snugged it up good. Have had no problems but I try to be careful not to bump it around much.
I'm still enjoying the qb chief that I got from you (airgun pro shop) but ready for a multi-shot soon. Thinking hard about the umarex origin and considering it in 25 cal. I'm still hand pumping.
Looking at maybe the vectis but leaning more towards the origin.
I have one question for you about the origin but I'll ask from one of your videos on it. Maybe a few days.

Thank you for another great video. Nice tests. I did get the 1322's little brother last year the 1377 and have the same experience. It has damn near match accuracy. A very unique pistol, in fact it shoots better then my 880 and is a lot less pellet fussy too. The crunch went away after some good oiling of the pump and the pumping got a fair bit lighter after well oiling all the pump arm joints. My only real gripe is the thin plastic grips.
Hollow-point Crosman premiers work really good also
The Crosman 1322 is my favorite airgun pistol.
The Daisy Powerline 35 is my favorite B•B long gun airgun.
Excellent pellet air gun. I just bought my second one. The last one lasted 10 years and used it daily. Even the 2240 22 cal. lasted also 10 years.
A steel breech and a flat top valve / piston combo with a heavier spring to expel the valves extra compressed air are the usual mods.
Just think that this video would have only been half as long if it wasn't for all that pumping! You certainly learn to make every shot count with this gun. I had one of these back in my teens and it had a glossy woodgrain-effect pump grip and quality polymer gray unbranded rifle stock fitted (not the cheap branded plastic one you get today). A stock definitely assists with pumping as you can use it as a brace. With mine you could pump it more than 10 times and get more power. Because these essentially have the same characteristics of a PCP gun, they are very loud in built-up areas so not recommended for backyard use out-of-the-box. Also a word of caution regarding safety... always load the pellet in after pumping as these can develop a fault where the gun fires during the pumping process.
Yes, the Competition Electronics chronographs are really good! 99 shot strings, easy-to-use user interface, rarely ever get that dreaded ERROR message that the shooting chrony's are famous for. The customer service is also much better than SC. They are a little bit more money, but well worth it!
I like All Crosman line up,1377,1322,2240 but I ain't gonna spend any money on upgrades,,No Siree,I am happy with the stock settings,if I can shoot a soda can at 10 meters,that's good enough for me..1322 is my favourite,it's got enough power to go trough tin can,anyway you showed it in your video..Thank You for making the video it's very informative...
I grew up with this gun I wasn't even a teen yet it was a little different than I always wished it was all black they didn't offer it than I remember when the stock came out I had to special order it before internet it was my uncle's first air gun also in the 70s there was no bolt and you had to cock it from the back and it shot bbs later on we mod a 760 barrel on it the new ones are real slim and not the greatest I bought and customized for my sister and brother kids but doesn't put out as much power. I can still here my mom she was mad me and my uncle shot about a 5 gal buck of army men with it and some of my dad's fire crackers I thought it was a blast but I never got army men again 😂 and my dad was made for using all of his fireworks. Then we move on to Legos I was band from bb guns for a year or two. Memory's thank you for bringing them back.👍👌✌️😇
I always pumped mine 10 times, didn't waste time w/less than 10 pimps.
Great little gun I just picked mine up at a Princess Auto in Ontario can for $ 85 bucks on sale from 129.99 still playing around with it but I’m sure I’ll find the right pellets for my shooting challenge after watching this great review I plan on using mine during deer season walking in the bush hopefully dinging a partridge or 2 😉👍

Just by adding a 14.5" barrell, I get 560fps on mine using crosman 14.3 hollow points.
Not bad on that trigger pull. One quick upgrade on the adjustable spring and drill a small hole for a trigger stop screw and you are set for $15.💪🏻🇺🇸

Interesting video. I have the .77 version. As a suggestion, it would be nice to see the chrony readings from 2 pumps and up in consecutive order, 2,3,4,5 and so on. I doubt that many, me included, are going to sit there and tire your arms out pumping 10 times for each shot. For me, doing target shooting, 3 or 4 pumps is fine, although I don’t know how many fps each shot would be. By the way, you forgot to tell your audience where to oil the gun. Much too much time spent on chrony readings. I doubt that most who own this gun care less about it, but interesting, nonetheless.
Bought One Several Months Ago, Put A Stock, Fourteen Inch Barrel, Steel Breach, Fiber Optic Front Sight And Williams Peep Sight On It, It Has Turned Into A Very Cool Little Carbine, Love It, Rabbits And Squirrels Beware!!! LOL😁

Great review but Crosman recommends a minimum of three pumps on all of their air guns. I've had the 1377 for 30 years and it still works, very accurate to 10 yds.

Try Buck-rail dovetail or picatinny mounts with red dot.
More power than the 760. Buck Rail makes a larger, plumper pumper. It’s also makes less noise when pumping.
The "Crosman 1322" title did not say much to me.. Butbit came pretty fast clear it was the "American Classic" pistol that I've seen before even. Good video though! Very thorough. Thanks!

I do wonder what the fps & fpe would be at sea level though. Like the percentage.
Sometime it would be neat to take a few guns, and chrono at 4600 ft, then take the same guns and chrono at sea level.
And see the true difference.
Then you could include that in your reviews.

I've done at least 12 pumps and trust me 12 pumps it has a smack to the pellet but dont push 12 pumps

This is the Canadian model, American model is up to 620fps out of the box. I live in Canada so I cant have anything over 500fps without a firearms license, but you can safely pump this 12 times and hit 490fps. Ive got the steel breach and the upsized transfer port, and a 14 inch barrel, so im getting around 560 fps if I pump it 14 times, and about 540 with 12. At stock, the Canadian model and its 460fps is still strong enough to punch a hole clean through a raccoon skull within 10 yards, trust me on that. I use the 15.6gr predator polymag shorts and ive dropped squirrels out of trees with passthrough chest shots at up to 30 yards and 12 pumps.
Also, stop dry firing the pin with no pumps, it damages the seals in this gun, and also, STOP LOADING IT BEFORE PUMPING IT.
American model for 1322 is 460 out the box. American mpdel 1377 is 620 out the box

Just curious why yo didn't use any Crosman pellets? I was just thinking Crosman gun/Crosman pellets. Especially since they are cheap and easy to find.

I am so infatuated with this Pistol. I bought a second one to add all the modifications !
Put a scope and a rifle stock on mine and using Premier 14.3 gr, .22 cal. pellets and getting 1 hole groups at 20 ft resting. One of the targets had 3 stacked on top of each other, great little gun, I do 8 pumps find that very accurate, and not to hard on the hands. do not have any thing to check the speed, it would be nice to know, what 8 pumps gets.
Is it OK to dry fire the Crossman 1322? I have read it is not suggested with springer air guns.
I am a big fan of dry firing practice.
It’s not a springer . It’s a multi-pump pneumatic. It’s ok to dry fire.

I hunt with it. Is it ok to keep it cocked? Im thinking pump it 10x and when said squirel shows up pull the bolt back and then load because its only the hammer spring you have to worry about?

2.5 lb trigger stock? 😂 mine was more like 7.5 and rough. Its now a very nice 2.25 lb with spring replacement .
FYI - FPE ( foot per pound)
*simple fact is that 300. fpe is plenty of power to kill deer-sized game but you have to be selective with your shooting and be capable of hitting your targe
*According to “Homicide Using an Air Weapon”Visit the requirement for lethality in a projectile is 58 FPE foot pounds energy, while projectiles of less energy can still be lethal should the pellets strike in key positions.
So 6.6 FPE IS BASICALLY GOOD FOR A SQUIRREL. Unless you know something I can’t Google?

My crosman is a 2289g backpacker will pumping it 12 pumps will it hurt the airgun? Airgun Angie did hers up to 12 pumps.

I don’t know why you had to use scissors to open up the blister pack. It pulls apart quite easily so that you can store your pistol back in the pack when not in use, it just snaps together. 🤔

1322's have been coming in "easy open" blister packs for a few years now, lol. You could've opened it from the back side in less than 2 seconds, without scissors.
I don't ever shoot pellet guns at a gun range hell no pellet gun meant for the backyard shooting

At any point did you realize you didn't need to cut the plastic off? I just opened mine and it was pretty obvious that it just pulls apart.
Why do you chamber before you pump?
Also add a buck rail suppressor- it makes this gun ridiculously quiet. So quiet you will giggle like a little girl.
