When I replayed TS3 and added all the packs in one at a time, this was the one I missed the most - even more than Supernatural. It really complements the base game, and I think a similar pack would really help TS4.
Welp, we're getting "Growing Together" now as an EP but I doubt it'll even come close to TS3 Generations EP.. unfortunately.
Did they just like fire the sims 3 team when creating the sims 4 or like what's up????
Yeah, pretty much all of the original Maxis team was fired (or left) early on during the sims 4

@@patrickbernardidefreitas402 If budget cut was the reason, the irony is that all the DLC in Sims 4 are much more expensive than Sim's 3 EP, even when Sims 4 content are on sale, because Sims 4's content is broken into parts.

This is most of what's missing from the sims 4. Hence why I prefer 3 over it.
Yeah the sims 4 is 100% missing this spark of life in it. This was the awesomest expansion pack I’ve ever played.
The video camera is the best thing ever. In one of my save file, I had the video of the first 2 sims married and it has been passed on through the generations sort of as a family heirloom.

The Imaginary Friend is scary. The teddy is stuck in every Sim I have inventory. It's annoying.

Anyone remember that you could break doll houses and see students inside the school in Sims 2? Omg, miss it even though i didn't play it that much.

Love this pack so much,it was so worth it, I bought it and my favorite part is pranks, water slides and video camera!!! SOO WORTH IT! and the clothing in this pack is super cute for me,I JUST LOVE THIS EXPANSION PACK!

Amy L Hi, are there new characters for each extention pack? How do the packs conbine into one game I haven't got any extentions and I'm struggling to picture how it all fits together when you go back to sims 3 base pack.
Tony Turner everything mixes together. you have all the stuff from the base game as well as the new content added, may I also recommend the exchange, which is free downloadable content made by other people who play the sims, if you have any other questions you can direct message me on youtube :)

I haven't played sims for many months, so hopefully the issue of elders not being able to actually use their canes got solved. Because dang, I want grandpa to walk around like an old gent.

You guys should make a camping sims 3 for the kids for summer and they can go every summer and do camp stuff like canoe, roast marshmallows, and stay in a cabin and have a camp counselor that would be really fun and it would only be for the kids and teens.

You'll never get expansion packs this superb in Sims 4 .Sims 3 totally is the champ of the Sims series.
My favorite expansion pack then seasons and university then late night. Sims 3 gave us so much. It will always be my number 1 sims Game.

My favourite Expansion Pack of all time... Thanks EA for giving us Generations. Now for the new stuff pack I would like more baby stuff, clothes furniture and stuff, it would be so awesome!

Seasons is best, more realistic. Being stuck in Summer the entire time, gets a bit boring.

i'm really glad that that they're doing more w/ teen sims, that was one of late night's shortcomings. dont get me wrong, i love late night, it's just that there wasn't much new stuff for teens, and a lot of my stories focus on teenage sims
Is it me or does including the ability for Sims to woohoo in a shower seem a little too weird for this expansion pack? I mean, it's good to have in case you only have a single bed, but why put it in this pack. It's centered around children and teens, not young adults through elders. If it was in the base game, I probably wouldn't think much of it, but putting it in this pack? Heck, it would have made more sense to add it in University life! I don't see this as a bad thing, but I don't understand it. At least we get dreaming!
This expansion pack is catering to every age group. Young Adults, Adults, and Elders have new things about their lives.
I totally agree that this is my favorite expansion, but I would love seasons.

love this expansion at first didn't think i would but adds alot stuff to the game you don't even notice as added content. Good job adding it into the game seemlessly
Remember in the Sims 2 when a penguin would wander into your Sims' yard and you could go and pet it? I loved that!
What we WANT is rabbit holes to be opened up and depth to be added to the core game play for EVERYONE. Not just children or teens, adults too. There is still not enough to do right now, and when you try to go on a date or outing, we are being limited. Take more time on your game and deliver a quality product that's actually worth it's price this time.
I'm actually super exited for this. I absolutely love the Sims - played and bought just about every expansion pack ever since the very first Sims game. But with the Sims 3, I find the things the Sims can do is limitted at times. With Generations, it's adding more depth and more excitement to the Sims lives so they have more choices. I'm so excited the Sims can finally have "woohoo" in the shower, teens can have parties. The little details make it way more realistic. So STOP COMPLAINING!
I wish teenagers had an opportunity to learn how to drive, and seeing all the stress and craziness that comes with it... But this is pretty awesome!

if you think about it, most of the sims 2-3 expansions were 50 bucks. Multiply that by 10 cause thats usually how many expansions there are, plus 20-30 bucks for a stuff pack. Mulitply that by 10 as well. Sims 3 pets is ONE expansion pack. And the console version is not 13 dollars unless its from gamestop.
this reminds me of sims 2 gameplay! Generations will be best of both worlds and more

@ThinkTink606432 It is, they decided to try and crank something out without making it fully explorable and spending a little more time on developing it so we can actually experience things with the sims.
Exactly I'd love to see how they could make university even greater with the Sims 3 such as item,more artsy dorms,more Gameplay options,ETC.Generations isn't bad I just wan't my Sims back to school.

I would love to have an animals EP! Something with not only regular cats and dogs, but with farm animals like horses, cows, goats, etc. wild animals like deer, raccoons, wolves, etc. and sea life like whales, dolphins, etc and maybe even a zoo!!

You know what I think would make a great expansion pack? A superhero one (Yeah how geeky). You could have superheroes and villains. And it could be interactive like the heroes have to save people from different kinds of disasters or they have to fight crooks at night and have showdowns with villains. Villains could go around stealing stuff and start "taking over the world" It could be hard to deliver, but if done right, I think it could be awesome. But this EP seems promising.
You know it is true that they took what the fans wanted - telling stories and making more moments... I am one who LOVES to make stories and have a blog for sims 3... pets are cute, but you can't make much of a story with that lol.
There is a hack for that on ModTheSims, but unfortunately, it only allows you to stretch the sims' height.
That and the taller you make your sim with it, the more their body stretches, the more it glitches out, and the more awkward their body proportions become.
So yeah. Hopefully EA will include an official slider for it in either a new expansion pack, or someone else creates a mod for it that works for both making your Sims short and taller without glitches.

what i really want is like when your teens are young adults they dont just move out or stay at home like let them go to college and if u want u could play as them while there at college and once u done u start a life of your own and the seasons change every single WEEK thats what i really want if u ask me like if u agree :)
@LordKalbert When the sims disappear into a building and you can't control them or see what they are doing. The move theater and the hospital are rabbit holes for example.

the easy way to have kids is to adopt. Just go on the phone and click adoption agency. They'll arrive a bit later asking what you want (girl, boy, kid, toddler, baby, stuff like that).

@mahalia80 it doesn't need one,it was built-in.In Sims 2 you can get from baby to elder,without an expanion pack.
Just an idea.
I would really like the option of turning off some of the supernatural elements of the game, through the game options screen. I don't mind them myself though I get annoyed with constantly having NPC vampire characters "Hunting" me when my sim goes out to dine. I expect the occasional Mummy in a pyrimid or a ghost in a cemitary at mid night, but The level of supernatural encounter should be customizable. Thanks for listening.

I love the new Sims 3 generations, it has a lot of cool stuffs. But if you're think about doing a new expansion pack can you please do so you can see what your Sim is doing in school or at work, that would be really really cool and i think many people would love it!

@huskycheer2015 I was saying that it could be an EP even if they were careers. You said that it didn't need to be an EP. I was simply stating that if more things should be added (and of course there would need to be, who wants an EP with just two careers?) in order to make it feel like a full EP. Like new superhero or villain like vehicles. More clothes and objects. Building designs that you could use to make homes look like Hero Watch Towers or a Villain's Lair. Those kinds of things.
I think this is the best SIms 3 EP yet. Defo worth 30 quid. :-)
