I went to the cinema for a first date year's ago, the date was going well we chatted before the movie, got our snacks and went to our seats. The movie was great, and as the lights came on at the end I looked to my right to ask if she enjoyed the movie only to find she wasn't there.
The guy behind me said she got up about an hour ago and hasn't come back.
She wanted you to put your hands down her pants mate but you didn’t so she went and sat with the guy in the front row who was more than willing.
Sorry but I don't believe that for a second. I can't imagine not having eyes on my date, especially if it was a first date.

First date for a movie used to be common. Not much chat, perhaps a kiss and that would carry you for a few weeks. Times have changed sadly.
Intermissions ended when projections went out. Board games are great to break the formality on a first date. It can bring out a sense of humour possibly killings the nerves.

This discussion shows how things have changed in recent times. Going to the pictures was the standard 1st date years ago. Possibly going dancing (real dancing, waltz and quickstep) would be number two, at the local Palais (dance hall). Going for a drink was way down the list.
